About: I grew up on a farm and have cared for dogs and cats since I was 12. I moved to Richmond a few months ago to begin graduate school, but because my roommate is allergic to dogs, I had to leave my own dogs with my parents. I also have experience working at a doggie daycare, where I cared for dogs with different personalities, needs, and energy levels. I miss spending time with them dearly, so I would love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were my own. It would be a privilege to give your furry family member the same care, attention, and affection I give my own animals. As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to make pet care a consistent part of my daily routine. I can plan walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins around my classes and schoolwork, giving each pet the attention they deserve. I also enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so taking dogs on walks would fit naturally into my routine. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule to help them feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. Because my roommate is allergic to dogs, I’m unable to provide pet-care services in my own home. However, I’m happy to care for pets in their own home, where they can remain comfortable in a familiar environment. I will carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and any other parts of your pet’s usual routine. I’ll treat your home respectfully, give your pet plenty of attention and affection, and provide regular updates so you can feel confident that your loved one is safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs for most of my life and already occasionally pet sit for friends and family. I used to work as a caretaker at a doggy daycare, and decided to continue pet care alongside my new job as it became such a fulfilling part of my life. I'm experienced with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and I'm experienced with a variety of other animals such as cats, fish, lizards, turtles, birds, and hermit crabs. My current work schedule follows the standard Mon-Fri 8-5, with most of my weekends and evenings open. Because of this, I'd be most suited for pets that are used to this schedule already. Otherwise, I try my best to stick to their current schedule for things like feeding and walks. I always feel comfortable meeting the parent(s) and pet before the booking. I can take care of all basic tasks and am very adaptable, patient, and reliable. I do my best to learn about each pet's little mannerisms and quirks so I can accommodate them the best I can while keeping them and your home safe. I want to make sure both you and your pet end up happy! I always ask that I'm given the pet's vet and an emergency contact as well, just in case.
