About: I am a recent new graduate Physician Assistant and looking for employment. I have always adored animals and have pet sat for friends and families’ pets over the years. As a new graduate looking for a job, I have a lot of new free time on my hands and cannot think of a better way to fill the extra time that I have and to help make a little money than spending time and caring for animals! I am open to dog walking as well as drop in visits and overnight stays with you pet in your home! I will treat your pets with the same love, care, and attention that I give my own. Their safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities, and you can trust that they’ll be in kind and responsible hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member(s)! My hours at the hospital very, however, they are typically four shifts per week during the weekdays at varying hours. I am usually free both weekend days. My availability changes quite often and I will keep my profile updated! I am open to walking or doing drop in visits before and after visits and overnight visits when available! Please reach out if you have specific questions regarding availability. I am comfortable handling pets with a variety of needs. I was lucky enough to foster a beagle with diabetes with my college roommates, and this required administering daily insulin shots along with several oral medications.
“Shannon is very kind with humans and pets. She took care of my dog while I was away for a week. She was extremely reliable, making each visit on time. Shannon gave my dog his daily medications and treated the diarrhea my dog usually gets when I am away. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was well taken care of.”

“Caroline is an excellent pet sitter! We’ve used her twice when we’ve been out of town for extended time and she’s always taken excellent care of our cat, Bambi. She’s made sure to locate her even if she’s been hiding or sleeping, and always sends us photos. Our cat likes her so much that she comes out of hiding to greet her on every visit now. 😻”

“Sarah provided outstanding pet sitting for our cats and kittens. It is quite an undertaking, when you have cats AND kittens but Sarah is a pro. I especially appreciated her learning how we do things (types of food, litter, etc.) to make sure there was a seamless transition from our support to her support. All kitties were happy and healthy when we returned home. I also want to note that a storm blew through and we lost electricity. Sarah managed everything like a champ and even though we did not hire her to house sit, she was kind enough to make sure things seemed “right” and even went so far to help put a few things away when a delivery arrived. Excellent communicator and shared plenty of photos of our fur babies while we were away. I highly recommend Sarah.”

“Mary did a great job taking care of our 2 cats Melody and Birdie. She communicated with us very well, and followed our instructions. We were very happy with how she handled things. We will definitely use her services again. Highly recommended.”

About: Hello all my name is Danielle and I am here to give love to your fur babies. My husband and I are the loving owners of a 5 year St Bernard, 5 year old Anatolian shepherd, beautiful bird that is a green cheek conure. I have always loved animals and grew up next to a farm so I always was the kid trying to bring every stray kitten into the house. I grew up with many pets. 2 smaller mix breed dogs and 1 huge German shepherd I love them all!. I am available for walks drop in visits and overnights in my home only. I will be more than happy to care for your baby just as those on Rover whom have cared for mine. Send me a message to book! I am available evenings and weekends. I do have a full time job and do this in my free time. With my family support I can help others. My home is spacious and my dogs are very social with other dogs. I have a large back yard that is fully fenced in for more time to play outside. I am able to handle large dogs or any breeds. Happy to walk or sit with them in your home if needed. Ready to give lots of love.
“Rachel took excellent care of Alfie and Mattie, sent us daily updates and photos, and gave us great peace of mind that “our boys” were very well taken care of. We highly recommend Rachel!”

“Karsyn made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs for the weekend. Between all the check in’s and the photos, we knew our boys were in great hands! :) She is the absolute sweetest! We will definitely be using Karsyn for any future needs! :)”

“Maria was awesome. I knew from the first moment in our meet and greet that my Elton would be in good hands. Maria paid attention to every detail and completed all tasks to complete fruition as we planned. During the busiest travel time of the year, Maria made it possible for me to breathe and enjoy the time with my family without worrying about my little man alone at home. I received daily pictures and updates on each drop in. Elton was not alone, the pictures assured me he was happy and healthy. Elton took to Maria immediately at our first interaction as well. I will definitely use her next year in 2023, as well as refer her service to family and friends. I highly recommend using her as your pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors cats and dogs for about 10 years now. I also have dogs and cats of my own and have been a pet owner of dogs and cats since 2006. I currently work remote and have a flexible schedule. I can schedule drop in visits or walks throughout the day multiple times per week. I am flexible and can work with your schedule. I prefer to communicate or have a list provided by the pet owner to ensure I am not disrupting the cat or dogs schedule. The more I know about the pet, the better to ease the stress of the pet and the owner.
“Erin is absolutely fantastic. We have had her sit our cats on many occasions now and are so happy that we can rely on her. This recent time required a lot of extra requests and communication because of one of our cat’s medical needs and Erin was wonderful about all of it and super reassuring to us. I highly recommend her - she’s excellent!!”

I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and other care during the day, as well as evenings and weekends. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s normal routine. “Myah did a wonderful job with our Stella! When I walked in, Stella was like "oh you're here," which is the perfect and desired response when any of us return. Stella should know she is safe at home and whoever walks through that door will take care of her. And Myah did very well, meeting our girl's needs in our neighborhood. Will definitely rebook!”

“Abby is wonderful! She knows how to take good care of dogs and guinea pigs. Our pitbull mix Hazel got along with her really well. The guinea pigs were kept clean and healthy. I highly recommend her.”

“Elizabeth is truly amazing!!! She has looked after our babies twice now and she does not disappoint. I always know my cats are in good hands with her. Great communication and always quick with responses. Thanks Elizabeth for everything ❤️”

“I asked for a visit as I went out of town and needed someone for the last day as I had no idea what time I was coming home. I gave instructions and told him that he can leave after doing what was asked since I knew my cat was going to come out. I appreciate the stop by and making sure my cat had food as I was super worried that she was going to go hungry. Thank you for visiting and taking my request last minute.”

About: I have used Rover for years and couldn't be more grateful for the awesome sitters I have found for my dogs. Now that I am retired early, I'd love to return the favor by offering to help others with their dogs. I walk and hike everyday and until my current dog, have always owned big dogs. I have a pup of my own due to a foster failure, I just couldn't give him up. I have trained.and handled lot of different types of dogs as a volunteer for HARP and Canine Companions. Sandee was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time we had her cat sit and one of our cats and some unexpected medical needs arise and she was wonderful about keeping an eye out and keeping us apprised on how he was doing. She is super personable and did a great job!! Highly recommend!!

We are so thankful for the wonderful care our dog, Rudy, and guinea pigs received from Kade! It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were well cared for and happy while we were away. Communication was excellent. He gave Rudy lots of attention at each of his drop-ins with walks, playing with toys, etc. He was also attentive to our guinea pigs. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
