About: Whether it’s high-energy playtime or quiet companionship, I adapt to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also prioritize communication, keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so they feel at ease while away. My focus is always safety, routine, and love—because I know pets aren’t just animals, they’re family. I am a teacher currently on summer vacation. I would love to fill my time with lots of loving pets and fun adventures. Fun paws. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets— I also tailor walks to your pet’s age and energy—puppies get structure and play, seniors get gentle movement and fresh air. No matter what, I’m always focused on their well-being, safety, and happiness—and I keep you in the loop with updates and cute photos along the way.
“Rikiya did an excellent job taking care of my dog Max while I was away. He made sure Max was happy, safe, and well looked after, and spent time playing with him. Beyond the pictures he sent, Rikiya also shared a short video of Max, which I really appreciated. It gave me so much peace of mind to see how happy and comfortable Max was. I’m very grateful for his help and would definitely recommend Rikiya to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. I would happily have him take care of Max again!”

About: I’ve been a pet-sitter since I was 12 years old, and love caring extensively for any kind of animal! I would love to take care of yours and have a great time! Im a freshman at SJSU studying molecular biology to pursue veterinary science and follow my path to become a veterinarian. I am also a full time kennel technician, and love my job just as much as I adore all pets. Animals of all shapes and sizes have been my passion since childhood, and I’m excited to grow my experience and connect with your beloved pets! I work full time but I’m more than lucky to be able to adjust my work schedule to fit most requests I receive on Rover! I am able to make work whatever space you may have in your home, indoor or outdoor, to accommodate your pets energy and play level!
“Merryn was a joy to work with. My senior cat recently was diagnosed with diabetes and she was able to give him his insulin shots with no issues. I have another cat that doesn't like to come out for strangers but came out to play with Merryn. I also love getting the daily photos!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I currently have two dogs and three birds of my own, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets—they’re family! If you need boarding care, my home has a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to play, relax, and feel at ease. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or prefers a calm, cozy setting, I make sure they feel safe comfortable and loved and that they feel right at home. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. I’m patient, attentive, and always focused on making sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and safe. On walks, I make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, stimulation, and attention. During sitting or boarding, I stick closely to your pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), and favorite activities. I’m also available on weekends and holidays, making it easy to count on reliable care when you need it most. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always feel connected while you’re away. I am a former tech worker in Silicon Valley looking to take my passion for animals full time and care for your incredible pets :) I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and trusting environment wherever I care for pets. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m attentive on walks, always using secure leashing and staying aware of surroundings, and in the home I make sure pets are supervised, safe, and stress-free.
“Sandi D provided wonderful care for our 4 dogs and our kitty over the long holiday weekend. Sandi was very responsive, provided detailed updates and photos. Our pups range in age from 2 to 15, and Sandi did a great job with all of them.”
About: I’m basically the kind of person who will stop mid-conversation to say hi to a dog 😄 I genuinely love spending time with animals, and dogs tend to warm up to me pretty quickly—whether they’re playful, shy, or a little bit dramatic. What sets me apart is the energy I bring. I don’t just “watch” dogs—I hang out with them, play with them, and make sure they’re having a good time while you’re away. Whether it’s a long walk, a game of fetch, or just being a cozy couch buddy, I adapt to your dog’s personality and routine. I’m also super detail-oriented, so I’ll follow your instructions closely (meals, meds, quirks—you name it). And you’ll definitely get lots of updates and cute photos, because I know being away from your pet can be hard. I’m great with both high-energy pups who want to play all day and older dogs who just want a calm, gentle presence. Either way, your dog will be safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled 😊 I work from home, so I’m around pretty much all day to give your pet consistent attention and care. They won’t be left alone for long stretches, and I can easily stick to their routine—whether that’s regular walks, playtime breaks, or just being there for company. Having that flexibility means I can give pets lots of supervision, cuddles, and quick responses to their needs throughout the day. It’s perfect for dogs who need extra attention, are a little anxious, or just love having someone around. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to understand each pet’s routine so they feel relaxed and at home. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space with a fully fenced backyard, daily secured leashed walks, and occasional park visits for extra fun and exercise. Since I work from home, they get constant supervision, attention, and plenty of cuddles. I’m always mindful about safety and provide regular updates so you can feel at ease.
About: I have taken care of small dogs and big dogs. I have owned 2 German Shepherd dogs and a Pug over the last 15 years. I have been a sitter and a walker for family and friends. Our pug lived to 16 years old and was blind and deaf. I make my 2 year old German Shepherds food for her because of diet restrictions. I will treat your dog like my own. I will show them love, and attention they deserve. If your dog needs a walk to get that energy out, I would love to be the one to take your dog to play. I am retired, so my schedule is open. All I ask is for a day or so advance on scheduling. I love walking my dog and getting her energy out. If you have a high energy dog that needs walks, or any dog that enjoys the outdoors, I would love to be your choice. I will come to your home to walk your dog, feed them, let them have a potty break, or just to visit. Whatever your needs are, I will do my best to fulfill those needs
“Nicki was so amazing with our fur babies. She went above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend Nicki. She easily and smoothly handled all of the needs with our fur babies.”

“Courtney saved my bacon when I mis-booked my days with her. She got to Eaton ASAP and made sure he was fed and got his medication. She's a lifesaver and Eaton loves to go on walks with her.”

About: I grew up on a small farm, so caring for animals has become second nature for me! I’m comfortable with everything from goofy puppies to slow-and-steady seniors, and I adjust my pace and play style to match each pet’s needs. I’m experienced with basic puppy manners (crate time, consistent potty breaks, and gentle leash practice) and have a soft spot for senior dogs and cats who need extra patience, meds on schedule, and cozy, low-stress routines. I currently am in nursing school, but still maintain a flexible schedule Monday-Wednesday I’m free after 3. Thursday- Sunday I have pretty much all day free for your fur baby’s needs! I currently offer, home visits, and 30–60 minute walks. I share my home with an 80 lb black Lab and have lots of experience with high-drive, energetic breeds like Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and German Shorthaired Pointers. I also love working with cats and have a few of my own, so feline friends are always welcome!
“I felt vey confident leaving my cat in Jessica's care. She asked very good questions, took notes, and generally seemed very responsible and interested in making sure my cat was happy and comfortable while we were gone. I appreciated the notes and photos of my cat provided by Jessica while we were gone, and it was nice that everything was tidy and and in order when we returned. I would book Jessica again without hesitation!”

Madrone pet parents share their Rover experiences
Susan did a great job taking care of our two cats while we were away. We were especially grateful to find her on short notice after our previous cat sitter was no longer available just a week before our trip. Susan responded quickly through Rover, came by our house to meet us and the cats, and was happy to take care of our furry family members. While we were away, Susan kept us updated on how everything was going, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. She was also kind enough to bring in our mail for us. We really appreciated her help and would absolutely hire Susan again the next time we go away!
Rikiya took excellent care of our two pugs while we were traveling! He made sure all of their needs were met and even administered medicated eye drops and nose wipes to keep them healthy! We especially appreciate the care and affection he showed towards them. I would highly recommend Rikiya for your future Rover needs and I look forward to working with him again!

I was gone for a week, first time I was away that long! But I could see from the photos that my cats really liked her. She gives them so much love and attention. Everyone happy, well fed, well loved and clean/well cared for. I will definitely re-book. Thank you, Billie!

Wow. She is so amazing. The cat whisperer. I was so happy to see a video of both my kitties even the one who usually doesn’t make an appearance when a stranger is at the door. The videos she sent were good for my heart. It’s so nice to have someone to trust them with when we are gone.
Max is so lucky to have found Maggie as his dog sitter. Maggie is incredibly responsible and flexible. She always keeps me updated on how Max is doing and even takes him on different walking routes every day, which I really appreciate. Because of my own oversight, I accidentally booked one less day than needed. I didn’t even realize it until Maggie reached out to confirm whether I was already home to take care of Max. Thankfully, she contacted me—otherwise, I wouldn’t have noticed my mistake. As soon as she found out, she immediately rushed over to care for Max. I was truly touched by her thoughtfulness. If your dog ever needs a sitter, I highly recommend Maggie—she’s attentive, caring, and will take wonderful care of your pup.
