“Caitlin is super nice, and even washed her linens, even mine, and didn’t ask her to. My dog looked very happy and relaxed, and took a nap. I was very happy with her care! She sent photos also, which helped me feel better as well. She’s awesome!”

“We had Ron stay at our house and care for our dog, Ruby. Ruby was well taken care of, and the house was immaculate upon our return. I would definitely recommend Ron for caring for your animals.”

“This is the second time Camille helped us out and she was great again. I love how well she communicates with us while we’re gone and I trust that my animals are receiving the best care.”

“Bridgette was absolutely amazing in all areas! In the pictures she sent, our Buda looked content and she went above and beyond in making our house welcoming to return to. Will absolutely have her back!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that caring for animals has always been a normal part of my life. I grew up around animals and have experience caring for dogs of many ages and personalities, including energetic puppies and older dogs who need a slower pace and extra attention. I'm comfortable with the routines that come with good pet care: consistent feeding schedules, exercise, basic training reinforcement, and paying attention to changes in behavior that might mean a dog needs something. I have experience helping with puppy training basics life patience during walks, reinforcing commands, and keeping them mentally stimulated. I also understand that senior dogs sometimes need gentler exercise, more frequent bathroom breaks, and extra patience. In addition to dogs, I have experience working with animals in a farm environment, which taught me responsibility, consistency, and how important it is to pay attention to an animal's needs and body language. Because of that background, I'm calm, reliable, and comfortable around animals with different temperaments. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they're my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your animal with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily life. I grew up around animals and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a slower pace and extra attention. I enjoy spending time outdoors walking dogs, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. As a college student, I plan my schedule carefully, which allows me to stay organized and consistent with feeding times, walks, and check-ins. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, and spending time with them is something I look forward to throughout the week. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. I make sure pets are always supervised, comfortable, and kept in a calm environment where they feel secure. In a client's home, I carefully follow the pet's normal routine for feeding, walks, medications, and playtime so they experience as little disruption as possible. I also pay close attention to behavior and body language to make sure pets are feeling safe and happy. I respect my clients' homes and keep spaces clean, secure doors and gates, and communicate regularly with updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.
“This is our second time using Veronica, and she has been great. She took care of our dogs, cat, plants, and other things we requested. She sends daily update photos and loves our on pets while we're gone.”

“Samara was the perfect fit for my dog who has separation anxiety. Her calm, confident demeanor kept Buster relaxed and happy for the entire time we we gone. Samara was very flexible and asked great questions. I will not hesitate for a second to book her again!”

“Finding someone we can trust with our girls has always been the biggest reason we don’t travel much. But after working with Morgan, we’ve finally found that person! She was absolutely amazing with our Abby and Penny, treating them with so much love and care. We got daily updates and photos, which totally put us at ease. It felt like we were still connected to them even while we were away! When our flight got delayed, Morgan went above and beyond and stayed late to make sure the girls were fed and walked, which was a huge relief. If you’re looking for someone reliable, kind, and who genuinely loves and will treat your fur babies as if they were her own, Morgan is your girl. We couldn’t be more grateful!”

About: I’ve been helping care for pets my whole life! For family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve helped to care for anxious pets, reactive pets, and senior pets. I’m available for overnights on the weekends, walks throughout the week, and any pet care in the summer! I teach during the school year :) I treat pets like family! My two dogs are spoiled & well loved. I would treat your pets the same & would be happy to chat about what your pet care expectations look like :)
“Donna has been 5he perfect sitter. We gave used her twice now and she will be our go to from here on out. My dog loves her and the place looks better than it did when I left. She iscaring and very responsive. You can't go wrong!”

“Aeries did really good watching over my dog and 2 cats. I will definitely be bringing her back next time I leave. She was very attentive and gave me updates (pictures) daily. 💚 Really great service!”

“Serenity was truly exceptional with our senior girl, and we are so grateful for the level of care she provided. From the moment we left, she made sure we felt at ease. We never leave our dogs, and this was so hard to do but she sent regular updates with photos and videos so we could see how comfortable and happy our girl was. These updates meant a lot to us considering our girl is older and needs a little extra attention. Beyond caring for our dog, Serenity grabbed our mail and kept our home incredibly clean. Walking back into a spotless house after traveling was a gift and it speaks volumes about her respect for our space and her professionalism. It was very clear Serenity loves pet sitting! She was patient, gentle, attentive, and treated our little girl like family. We felt completely comfortable leaving our girl in her hands and we'd book again without hesitation. Anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and truly outstanding sitter would be lucky to have her. Thank you, Serenity! We truly appreciate you!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and can't imagine life without them! Most of mine were rescues but I have a heart for all (also including cats, horses, donkeys, chickens). My 14-year-old hound mix Charlie crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few years and while he took a little bit of my heart with him, I really miss being with and caring for animals again. I have filled this need with pet sitting and volunteering at equine rescues and equine-assisted therapy non profits. If you want your big and little ones treated and loved just as you would do, I’m here. I’m a baby-on-the-sofa, next-to-me-in-bed kind of pet carer — and I’m happy to follow your rules if that means floors and crates (there’s still plenty of opportunity for love and affection). We will walk, play, snuggle and be as active as your pet needs. We can do car rides and doggy parks, visit friends, have play dates, go for puppucinos. I’m flexible, open, and want only for your pets to be as happy with me as they are when you’re home. I’m what I always looked for in my extensive use of pet sitters: dependable, committed, at home most of the time, and a true animal lover. I’m happy to administer meds as needed, have cared for my own senior dogs with limitations (deaf, dementia, physical limitations, hospice). I will not only care for your fur family as I would my own (which means a whole lotta of love, interaction, play, and attention), but I will care for your home in the same manner. I’m all grown up, mature, responsible, and reliable and have been a homeowner for years. Your home will be clean and maintained, ready for your return, and your pets will be cared for and happy to see you. I have been fortunate to have had at-home pet sitters who were superb. That’s what I wish to offer to someone else and their fur babies. Peace of mind, certainty that all is well, and confidence that their pets are safe, sound, and happy. I am retired from Emory University, so I am readily available. What Susan would like to know about your pet? Please let me know feeding habits, amounts, times. Normal bed/wake-up times. In and out times. Walking preferences, favorite toys, favorite activities. If there’s anything that scares or worries your pet, tell me. Medical history, let me know. Additional Skills Oral Medication Administration Special Needs Dog Experience Senior Dog Experience Cat care-also chickens and birds Can provide daily exercise. I am soon to be retired, work at home part-time and am finally fulfilling my passions-pet sitting, equine rescue volunteering and just bumming around. What could be better-dogs, horses and retirement? Your pet’s usual day is my day. Sleep late or not. Go for multiple brisk or leisurely (sniffing time!) walks. Lounge around at home or go for rides or to the doggy park. I’m flexible, open, and want only to make your little ones as happy as they can be without you.
About: Lover of pets! I’d love to meet your furry (or not so furry) friend. I’m very active, so long walks & even hikes are totally alright by me! I’m here to help you and your pet thrive. Whether that’s walking, playing, feeding, companionship, bathing , etc. I have been caring for pets since I was a youth. Whether that was neighborhood pets, friends pets or family pet. I have experience with a wide range of ages & sizes. I used to live out on a farm for several years and care for kittens, chickens, goats, pigs, and dogs. I helped take care of newborn kittens, feed and foster trust with them. Regularly cleaning the chicken coop, feeding them, collecting eggs and just hanging out with them. I would feed, brush and hang out with the goats also clean out pen. I raised a pig for 4H feeding, caring, and spending lots of quality time with him. And then of course dogs, I spent a good amount of years caring for two labs. Running them, washing them, cleaning up their dog house, feeding them. Snuggles and cuddles of course. I have notoriously always had an orange cat in my life; however living on the farm had about 6-7 cats I cared for. Them being farm cats mostly wanting to be fed and hung out with me in the grass or came by for pets. Neighborhood cats would get pregnant leading me to foster relationships with their kittens, a lot of times rescuing them, cleaning them up and bringing them back to wellness then re-homing them. Overall, I’d love to play & care for your pet as you see fit! Ideally I’d prefer a meet & greet prior to care. I have a very open and flexible schedule; morning's, afternoons and most evenings I should be around. My work schedule is currently evenings Sunday through Tuesday. I make sure pets are fed on time always have water and are let out whenever needed. I also make sure cat’s litter boxes are well maintained.
“Colton house sat and took care of our 2 dogs for 5 days while we were out of state. It was a very last minute booking and he was very flexible and prompt. I was very impressed with how willing he was to make things work and easier for us. He not only showed up on time for our meet and greet but was actually early! We had a change in our departure plans from the night before at 6p.m to instead the morning of at 5 a.m and he without any hesitation was ok with that and was here at the agreed time of 4a.m. We have 1 senior dog that needs medicine nightly and has major anxiety and our other dog who has IBD and allergic to so many things and also has a very strict diet. Even a crumb on the floor would set her into a major flare up if she got it so that was a concern for us. He was definitely very careful because she never once got sick. He clearly eased their anxiety with us being gone because there was no damage done by them in the house. He followed all the instructions/restrictions for them and did a fantastic job. Any questions he had he reached out to us which was great because there were a couple little things that I forgot to mention (like no dogs on the furniture) and he asked us first rather than just assuming. Not only did he take care of our house and dogs he even fed and gave water to the outside cat that has chosen to adopted us. Taking care of a cat wasn't in the booking but he did it anyway out of the goodness of his heart. He was very transparent with us, respectful and the communication was great. I was not exactly looking forward to having to clean the house after getting home from our trip and having 2 dogs that shed like no other. However I didn't have to because the house was COMPLETELY spotless! I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciated that on top of everything else! Colton is so awesome and next time we go on a trip without the dogs he will be the first person we reach out to!”

“Holly was wonderful - communicative, caring and reliable. She gave great updates and I returned home to a happy puppy and a clean house. Very much appreciate being able to trust Holly with my dog and my home.”

I am so glad that we found Maryann to watch our Daisy. Daisy was able to stick to her regular routine while we were off on a river adventure. Maryann was a great communicator- which I really appreciate. We will hire Maryann again as they got along great- which equates to Peace of Mind!
Samantha was a terrific dogsitter; she was professional, caring, responsible and dependable. I hope to enlist her services in the future. When we came home, our two small dogs were happy to see us, but it was obvious that they had been well cared for. Our dogs were healthy, and their demeanor was upbeat. We hope to enlist Samantha for future dog sitting gigs. I recommend her full heartedly.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Madrona Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Madrona Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Madrona Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
