“Callie did a great job with our fur babies. She was able to stay an extra night for us when our flight back home was delayed. Definitely recommend!”

“Thank you Annika for taking great care of our 4 dogs! Knowing that they were in good care allowed us to enjoy our time away for the family wedding. The great communication while we were out of town really helped us so we didn't miss the dogs so much! We highly recommend Annika for any pet related care! She gets to know your pet and forms a bond which reduces the stress on you and your pets. Thank you again for being so awesome!”

“Erik was fantastic, great communication and actively engaged in asking questions about pet care and understanding their needs ahead of time. During the stay he put my mind at ease with pictures, updates, and made it much easier to be away from my pets and home. He was even able to make some last minute changes work and the animals loved spending time with him. Good vibes all around, definitely recommend! I will be booking with Erik again!”

“Randi is amazing - I just moved to the area from out of state, and was super anxious to find the right person for for my pup when I’m away. I knew Randi would be perfect after speaking to her via video chat, and confirmed again when we met for a meet and greet. She is very kind and intuitive, and my dog warmed up to her immediately. Randi made sure everything was followed flawlessly while I was away in terms of feeding, house things, potty breaks, etc, and went above and beyond with my dogs walks - she was sure to take him on loooong walks with new scenery, and was so attentive to all of his quirks. She sends many updates, and I was never concerned and/or worried about if my dog was left long or wasn’t getting attention - Randi is an excellent communicator so there is no room or need for worry. My pup was super happy when I came back and I knows he’s already missing his new friend. I cant wait to hire her again :)”

“Gwen was awesome with our 4 puppies!! She has a very calm and relaxing influence on them. We will definitely hire her again. Hope she is available!!!”

“Katie was great! Both of my babies LOVED her! She sent photos and updated us quickly when anything weird happened! Definitely a relief to have her!”

“11/10 recommend having Olivia take care of your pup. She was so great with our big dog who can have reactivity issues - finding some one who understands how to handle him is a godsend. She really understands dogs and that gives you as an owner total peace of mind while you’re out of town.”

“Thomas was incredible. He took excellent care of Louie and kept me updated throughout the trip!”

“Katheryn did a great job. Appreciated the photos and updates.”

“Lovely first time experience with JJ. Handled my motley bunch with calm professionalism. I was out of the country, which always makes me extra nervous, but smooth as silk. Really appreciate the informative updates. Hope they are available next time too!”

“Ashton is a phenomenal, caring pet sitter. She’s trustworthy, communicative and will care for your pets and home. She watched our 3 cars and dog when we went on a last minute trip over spring break. Delighted she was available and willing to stay in our house for 6 nights/7 days. Home was clean and tidy, she went above and beyond to ensure kitchen was clean, bedding removed from the bed, and the house was locked up. Felt completely safe with her, and know our pets loved her based on the photos she shared daily. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with three cats and help train dogs through the Leadershape! Now I typically share my dog sitting assistance with my friends (for free even!) although I don’t have pets in my own all animals will find a warm welcoming home here I’m currently working full-time, but I work in the evenings and come home on my breaks so plenty of time to check in on our furry friend during the work week I live in an apartment that has a fenced in yard for dogs and a neighborhood park nearby. I’ve sat for large dogs while living here and their needs have been accommodated!

“Liz was so sweet, personable, and attentive. Liz fed my dog, took her for a walk, and even sat on the floor with my dog to ease her anxiety. If you ever need a dog sitter in the Detroit area, I highly recommend Liz!”

“Kayla was awesome. She took great care of our two cats and our house. She’s a good communicator and and kept us informed during her stay. One of our cats requires medication three times a day, and Kayla didn’t flinch at this extra work. We’re grateful for her attentiveness and gladly recommend her without reservation.”

“Wow, Camila came to our hotel in Detroit on time, was very friendly and professional. Our dog was very happy while we went to a concert. Perfecto thanks!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, my parents raised seeing eye dogs, and I helped with training and daily care from a young age. In my teens, I helped my mom run a small dog-boarding business out of our home, so I'm used to dogs with all kinds of temperaments and routines. Over the years, I've often been the go-to friend for dogs that need a little extra patience or understanding, whether that's a shy senior or a high-energy handful. I recently lost my own pup, and while l'm not ready for another full-time, I miss having a dog around and love being able to offer that care and attention to someone else's. I'm currently working on fixing up my very old duplex so I'm home, tinkering around most of the time, and my schedule is flexible. If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

“Katie was literally a life-saver when I needed emergency sitting for my dogs. She is a great communicator and sitter. I can't thank her enough.”

About: Hiya! I’m John, a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. From my loyal Black Lab Doc, playful Mini Aussie Sakura, and regal Siberian cat Louis, to my tiny but demanding pea puffers, I’ve built a life surrounded by animals, learning how to meet their needs with patience, compassion, and respect. I’ve helped care for animals with a range of personalities and needs, from high-energy pups to sensitive or reactive pets who need a little extra space and understanding. I’m confident with medication management, basic training, and making even the shyest pets feel safe and seen. I bring the same sense of care and responsibility to pet sitting that I carried in my service as a U.S. Navy Veteran, and now as a Pre-Med Biology student. When I’m not studying or volunteering with the Belle Isle Conservancy, I’m often biking around Detroit or spending time with animals. They’re a grounding and joyful part of my life. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are my top priority. Whether they need a cuddle buddy, a calm presence, or a structured routine while you’re away, I’m here to treat them like family. My schedule is generally open and flexible, and I do my best to accommodate the unique needs of each pet and their family. While I occasionally travel, I only accept bookings when I know I can fully commit to your pet’s care. When I’m with your animals, they have my full attention, I stick to their routines, respect their comfort levels, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for every step of the way. When I enter someone’s home, I treat the space with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I always aim to leave things just as I found them, if not a little tidier. I also take time to scan the environment for anything that could pose a risk or distraction to your pet, making sure the space stays safe, calm, and just the way you left it. Your home and your pet’s routine are in good hands.

Medical Center pet parents share their Rover experiences
Thanks for taking good care of Girl and my home! The many updates and pics were great, would book again!

I hate leaving my pup for long periods of time, but I always feel comfortable leaving him with Nicole. Sends so many detailed updates and pictures, closely reads instructions, and leaves my place nice and clean. She’s the best!

Abdullah was a great sitter for my old pup, had prompt communication and pictures, and followed the notes for feeding and walking times. My dog is older in life, about 75 lbs, with limited use of his hind legs and takes daily medication. Abdullah was able to maneuver him into his wagon, help him while outside in the grass, and take care of any accidents. It was a great experience working with Abdullah from initial communication about the booking to post trip follow-up.

Randi took great care of my dog Max while I was gone! She goes above and beyond and great communication!

Had an amazing experience working with Alex! They were really easy to communicate with, attentive to our pup, and very reliable. Looking forward to working together more in the future

Sarah was wonderful! I would absolutely ask her to watch our sweet pup anytime! I felt so comfortable knowing she was there with Willie. She checked in with us daily and was very thorough when asking about Willie’s schedule.

Great communication, and the dogs seemed very well taken care of when I got back. Also, house was in order - would recommend to anyone!

Katharine is a fantastic pet sitter! Highly recommend and definitely would rebook. Our pets and home are happy and safe in her hands!

Jordan was very accommodating. Skye had him wrapped around her paw! She had a very lazy weekend, very spa like. Butt rubs on demand. She can be pushed to do her walks in the morning, treats will motivate her! Thanks Jordan

Maciyah was so great with my dogs and they were instantly comfortable with her during our meet and greet. I also hot tons of pictures during her stay and came home to a super happy dog, I highly recommend!

Gabbie was the perfect sitter. We had such a nice vacation knowing that our dogs were in great hands. She provided daily updates and pictures.

Ashton did a great job taking care of our critters!!! She stayed with them over a long weekend and the house was spotless and all the animals happy as could be when we got home. Thanks Ashton!!!

Karley was great! She regularly checked in with us while we were away with updates and pictures and the animals really took to her. She even went above and beyond when our dog had an accident and washed the bedding when it got soiled. Highly recommend!

Liz was so sweet, personable, and attentive. Liz fed my dog, took her for a walk, and even sat on the floor with my dog to ease her anxiety. If you ever need a dog sitter in the Detroit area, I highly recommend Liz!

Erica was incredibly sweet and attentive with my anxious doggie while i was out for a few hours. Erica is a great communicator. I’m so glad Erica was able to commit to sitting just a couple of days prior.

Kate is wonderful! She is excellent at communicating and I love having her stay with our animals and house.

This was my first time using Rover and I was admittedly pretty nervous. Loryn made everything so easy and calmed any nerves I had. My dog is pretty high energy, anxious and requires a lot of attention. Loryn took it all in stride and made it seem like no big deal at all. She kept me updated the entire week and sent pictures and videos and left my house in great shape. I will not hesitate to book her again.

Caitie was simply amazing with my 2 year old tortie cat Temperance. She needs a lot of play and hang time, Caitie was so attentive and sweet with her. Caitie’s communication was impeccable and the pictures I received were so cute. Thank you!!!
