“Brittany was wonderful with my dog! From the moment I dropped her off, I felt confident she was in great hands. Brittany kept in touch with updates and photos, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious she received lots of love and attention during her stay. Brittany was kind, reliable, and treated my dog like family. I’d happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“This was my first time using Rover to board my dog, and Stacy made the process a breeze. He is very flexible and responds quickly to messages. He also took professional photos of my and my parents' dogs and shared them throughout their stay with him, which was such a nice touch! I would definitely book with Stacy again if I ever need boarding services in the future.”

“Iryna was incredibly sweet and nurturing to our cats, Ziggy & Roux! Her communication with me throughout their stay with her was impeccable. We hope to work with Iryna again!”

“Mary was amazing!! She was so easy to contact and she sent pictures and updates about my dog Max that stayed with her. He seemed to have a great time and he got along with her dog as well. Will definitely contact her again! 😊”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our dog, Micah. Bobbi kept us updated with pictures and assured us that he was settling in okay after we left. She was really communicative and drop off and pick up was smooth. We live in the city with not a lot of room in our backyard so our dog got lots of playtime in their big backyard! Would definitely book again :)”

“My girls were happy and immediately comfortable with Elena! She sent photos and updates, and when I ran into unexpected car trouble she was able to drop them off to me last minute. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Rachel and Michael were wonderful! They took care of Missy over the holidays and clearly gave her a lot of love! They send sweet pictures and or videos daily. They were extremely responsive and reliable. They set up Missy for success by scheduling a meet and greet for our pups before the boarding period. They were also super flexible. My flight back to the city was canceled and I last minute needed an extra day of care for Missy and they accommodated this last minute change which was very kind. Overall, I felt relaxed and reassured in my travels knowing Missy was being cared for by Rachel and Michael!”

“Kane had an awesome time!!! Damaris and Jose are so friendly and welcomed us into their home with open arms. We had no doubt that they would shower Kane with love! They also have their own Coco. They sent us photos and videos and took Kane to the park. I would definitely use their services again! Thank you!”

“I had Karen watch my dog while I was on a business trip. It was an amazing experience! I brought Knox over to her house for a meet and greet, and then dropped him off a few days later. I got plenty of updates while I was gone, and she was very helpful and understanding when I needed to extend the dates. Knox seemed very comfortable and Karen and her husband make your baby feel right at home. Will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: I’ve had my family dog, Princess, a Pomeranian-Papillon mix, since I was four years old. I was the one who named her, and she’s been my best friend ever since. I’ve cared for her through every stage of her life, from a playful puppy to now as a senior dog, so I understand that pets have different needs as they get older. Senior pets have a special place in my heart, and I’m always happy to give them the extra patience and love they deserve. I’m a college student home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. I usually only take one family’s pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so they’ll get lots of one-on-one care and won’t have to compete for attention. I’ll stick to your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, and I ask that owners provide their pet’s food, medications (if needed), favorite toys, and any other essentials. If I’m caring for a cat, I’ll also need their litter box, litter, and other supplies. Communication is really important to me. I’ll send plenty of pictures and updates, and if you’re missing your pet, I’m even happy to FaceTime so you can check in. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re apart. I’m currently a college student home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they get lots of attention throughout the day. I usually only care for one family’s pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so I can focus on giving them the care and attention they deserve while sticking to their normal routine as closely as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and I share my home with my senior dog, Princess. She’s older, independent, and usually keeps to herself, but I’ll always make thoughtful introductions and make sure everyone is comfortable. I only accept one family’s pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so I can give them my full attention and closely monitor their interactions. I’ll carefully follow your pet’s routine, including feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I’ll keep your home tidy if I’m caring for your pet there, and I’ll always make sure water is fresh, the environment is clean, and your pet feels safe and comfortable. If I ever notice anything unusual, I’ll let you know right away so you can have peace of mind.
“Lisa and Gizzy took great care of our Charlie! He can be a nervous nelly, but they put him at ease quickly as if he was part of the family from day one. Pics and updates were sent regularly. We are so grateful to have found you as Charlie’s home away from home!”

“Kimberly was an absolute pleasure to have look after my pup Brew last minute. He was very well cared for, and she was easy to get a hold of and let me know how everything was doing. 10/10 would use again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Madisonville
Exceptional experience — couldn’t recommend Tanvi more highly Tanvi took absolutely wonderful care of Mabel. From the moment we connected, it was clear how attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring she is. She sent photos and updates unprompted throughout the stay, which gave me total peace of mind and showed just how present she was. Mabel had the best time playing with Tanvi’s golden doodle, Mowgli — the two of them got along beautifully and were clearly having so much fun together. It was obvious Mabel felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. Tanvi treated Mabel like her own, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with her again. If you’re looking for someone who is loving, communicative, and truly attentive, Tanvi is a fantastic choice. Highly, highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
