“As always, my boys and my house were confidently in the best of hands with Mallory. Both my dog and my cat absolutely love Mallory and my house is always under exceptional care. Seriously couldn’t recommend a better sitter.”

“This was my first time having someone stay at my house with my pup instead of bringing her somewhere. I completely trust Oli with her, it went well! I look forward to Oli helping my pup again for a wedding in September :)”

“Kate was awesome!! She was very communicative with us the entire time, sending lots of updates with pictures and videos. Our dog was very well taken care of and got all the exercise and attention she needed. ?”

“Sara was great! We left our Nailah home for a night while we went on a trip and she took good care of her. She sent pictures as well as updates while we were gone and our Nailah really seemed to love her. Would highly recommend 10/10”

“We had an excellent experience with Camryn. Her communication was outstanding from start to finish, quick responses, clear updates, and plenty of photos that gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Leaving senior dogs is never easy, but we truly felt comfortable and confident they were in good hands. She was attentive to their needs, patient, and clearly experienced with older dogs (and a mischievous cat). We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups and a smooth overall experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Amanda is amazing! She’s stayed with our animals twice now and we’ll keep booking her anytime we’re out of town. The animals have always been so well cared for and our house perfectly clean. She was super flexible when we left town last week amidst the water debacle and had to stay at another location with our animals. She’s very communicative and always sends updates with pictures throughout the day. We can’t recommend her enough.”

“Dawn was absolutely wonderful! She kept us consistently updated with daily check-in photos of our pups, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I had a pretty detailed (and admittedly long!) list of instructions for our dogs, and she took the time to carefully review everything with patience and professionalism. She followed through on every detail and made sure our fur babies were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and comfortable. It’s clear that Dawn truly loves what she does. Her communication was excellent, and she was always quick to respond if we had a question. Knowing our “dog kids” were in such capable, attentive hands made it so much easier for us to relax and fully enjoy our vacation. We’re so grateful for her care and would absolutely trust her with our pups again!”

“What an amazing job from an amazing sitter! Christine was extremely polite, communicative, and always checking in with pictures and updates. She not only took care of Delilah, she took great care of the house! 100% recommended and 100% plan to rebook in the future. Thanks again!!”

“Katharine was amazing with our 3 year old golden retriever. We received daily updates and photos and trusted her so much with our pet (our baby!). She also left our house in perfect condition when we got home from a long trip. I couldn’t recommend Katharine more!”

“Victor was an exceptional guest and a wonderful caretaker for my two dogs. He followed all instructions carefully, maintained great communication while I was away, and most importantly, my dogs absolutely adored him. The house was spotless when I returned! Victor went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets and home were in such capable hands. I would not hesitate to welcome him back again. Highly recommended!”

“Kylie was great! Super communicative and quick to respond. We were nervous to use a service as our pup had only spent time with family previously, but Kylie did a stellar job easing our minds and offering care to both our home and pup while we were away. 10/10 would use again!”

“Really prompt and super understanding with some last minute issues. Dogs were perfectly content and the house was exactly as I left it. Would def recommend Alex!”

“Haley was simply awesome!!! Great communication throughout the week she house sat for us, with plenty of pics of how our animals were doing. Came home to a home that was clean and dogs happy. Would highly reccomend and would use Haley again!!”

About: Hi! I’m a Richmond-based pet sitter with a special focus on cats. I take a calm, fear-free, positive-reinforcement approach to care, which means meeting animals where they are and letting trust build naturally. I’m especially experienced with caretaking for sick, chronically ill, and disabled cats. I understand firsthand how important it is to be patient, attentive, and extra caring to these precious creatures. I’m often told, “My pet doesn’t like anyone — I can’t believe they're letting you pet them.” I think animals respond to my quiet energy and respect for their boundaries. My philosophy is to never rush interaction, and I’m attentive to body language and stress signals. While cats are my specialty, I’m also comfortable with smaller dogs of varying temperaments and energy levels. My goal is always the same, to make your pet feel safe, understood, and cared for. I'm mostly self employed. I make my own schedule and can largely tailor it to your pet's needs. I tend to be a night owl so I can take care of them late into the night if needed. I can also bring my work to your home if full housesitting is preferred! I care for pets in their own environment for two reasons: I am unable to host them with my animals, and I believe they are most comfortable where they are most familiar. I follow each pet’s established routine closely. This includes feeding schedules, litter box or yard care, medications, enrichment, and any specific behavioral preferences. For cats, I prioritize calm entry, gentle engagement, and giving them the option to approach me first. I’m attentive to subtle stress signals and adjust my interaction level accordingly. I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for changes in appetite, litter habits, or behavior. For dogs, I provide structured walks, play, and positive reinforcement while maintaining consistent boundaries. I keep spaces clean, send detailed updates with photos, and aim to leave your home exactly as I found it (or better).
“Cindy was wonderful. She took excellent care of our senior cats while we were away for the holidays. Kind, thorough, and very communicative, we knew she was taking great care of them so we could relax on our travels. Very grateful for that! Recommend Cindy highly!”

“Abbey was great with Sophie! Abbey house-sat Soph and Sophie seemed to enjoy herself! I enjoyed the peace of mind of receiving a mid-booking photo of Sophie enjoying her walk. Thanks Abbey!”

“Nora was a fantastic pet sitter for my dog. She was very considerate and attentive to learning all the details about my dog. I would gladly have her back again and felt so comfortable with her staying at my home.”

“Emily was great housing sitting our dog, Ginger. She sent us regular updates on Ginger along with photos. We could really enjoy our vacation knowing that Ginger was being loved and cared for at our home. Additionally, Emily was a thoughtful and considerate house guest. We would absolutely have her house sit Ginger again in the future.”

“Jora was great! Koda is a high energy dog and needs a good amount of physical and mental stimulation to keep her from getting into mischief. When I got home, she was completely relaxed almost like I never left. The house looked like it did when I left for my trip and I got great updates throughout the weekend from Jora on how it was going. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again.”

Katie was awesome! She house sit for my black lab Great Dane mix, Bryce. Bryce felt totally comfortable with Katie eating all of his meals with her! The house was in great condition when we came back. We will definitely look to have Katie watch Bryce again the future!

Charlotte was absolutely a perfect choice to leave our hounds and old man pup with! You can tell that they were very well loved on by her and that she took great care of them. We appreciate her patience and communication with us and would absolutely work with her again. She took great care of our home and went as far as washing all our bedding before we came home too. Thank you so much again, Charlotte!

Dawn is very pleasant and personable, very loving and caring towards my sweet dog. Sent photos every day of her stay, which kept me confident about my dog and the care she was receiving. Dawn took her for neighborhood walks. Left a very favorable impression!!

Bee was taking care of our pup for a week in our place and we have only nice things to say. She felt comfortable giving Kaan his daily medicine and updated us with cute pictures of them snuggling and walking. We knew our pup was in great hands and she left our place spotless as well. We highly recommend Bee and are so happy that we found her. Thank you 🙏🏻

Our first time using Rover. Saw Mallory had fantastic reviews so we decided to go with her. From the meet and greet to us returning from our trip, everything was great!
