“Matt has been wonderful in helping with my foster. He has been flexible with our hours as I don’t work traditional hours. He has helped socialize my girl with his dogs and I get pics to know she’s ok 👍🏽”
“Penny had a great day with Christina! During the day, Christina sent me photos of Penny and updates on how she was settling in and getting on with her family furry friends. Christina is super friendly and a great communicator. I felt totally at ease leaving Penny with her.”

“Megan did a great job sitting with Duke in our house and kept in touch during her stay with texts and photos. We are planning a trip later and will use Megan again for house sitting.”

“Danielle was wonderful with our shy, anxious rescue. She communicated well and asked plenty of great questions, was kind and patient, and has a calm demeanor. We weren't able to do a meet and greet in advance since I was traveling through, which made it even more impressive that my pup warmed up to her right away and relaxed so quickly. Responsible, professional service. Highly recommend!”

“Zuri is an exceptional sitter, I’m so thankful to found her, she’s always been sweet and kind to reply and take care of my big boy. I’m sure my puppy is always happy to be at her house. She takes some adorable pictures and videos and send it to me. An amazing sitter that I love!!”

“Mickenzie was absolutely wonderful with my new puppy, Salem-Blue! From our first interaction, it was clear that she’s a natural with animals, and she went above and beyond to ensure Salem-Blue was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Her communication was excellent, updating me with texts and adorable photos throughout the day. It was such a relief to know my puppy was in such loving and capable hands. I highly recommend Mickenzie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter. Thank you, Mickenzie, for being so amazing!”

About: Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets for nearly two decades. My attention to detail never goes unnoticed and I am confident in my abilities to comfort your pet(s) by making them feel special and safe! I have experience with all kinds of creatures — dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents/ferrets, fish, and waterfowl, at all stages of life. Yes, even your beloved seniors. I’m a parent/caregiver to a child with disabilities and while that does not affect my ability to care for animals, it can limit some of my time due to my child’s day-to-day needs, appointments, etc. I update my calendar accordingly to reflect my availability. With that said, most of our appointments are virtual or in-home and I am a stay at home mom so I still have plenty of time for pet care. I have a large fenced in yard for dogs and I am always nearby supervising. I allow pets on furniture and treat them just like my own when I’m watching pets in my home. Instructions regarding potty breaks, feeding, kennel time, medications, etc., are always followed if given.
“Diana D. was so accommodating to take my little Harley at such short notice. When I came back to pick him up she shared with me some simple ways to help him feel more confident. Diana sent pictures throughout the day as well, which helped me get the a long meeting. Thank you again Diana.”

“Jennifer has been an amazing sitter for Peggy, our little frenchie. Peggy is always excited to go to Jennifer’s and play with her doggy friends. She always come home happy and exhausted, which is perfect. Jennifer is very communicative, understanding, and always go above and beyond for us and our Peggy. We’re very happy to have found her!”
“Tess was available with short notice. She was able to wrangle my energetic dogs through their first babysitting experience. They were with her for a couple of hours and were extremely comfortable. Thanks, Tess!”

“I’m super happy with my experience with Alex and his daycare. My six month old puppy spent the afternoon with him and his other pups and did really well. I was nervous because it was our first time and Atlas is a smaller breed but he warmed up in no time! Alex sent pictures and was easy to talk to. I’ll definitely be being Atlas back!”

“Natalia is the right choice for a pet sitter. I’m so glad I found her. She did amazing with my dog. She’s friendly, professional, and reliable. Plus, she takes amazing photos! My dog came home each day happier than ever and was always excited to see her again. I could tell he was taken care of well. She also has a very clean house! I highly recommend Natalia.”

“Lauren was great! She was flexible & accommodating, loved on our Tucker dog, who can have high separation anxiety, and communicated with us through the day to let us know how he was doing and to verify any concerns. It was a blessing to have her watch him for the day, allowing him to join us on this trip but to know he was in good hands while we completed activities he could not join us for. We would definitely use Lauren again!”
About: I had been pet sitting regularly for clients in Bailey, CO for the past five years until we moved down to Mesquite, NV. They had an English and Bull Mastiff plus horses, goats and chickens. I take care of dogs for my friends who have recommended me to other clients over the course of the last fifteen years. I am a total dog lover and love to stop and pet each and every one I come across. I take daily walks, weather permitting, with the dogs I am taking care of, including the English Mastiff! Because I do not have a full time job, I am available weekdays and weekends and am very flexible regarding times. I love and treat each dog as my own. I moved from Mesquite to Woodburn, OR 2 years ago and am starting to get back into dog sitting again. So please reach out if you need to board your dog at my house. I have a home with a nice backyard and am close to Centennial Park which has two dog parks, one for smaller dogs and the other for the bigger ones. Pet sitting and dog walking are my only job. I can devote all my time each day to taking care of your pets. I will take your pups for a walk or a jog each day I have them and give them all the attention they want. I have a fenced in backyard that we can play in. I do let pets on my furniture if it’s ok with the client. I will totally love on your pup until they feel comfortable and safe in my home.
“Chloe and her family took great care of our pup when we were in town for a softball tournament. She was really flexible in accommodating our last minute game schedules for drop off and pick up. ?”

About: I am a dog lover who was born and raised with dogs. I have raised 2 dogs from pups of my own and cared for my late elderly girl at the end of her life. I have 18 years of experience caring for and training my own dogs as well, caring for family pets, and work experience in a vet clinic. I am a stay at home mom and college student. My schedule is flexible and allows me to be home the majority of the time. I provide respectful and responsible service. I have a secure, dog-friendly home with a large fenced backyard. My lab Potter will love to play and run with your fur baby!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Eola Crest
This was my first time using Tawyna & John P "Clay" for doggy day care, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Clay was professional from the start and always prompt in responding to my questions, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, he took the time to give me a tour and patiently answered all of my questions. The multiple levels of fenced kennel runs with bark chips were very well done, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing that both of my Weimaraners were safe and secure. Most importantly, my dogs had a great time! They came home happy and happily worn out at the end of the day, which says everything. I’m so thankful for the care Clay provided and would absolutely recommend him to others looking for a safe, well-run place for their dogs.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
