About: I've had pets or lived in homes with pets for most of my life, starting when I was a teenager, so caring for and sharing space with animals has always been a natural part of my everyday life. Over the years, I've become comfortable with the different personalities, routines, and needs that come with sharing a home with animals. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know their individual habits and temperament rather than treating every animal the same. I'm attentive to the little things that help pets feel comfortable and secure—keeping to their normal routines, giving them plenty of affection and attention, and making sure they have the care and companionship they need while their people are away. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are doing well. Above all, I treat caring for someone's pet as a responsibility I take seriously. My goal is for your and your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you're away. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I can be available when your pets need me. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day, and for house sitting I'm able to spend much of the day at your home with your pets rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Whether your dog needs a good walk, your cat needs some company and a little playtime, or your pets simply need someone around while you're away, I'm happy to work their normal routines into my day. I'll take the time to understand what each pet is used to and make sure they get the care, exercise, attention, and companionship they need. Whether I'm caring for your pets in your home or taking them out for a walk, safety comes first. I take the time to understand each pet's personality, routine, and boundaries, and I'll follow your instructions carefully. When house sitting, I treat your home with the same respect and care I'd want from someone staying in mine. I'll make sure doors and gates are secure, keep things clean and tidy and in their place, and pay attention to anything that seems unusual or out of the ordinary. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages throughout the booking, because I know how reassuring it is to see that your pets are happy and doing well. If I notice anything concerning, I'll let you know promptly rather than assuming it's nothing. My goal is for you to feel comfortable knowing that your pets—and your home—are in good hands while you're away.
“Caitlin was awesome with our geriatric dog who takes tons of meds and has a zillion quirky needs. She did an extended stay and handled everything beautifully. I highly recommend!”

I’m a stay at home mom and have plenty of time to care for dogs. I will be able to take them out as much as needed. “We like Matthew and were very pleased with the care he provided for our 2 dogs and our home while we were traveling out of the country for 3 weeks. Our dogs love him and he was always very understanding of their unique personalities, behaviors & preferences. He provided updates with photos throughout our time away and was very responsive to our messages as we checked in on our dogs, despite the 8 hour time difference between Washington State and the United Kingdom. We would gladly trust him with our dogs & our home again in the future!”

“Olivia is wonderful with our pets and takes great care of the house as well! She sends photos of all the fun she is having with our pups and they always look so incredibly happy! I’m so glad we found her!”

About: Lover of pets! I’d love to meet your furry (or not so furry) friend. I’m very active, so long walks & even hikes are totally alright by me! I’m here to help you and your pet thrive. Whether that’s walking, playing, feeding, companionship, bathing , etc. I have been caring for pets since I was a youth. Whether that was neighborhood pets, friends pets or family pet. I have experience with a wide range of ages & sizes. I used to live out on a farm for several years and care for kittens, chickens, goats, pigs, and dogs. I helped take care of newborn kittens, feed and foster trust with them. Regularly cleaning the chicken coop, feeding them, collecting eggs and just hanging out with them. I would feed, brush and hang out with the goats also clean out pen. I raised a pig for 4H feeding, caring, and spending lots of quality time with him. And then of course dogs, I spent a good amount of years caring for two labs. Running them, washing them, cleaning up their dog house, feeding them. Snuggles and cuddles of course. I have notoriously always had an orange cat in my life; however living on the farm had about 6-7 cats I cared for. Them being farm cats mostly wanting to be fed and hung out with me in the grass or came by for pets. Neighborhood cats would get pregnant leading me to foster relationships with their kittens, a lot of times rescuing them, cleaning them up and bringing them back to wellness then re-homing them. Overall, I’d love to play & care for your pet as you see fit! Ideally I’d prefer a meet & greet prior to care. I have a very open and flexible schedule; morning's, afternoons and most evenings I should be around. My work schedule is currently evenings Sunday through Tuesday. I make sure pets are fed on time always have water and are let out whenever needed. I also make sure cat’s litter boxes are well maintained.
“Stefani was outstanding! I couldn't ask for a better experience. She took superb care of my dogs (3) and my home. I had a fabulous vacation knowing Stefani was at home with my dogs. We received photos and communication from Stefani every day. She answered any messages we sent immediately. The dogs got lots of love and attention. I trusted Stefani with our home and 3 great friends. Great decision! She is FANTASTIC!”

I pride myself on being a punctual and consistent person. My flexible schedule allows me to give pets the time and attention they need, whether its daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. My goal is to create a calm, loving presence so your pets feel secure and cared for while you’re away. With attention to detail and genuine affection for animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique routine and personality.

About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I've always felt I've been able to understand animals better than most people. I think it stems from my ability to innately understand their non-verbal communication. Hence, the Dolittle reference. A typical day in my home is calm, comfortable, and centered around the pet’s normal routine. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, a clean space, plenty of attention, and time to play or relax depending on their personality. I’m happy to follow any specific routines you have at home so your pet feels as comfortable and familiar as possible. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level, giving them plenty of affection when they want it and space when they need it.

“Bonnie took excellent care of my cat Fish! It's clear she has lots of love and patience for cats. She was able to get Fish to warm up to her after a couples days and even got some snuggles towards the end of the sit, which says of a lot since Fish is pretty shy with new people. I came home to a very happy kitty and clean home. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out again the next time I need pet care.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Penn Cove Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Penn Cove Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Penn Cove Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
