“This was my first time using Tawyna & John P "Clay" for doggy day care, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Clay was professional from the start and always prompt in responding to my questions, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, he took the time to give me a tour and patiently answered all of my questions. The multiple levels of fenced kennel runs with bark chips were very well done, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing that both of my Weimaraners were safe and secure. Most importantly, my dogs had a great time! They came home happy and happily worn out at the end of the day, which says everything. I’m so thankful for the care Clay provided and would absolutely recommend him to others looking for a safe, well-run place for their dogs.”

“We used Zuri for a daysitting. She was excellent with our 4 month puppy who has separation anxiety. She sent us pics and videos throughout the day to let us know our puppy was doing great. We will definitely plan to use Zuri in the future and would highly recommend her.”

“Matt has been wonderful in helping with my foster. He has been flexible with our hours as I don’t work traditional hours. He has helped socialize my girl with his dogs and I get pics to know she’s ok 👍🏽”

“Penny had a great day with Christina! During the day, Christina sent me photos of Penny and updates on how she was settling in and getting on with her family furry friends. Christina is super friendly and a great communicator. I felt totally at ease leaving Penny with her.”

“Kyra has been so wonderful to work with training our 1 year old! I can tell she genuinely cares about his development and well being. She is very responsive and flexible. We look forward to continuing having her and her pups be a part of our dog’s life.”

“Diana D. was so accommodating to take my little Harley at such short notice. When I came back to pick him up she shared with me some simple ways to help him feel more confident. Diana sent pictures throughout the day as well, which helped me get the a long meeting. Thank you again Diana.”

About: Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets for nearly two decades. My attention to detail never goes unnoticed and I am confident in my abilities to comfort your pet(s) by making them feel special and safe! I have experience with all kinds of creatures — dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents/ferrets, fish, and waterfowl, at all stages of life. Yes, even your beloved seniors. I’m a parent/caregiver to a child with disabilities and while that does not affect my ability to care for animals, it can limit some of my time due to my child’s day-to-day needs, appointments, etc. I update my calendar accordingly to reflect my availability. With that said, most of our appointments are virtual or in-home and I am a stay at home mom so I still have plenty of time for pet care. I have a large fenced in yard for dogs and I am always nearby supervising. I allow pets on furniture and treat them just like my own when I’m watching pets in my home. Instructions regarding potty breaks, feeding, kennel time, medications, etc., are always followed if given.

“I have a Great Dane puppy that has stayed with Laura and her husband several times and they have always taken excellent care of him. Laura always sends me pictures pictures during his stay. They have a labrador named Riley, and my puppy just loves him to pieces. I am leaving the country for a week next month and my puppy will be boarded with Laura. I have ZERO concerns leaving him there as I know he will be in great hands. If you need a sitter or a place to board your dog, I highly, highly recommend them! ”

About: I’ve owned cats all my life, and a few dogs. I have experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with both cats and dogs when I was younger . I have a 4H background as well. We adopted our dog Frida 2 years ago. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom with a flexible schedule. We are home often and already own a dog. It's not much more work to add one or two into the mix. My kids love dogs and enjoy meeting new ones. We all love that owning dogs helps us to be outside more, either playing with the dogs or taking them on walks. My three children adore dogs and cats, and will give lots of love and attention. We live near parks and have a great neighborhood for walks. Dogs are allowed to free range of the house and fenced yard. They are allowed on the couches.
“Callie had an absolute blast! I appreciate the communication and updates! Gayle and her family are very friendly and took great care of Callie. I can’t wait to book again so she gets used to being in a new space! Thanks again , she is wore out! 🤗😴”

About: If you’re looking for a safe, loving place for your dog while you’re away, I’d love to help! I grew up surrounded by animals on a Japanese maple farm with over 20 horses and lots of dogs, both indoor and working dogs, caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and training backgrounds. I am a student and only have one in-person class this term, giving me lots of availability for quality time with your pup! I live in a cute, quiet neighborhood near a park and walking trail, and I usually go for walks in the mornings and a couple miles before dinner when my partner comes home from work (weather permitting). I’d happily bring your dog along for those little adventures so they get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and stimulation. I believe mental and physical exercise is very important for all breeds! After walks and a lot of playing, I make sure to keep track of any supplements and food schedules needed (usually by setting reminders and alarms on my phone) I also know how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I like to send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pup is doing. If you have any questions or want to chat about your dog’s specific needs, feel free to reach out. I’d love to meet you both!
“Best day ever . Shes a great sitter and he had so much fun . He's only four months old 70 lbs, never been around other dogs and she was able to get him acquainted and He made new friends, and she was definitely capable of handling a new excited Dog, meeting other dogs. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 265 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across McCoy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your McCoy commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 265 sitters in McCoy, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
