A Home Away From Home

Welcome to Gratefull Gardens, our peaceful 25-acre organic farm nestled in the scenic Amity countryside, conveniently located between Salem and McMinnville, Oregon. Here, your beloved canine companion will experience the perfect blend of freedom, safety, and attentive care while you’re away. We work from home managing our organic farming business, allowing us to provide your dog with constant companionship, regular bathroom breaks, and plenty of space to explore and play. Our sprawling property sits a quarter mile from the main road and is entirely fenced, creating a secure sanctuary where your dog can enjoy farm life without worry. Your dog’s safety is our absolute priority. Our property features multiple secure, fenced yard areas that allow us to keep dogs safely separated when not under direct supervision. We understand that each dog has unique needs and temperaments - whether your furry friend prefers solo time or enjoys socializing, we can accommodate them perfectly. We always feed dogs separately to prevent any mealtime tensions, and our structured environment ensures peace of mind for both you and your pet. Dogs staying with us enjoy all-day playtime in various settings across our farm. The highlight is our “personal dog park” - a completely fenced 3-acre playground where dogs can run off-leash several times daily. This special area features rolling hills that provide natural exercise as dogs bound up and down the slopes. For comfort and safety, we provide climate-controlled indoor spaces where your dog can sleep, eat, and retreat from unfavorable weather conditions. This ensures your pet remains comfortable regardless of Oregon’s sometimes unpredictable weather patterns. Our resident dog Layla is exceptionally friendly and adaptable. She loves playing with other dogs but is equally content doing her own thing if your dog prefers space. We’re experienced in caring for dogs with special needs, senior dogs, and those with anxiety. Whether your dog requires medication, follows a specialized diet including raw food, or simply needs extra patience and understanding, we’re fully prepared to meet their needs. We’ll keep you connected to your furry family member by sending regular updates and photos throughout their stay. We invite you to consider our farm for your dog’s next vacation. They’ll return to you happy, exercised, and eager to tell you about their adventures in Oregon wine country! Thanks, and have a grateful day!

Our pup was so excited to see us when we arrived for pick up and hesitant to get into the car when we left! All we could ask for. Clay was great and communicative to let us know how our pup did. We will be booking again in the future. Thank you!

Great boarding experience! Owners were kind and seemed to genuinely care about the dogs. The kennels are spacious, cozy, and safe. The play areas are actually play areas and not just small dog runs. My pup came back happy, healthy, and exhausted. She was happy to see us at the end, but was also a bit upset to leave!

We dropped our dog off for a 8 day stay while we were on our honeymoon. Lenny came back tired. We loved the idea of the dogs being able to roam free in the large areas vs being kenneled all week. It appears he got lots of social time and exercise. Not many updates or pictures throughout the week but was okay with us.

They always take great care of our dogs (2 Bernese mountain dogs). They always come home exhausted from all the outdoor running and playing :)

Doggy Day Care • Feb 25, 2026

This was my first time using Tawyna & John P "Clay" for doggy day care, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Clay was professional from the start and always prompt in responding to my questions, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, he took the time to give me a tour and patiently answered all of my questions. The multiple levels of fenced kennel runs with bark chips were very well done, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing that both of my Weimaraners were safe and secure. Most importantly, my dogs had a great time! They came home happy and happily worn out at the end of the day, which says everything. I’m so thankful for the care Clay provided and would absolutely recommend him to others looking for a safe, well-run place for their dogs.
