“Dariana was the perfect house sitter while we were out of town. She took excellent care of our dogs, giving them all the individual attention they needed as well as the house! I would recommend her to anyone. She is positive, communicative, and very caring!”

“Julie did a great job caring for our dogs! She sent lots of picture updates and was a quick communicator. Julie was able to be at our home with the dogs the majority of each day to keep them company. She gave them new toys and spent a lot of time with them playing outside!”

“Abby is amazing! She took great care of my dogs - one huge and unsocialized, the other elderly. She is caring and responsible. She made me feel very comfortable that all was well while I was away. She also straightened up and left the light on for me the night of my return. I definitely recommend Abby and will hire her again!”
“Terry was absolutely wonderful and provided really thorough updates throughout our trip! She was on time and asked some really great questions during the meet and greet to make sure our boys were taken extra good care of, would highly recommend booking Terry!”

“We couldn’t recommend Debbie enough!!!! She was (miraculously) available fairly last minute for our trip and from the word go, she was top notch! Our home and puppy Philomena were so well cared for while we were away. Debbie sent us plenty (but not too many) of snapshots and occasional videos of Phil living her best life while we were away. Thank you Debbie for being Phil’s new friend and we can’t wait to have you back again!. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, ‘no notes’ as the saying goes. 🥰.”

“Jen was amazing!! I think our Stats is depressed that she is gone lol. I would love to have Jen back the next time we go out of town. She sent pictures and videos which were so much fun to see!! I soooo appreciate her!!!”

About: I’ve been handling pets for many many years, have a lot of love to give, knowledge to share, and care to give to your pet, if you need someone reliable to handle your pet while your vacation, or away from home I’m your guy! I work full time, but in the weekends and I am on the weekends at any time and on weekdays I can be available after 7pm-8:30pm I have one small dog, and care for him day in and day out, making sure he always has toys, is entertained, and has a healthy feeding/bathroom schedule. Can provide the same loving care for You pet as well!
“Amber was very responsive with us & very patient with Smudge. It took a few days for Smudge to warm up, but Amber finally got her out for walks. Amber is trustworthy & I would highly recommend her.”

“I have used Laci for both drop in and overnight services. She met with us for a meet and greet before the sitting dates. My Lola took up to her right away. Laci provided updates and picture and followed directions left for her the day of the sittings. I would seek out her service again for sure!”

“I LOVE TORYN! And more importantly, my doggy did! She treated my dog and my home like it was her own. I received so many updates and photos and never worried once while I was out of town. Toryn went above and beyond! I will be using her again. She’s the absolute greatest.”

“John took care of our babies while we were gone for a trip! This was the longest we’ve been away from them and our nerves were all over. He eased our anxiety by providing pics multiple times a day and giving us updates on them. We can’t recommend him enough!”

“Eli was punctual, his communication is excellent! He watched over my dog like I would have and put my mind at ease. He sent pictures and was overall an A+++ sitter! Highly recommend!”

About: I've owned and cared for pets since I was in middle school. I own a lovable and silly orange tabby cat who lives with me and my wife in our apartment. I currently help my parents take care of their 2 labradors; one chocolate and one yellow, while they are at work during the week. I'd like to offer the same service and love to your furry friends. I am generally available every day of the week, except on a Sunday. If needed badly, I can do Sundays, but only 1pm or after. I make it a point to follow instructions very carefully in order that your pet gets everything they need and deserve. (medications, walks, vet visits[if necessary], etc.)

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have developed a genuine understanding of their needs, personalities, and routines. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to providing every dog with safe, caring, and enjoyable walks. I am currently not working while focusing on my back care, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of open availability for pet sitting. I care for pets like they’re my own, following their routines, providing food and fresh water, giving plenty of attention, and keeping them comfortable.
“Teresa did a wonderful job of taking care of our dog for 11 days. I usually send my dog to a kennel, but she has picked up too many diseases from the kennel and was recovering from kennel cough. I was hesitant to use someone I barley knew. But, I’m so glad I hired Teresa! She took our dog on daily walks and sent the cutest pictures! She even went the extra mile cleaning her sheets. Our dog was happy and healthy when we got home. I’ll definitely use her again in the future and I would highly recommend her.”

“Rebecca was great, and we hope to have her back! She was easy to communicate with. She has good techniques to settle the dogs down and they seemed to enjoy her. The house was very neat when we returned.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Maineville
Julie did a great job taking care of our 3 dogs, home and flowers. While we were away she sent photos and updates on how they were doing. She made sure they had a lot of activity with walks and ball playing. When we returned the dogs howled and whined when she left! They didn’t want her to go! The house was vacuumed and clean. She is your dream sitter. I will definitely hire her again! Thanks, Julie!
Zoey is hands down the best dog sitter we’ve had! She kept in contact with us throughout our week long trip, sending updates and pics. She even did a birthday photoshoot for our husky. There was a significant storm while we were away and she reached out to see if there was anything she needed to take care of in the yard to prepare. Our golden retriever is also afraid of thunder and she gave him extra cuddles throughout the week. We will definitely book again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Maineville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Maineville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maineville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maineville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
