About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and lots of love. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, walks, medication, or extra attention, I’m happy to provide the care they deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet in my care like one of my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I can accommodate feeding schedules, playtime, medication routines, and regular check-ins. I understand that consistency is important for cats, and I strive to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure food, water, litter boxes, and any medications are taken care of, and I provide playtime, affection, and updates so owners know their pets are happy and safe while they’re away.

Mandy was absolutely perfect! Cleo loved her, which was such a relief since Cleo can be particular about new people. Having Mandy there took a huge weight off my shoulders while I was away, and I loved receiving daily photos and updates of Cleo. It was so reassuring to know she was happy and well cared for. On top of that, I came home after a grueling travel day to a freshly cleaned home, which was the best welcome home I could have asked for. I would absolutely book with Mandy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.

Nikki did a great job! My fur kids were calm and happy when I got home. The pictures she sent showed how comfortable they were with her. She also watered some of my plants and took good care of my home.

Bridgette far surpassed my expectations for house & pet sitting. I'm real fussy about this sort of thing and I will tell you that she is the best we've experienced. Prompt, communicative, caring, and meticulous - Bridgette is not only a professional at home & pet sitting but also, just a fine person. Snatch her up to care for your home & pets if she's available. She's so good that we'll work around her availability for subsequent requirements if able. Thanks Bridgette.

She went not an extra mile but extra miles to provide a great experience. Thank you for being awesome to Red Cloud and to us Rachel!

About: I’ve always dabbled in pet sitting for the fun of traveling and meeting new breeds. Now that I’m semi - retired, I've discovered a new joy in providing care without the pressure of outside responsibilities. Having nowhere else to be means I can spend hours with your pets, letting them set the pace on our walks, and offering endless cuddles, allowing me to form trusted connections with every animal I watch. It is not that pet care fits into my life as much as pet care IS my life. It is breakfast, walk or read (depending on the species), groom, pet, games, naps, then dinner and repeat until bedtime. In follow the outline provided by the pet parent to work through the pet’s familiar daily routine. For dogs, I emphasize exercise and with cats, I emphasize stillness. For both, we find a compromise 😂

Rachel went above and beyond to take great care of our pup! She was very interested in all our dog’s quirks and triggers and she took them very seriously which led to our pup feeling really safe with her immediately. She even picked up extra supplies when we ran out of them accidentally, and she sent lots of pics and videos so I never had to wonder how things were going. Will definitely recommend + book her again soon!

About: My mother has always been the friend that would take care of everyone's dog or cat ever since I was little. So, I have been surrounded by animals my whole life and learned how to take care of many different breeds, ages and personalities. Once I got my license, my friend's and family friend's entrusted me with taking care of their dogs at their home and had many experiences of house sitting with them. Before joining Rover, I was an employee through the Fetch! dog walking and pet care agency over the summer of 2025. I had my own clientele for which I would walk their dogs' multiple times a week. I also provided extended stays for house sitting in which I frequently took care of multiple dogs at once. I have owned cats my whole life, but dogs have always been a constant in my life as well through these dog sitting experiences and briefly fostering a chihuahua who eventually went to a family friend. I would be so delighted to take care of your dog or cat! Whether that be for walks, check-ins or house sitting, I have a flexible schedule and would love to spend my time with your pets. Their happiness and safety will always come first! I am currently a student at WSU, but I have a flexible schedule to take care of your furbabies. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. I promise to always keep a close eye on your animals and monitor them on their behavior, and eating or drinking patterns to make sure nothing is out of the normal for your furbaby. I will always set a side a, if not multiple, chunks of time to ensure they are enriched with playtime. Please also let me know your pet's quirks, triggers, and/or medications that they might have or need, so I can be well equipped while they are in my care.

About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including raising three of my own from puppyhood. I'm comfortable with training needs, exercising pets, administering medication, and the special needs of puppies and seniors. I have extremely high standards for the people I choose to care for my pets, and I hold myself to those standards when caring for others. Leaving your pets doesn't have to be worrisome or stressful when you know they are receiving quality care under a watchful eye. I provide safety and affection for all animals and would be honored to help care for your pets when you have to be away. I am currently going back to school as an online student and have an extremely flexible schedule. I'm available for drop ins, walks, and boarding in my home seven days a week. Drop ins and walks can occur between 6AM- 8PM. When I do drops in and walks at your home, your pet is with me and under my watch the entire time. I am happy to follow any rules you provide. For boarding in my home, I have a fully fenced back yard with a designated dog potty area. Even though the yard is fenced, I supervise all outside breaks to ensure your pet's safety and security. I do have two dogs of my own, both females, and currently only board female dogs. One of my dogs is a 15lb rat terrier mix, and the other is a 70lb lab mix. Both are well socialized with animals and people, and are accustomed to other dogs being in our home. I constantly monitor dog energy levels and body language to ensure breaks are taken when needed and that your pets don't experience overstimulation.

Caitlin is so sweet and I felt so safe leaving our fur babies with her. We have a big Rhodesian Ridgeback with a good bit of separation anxiety and he told me they had a great time :) he is a lot of dog! We also have a kitty who demands many snuggles. Caitlin did great with them both. I’ll be booking again in the near future. Thank you Caitlin!

FAQs for House Sitting - Coupeville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Coupeville on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 792 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Coupeville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coupeville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coupeville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coupeville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coupeville. On Rover:

  • 99% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
