“Samantha is AMAZING .. I have 4 bassets.. they LOVE her. She's a blessing to me😍 leaving my hounds stresses me... I know Samatha follows my over protective instructions .. I'm thankful for her💖”

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have cared for family and friends’ animals—including feeding, walking, and spending quality time with them. I’m especially attentive to each pet’s personality and routine, and I make it a priority to keep them comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away. I’m quick to learn, respectful of your home, and always follow instructions closely. Whether it’s giving extra cuddles, sticking to a feeding schedule, or going for a long walk, I’m committed to making sure your pet feels loved and cared for. I am a stay at home mom and have a lot of spare time. I have a pet Chihuahua and also have small pets guinea pigs and hamsters. I pet set for neighbors in my community. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m someone who thrives on structure and responsibility, so caring for pets—whether it’s feeding, walking, or just spending quality time—is something I’m happy to make time for. I keep a flexible schedule, which allows me to give each pet the attention they need, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. Even when I’m not actively sitting, I find myself reading about pet care, watching training tips, or helping friends with their pets. It’s something I’m passionate about, and I love how it adds joy and purpose to my day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment that helps pets feel secure and comfortable. In my home, I keep things clean, pet-safe, and welcoming. I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible—meal times, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel right at home. I provide lots of attention, positive interaction, and a quiet place to relax. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet and the space. I stick to your rules and routines, from feeding schedules to walk times, and I always make sure your pet has fresh water, exercise, and company. I keep things tidy and give regular updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: I have been a responsible for taking care of pets since the first grade, thanks to my parents instilling responsibility from a young age with pet ownership. Since then, family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me to take of their fur-babies when they cannot be included on family adventures. I am currently available 7 days a week to play, walk, stay over night, or feed your pet while you are living your best life. When taking care of a pet in a client's home, I make sure to follow all instructions of care while still providing all the love and care to your pet.

About: Whenever a family friend would go out of town she would always reach out to me first to go check on her 4 dogs, checking their bowls, if theres any poo to clean up, and of course give them love and attention before heading back out. I have a shih tzu at home which is my family dog 8 years old now, a bearded dragon, and a parakeet, they're my babies. I currently work 2 jobs, one of them is a CNA at Encompass Health in which I self schedule. The other is at Altitude Trampoline Park, as a cashier and party host. In total I usually work 3-4 days out of the week. It varies. On my days off I am open to come care for fur babies. In my home, I take care of my shih tzu taking him out first thing in the morning, then feeding him, and keeping him company. He is so nosey he always needs to follow me or my mom around and requires nap time. Sometimes if he allows me I take him out for a walk, he’s very picky so he’ll want to walk down 3 houses then drag me back home. With my parakeet and bearded dragon I give them attention, feed them, treats, and hold them depending on how social they’re feeling.
About: Hi! I'm Renee. Within the last year and a half both of our English mastiffs have passed. They have such a great life with us though and completed our family! I really want to have a dog in the home (temporarily, of course) since we do not plan on getting another one quite yet. Our mastiffs were truly our babies are were treated like royalty. I am a stay at home mom so I am home all of the time! Perfect for a needy pup. Haha. We have a fenced in yard, plenty of space and a fun toddler who can keep up with their energy. Reach out to book! :) *must be good around kids* I am home all of the time! I am very flexible. I go to the gym in the mornings for an hour and then right back home. My home already had two very big dogs for a long time before they passed away. We have a whole spare room if your pup needed their space and a fenced in yard so they can potty without worrying about escaping. I love to spoil them and would LOVE to have them in my home! My heart would be so happy to hang out with a dog again since we aren't ready to get another one just yet.
“We had a great experience with Cheryl on Rover! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our cats. Cheryl sent regular updates with photos, which we really appreciated and found reassuring. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and clean litter areas. We would absolutely book with Cheryl again and highly recommend her to other cat owners.”

“Syndney was FANTASTIC! She is the sweetest dog sitter and truly loves to do this! She was so responsive and attentive; it gave us so much comfort during a day-trip away. She watched 3 dogs at once at our house and she did it seamlessly. Each one of the dogs has a unique personality and Sydney made sure they were so well cared for. The most wonderful touch to her booking was a very thoughtful note, polaroid picture for memories, and doggy treats!! She is just so wonderful, we couldn't have asked for better!”

“You simply can’t go wrong with Jennifer—she is amazing. From arriving on time for our initial meeting to caring for my precious Sammy, she went above and beyond every expectation. When our plans unexpectedly changed and I forgot to let her know her services would be needed a day earlier, Jennifer caught on immediately. With just a casual text, she recognized the situation, updated the booking on the Rover app, and seamlessly added the extra day. Her attentiveness and initiative truly impressed me. I will definitely be using Jennifer’s services again and again. Thank you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
