About: Hi, I’m Bryanna! Caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember 🐶 I’ve had three German Shepherds over the years, so I’m very comfortable with larger breeds, high-energy dogs, and everything that comes with them, including barking, whining, and big personalities. Because of that experience, I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I’ve cared for: 🐾 Puppies (including training patience and high energy) 🐾 Senior dogs (gentle care, slower pace, extra attention) 🐾 Rescue dogs (understanding unique behaviors and needs) 🐾 Cats (including drop-in visits and care) For the past 4 years, I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends, helping with everything from daily walks to extended stays. I also currently volunteer with HCSO Animal Services, which has given me even more hands-on experience working with dogs of different backgrounds and personalities. This has really strengthened my ability to read behavior, build trust, and provide calm, attentive care. Weekdays: 🐾 Morning visits before work (7:00–9:00 AM) 🐾 Evenings fully available after 5:00 PM Weekends: 🐾 Fully available and flexible I do my best to accommodate different schedules, so feel free to reach out with your needs! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I make sure to follow your instructions closely so your pet can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment. I stick to their normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific care needs. I’m very attentive to behavior and surroundings, and I always make sure: 🐾 Doors, gates, and leashes are secure 🐾 Your pet is safe and comfortable at all times 🐾 Any changes in behavior are noticed and communicated With my experience owning three German Shepherds, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, including strong or high-energy breeds. I’m also experienced with puppies, senior dogs, and rescues, so I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I do require a meet-and-greet with you and your pet before any booking. This helps ensure a good fit and allows me to understand your pet’s routine, personality, and needs. I treat every home with respect and every pet like my own. You can expect regular updates, photos, and open communication so you always feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve always believed that no two animals are exactly alike, and that’s one of my favorite things about caring for them! Whether it’s a curious puppy learning the ropes, a high energy dog that wants to run around and play, or a senior pet who needs a gentler approach and patience with a lot of care and attention, or a shy kitty who takes a little time to warm up, I really do enjoy discovering what makes each animal unique. My experience caring for my own pets and those of family and friends has really helped me to be observant, adaptable, and patient with different personalities and needs. I’m happy to make room for all kinds of pet personalities, from the playful little troublemakers to the quiet companions who simply enjoy having someone nearby. I also appreciate the importance of consistency with basic puppy training, feeding instructions, and special care routines. I bring a thoughtful, attentive approach to every pet I meet, and I love finding little ways to make their day more enjoyable, whether that means playtime, gentle companionship, or letting them explore at their own pace. Ultimately, I want to be the sitter whose name makes you feel relieved to see on your schedule because you know your pet will be in caring, capable hands. I would love the opportunity to get to know your pet, earn their trust, and become someone you’re happy to call on again and again! 💗 and small fun facts, i've helped taken care of exotic pets like snakes, and turtles, and you're more likely pets like ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies! i also know pet CPR in cases of emergencies for cats and dogs! I'm currently a nursing student but I am available from friday-saturday all day and sunday after 1pm! I am able to take care of your furry friends practically from early mornings to late nights if needed! While caring for pets in their own abode, i strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while maintaining their usual routines! (especially since i'll be a new face for them). I completely understand that each and every pet has their own unique preferences, needs, and personalities and I am able to quickly adapt to them to provide efficient and effective personalized care! Following the owners provided instructions carefully no matter what it may entail so that your fur baby gets all the proper care and attention they deserve, but the key to all of this is upmost respect to the family and home and patience to take care of them. My goal is that every pet parent to have peace of mind knowing that their furry companion is in caring and responsible hands, and i'll gladly send / upload photos and videos so you can see how your baby is doing throughout the day!

About: I began house sitting for an assortment of pets when I was just 11 years old. I have cared for horses, cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs, cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents. I myself own a labradoodle and two geckos, and aid my siblings in caring for their snakes and bearded dragons. I have been flown out by family to care for their pets for weeks at a time and I have handled them in both sickness and in health. I have experience caring for creatures with disabilities as well as ones on medication or diets, I have memorized homemade dog food recipes as well for sensitive stomachs. Whatever beautiful creature left in my care will be treated with the best care possible and with gentle hands, for I believe you should treat all animals with the same care you’d give a close family member. I hope to meet your sweet souls and give them all the love they deserve. I am a part-time college student, studying to be a nurse. But I have a very flexible schedule and my classes are considered hybrids, so I could easily do my work online from your home where your beautiful creatures are still under my supervision just as easily! The only days I consider to be a bit packed are Mondays and Tuesdays, but it can easily be rearranged to your needs! I have a dog and two geckos of my own, and I make sure to treat my babies with the best care possible. My dog is taken out on walks twice a week, and the other days we play in the yard to let her get out what remaining energy she has, considering she is getting older, I try not to be harsh on her and accommodate our active time to what her body signals. I brush her every other day and infuse her fur with show dog finishing spray to ensure she smells good and I make sure to use sprays that are specifically pet friendly as not to irritate her nose or skin. She is completely potty trained and behavior trained by me and she listens very well and has never had an accident. I had cared for three other dogs of our own in the past, and all of them had different needs considering they have all been rescues. Our prior dog had very bad anxiety, but I was able to help him through it without any medications necessary with constant comfort, assurance, and presence. I have cared for seniors, amputees, blinded, and special needs pets, including both dogs and cats, and can follow whatever routine you’d like if you have preferences! I also offer stability in moods and tone. I know animals are very prone to reflecting whatever emotion a human is displaying to them, so I’ve always been cautious of my reactions and the way I speak to them. I can be stern if it’s necessary, but I’d consider it gentle parenting type of stern!

“As a first time Cat owner, we were very concerned about the welfare both physically and emotionally with having to leave our cat for a few days alone to attend a family function. We were fortunate enough to have found Janicia on this Rover app. We found Janicia to be a very caring, compassionate and genuinely concerned sitter who who took excellent, care of Peaches {the cat}; taking care of her physical needs as well as her need to be shown a bit of personal, one on one attention. Janicia provided all of the above. We heartily, without reservation, recommend Janicia to any one looking for a warm, friendly and genuinely attentive cat sitter !”

About: Whenever a family friend would go out of town she would always reach out to me first to go check on her 4 dogs, checking their bowls, if theres any poo to clean up, and of course give them love and attention before heading back out. I have a shih tzu at home which is my family dog 8 years old now, a bearded dragon, and a parakeet, they're my babies. I currently work 2 jobs, one of them is a CNA at Encompass Health in which I self schedule. The other is at Altitude Trampoline Park, as a cashier and party host. In total I usually work 3-4 days out of the week. It varies. On my days off I am open to come care for fur babies. In my home, I take care of my shih tzu taking him out first thing in the morning, then feeding him, and keeping him company. He is so nosey he always needs to follow me or my mom around and requires nap time. Sometimes if he allows me I take him out for a walk, he’s very picky so he’ll want to walk down 3 houses then drag me back home. With my parakeet and bearded dragon I give them attention, feed them, treats, and hold them depending on how social they’re feeling.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up on my family’s farm, I had the opportunity to care for all kinds of animals and learn how to meet their individual needs. I’ve raised and cared for newborn puppies and dogs, kittens and cats, horses, ducks, chickens, reptiles, fish, and so much more. Today, I’m a proud pet mom to Duke, my senior dog, and my two cats, Charlotte and Finley. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your pets. Whether your pet needs a little extra attention, a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, playtime, or simply some company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and make sure you receive plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I work full time Monday - Friday 7-3:30pm. Fridays and Weekends I am available as needed and can be contacted at any time for service. I love walking dogs and will ensure your baby gets the exercise and love they need with safety being my main priority. I have a life long habit of double checking locks, leashes, and food/water bowls. As a pet owner myself - my eldest dog duke has been through not one, but TWO knee surgeries so i am comfortable with giving medication, and bandaging as needed.

About: Hi, I'm Johnnie! I have a background in Human Services and Counseling, so attentiveness and genuine care come naturally to me. I've helped look after family and friends' pets and understand the trust it takes to welcome someone into your home. I specialize in house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I show up on time, send regular photo updates, and treat every pet like my own. Looking forward to meeting yours! 🐾 Your pet is my top priority throughout the day and even at night no matter what! If I eat your pet eats if I go out for a walk most certainly your pet will be walking with me! Your pet will always align into my schedule perfectly synced. In my home I only hope that I am provided a thorough explanation of what type of care and personality your pet has so that I may adjust myself accordingly. Having the supplies needed to care for your pet is also a huge relief and is appreciated. In your home (should you allow me to) caring for your pet in your home is right next to caring for your pet in the president's own house, I'll settle for nothing but giving my best for you and your pet.

Karin took care of our dogs very well and we thank her for her drop ins to make sure our dogs were fed and let outside. She did end up having to cancel the booking half way through our trip. So we were forced to cut our vacation to see family short and get an overnight flight back home, since we couldn’t find another sitter in such short notice. I’m sure the rest of the booking would have went well if she didn’t have an unfortunate circumstance happen. Thank you Karin.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
