I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment in my home, free of hazards and closely supervised at all times. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special requirements. About: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born! I have a BSc in Veterinary Technology, have been a US Army Veterinary Technician for 20 years working with Military and Law Enforcement working dogs and have a huge passion for canine enrichment and fitness 🐕❣️ I am a full time student pursuing my Master's in Clinical Care, but don't let that discourage you! I have excellent time management skills, and can very easily balance lifestyle and education. I am also still in the Reserves, meaning one weekend out of each month, I won't be available to hang out with your sweet fur-babies 😭 Otherwise, I am wide available! I do have 5 dogs of my own and a fully fenced yard. However, they are a solid pack and can be a little unpredictable when introducing new friends. Because of this, my main goal is to take your fur-babies on walks and get them some exercise and enrichment, rather than have them over for play time.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

About: I love animals and I love exercise, so here I am combining the two. I’m excited to try something new and also help out within my community by providing a healthy and heartwarming service I work Mon through Fri 7A-330P in construction. Some weeks I will have OT and will have to reschedule/ adjust my schedule here but other than that I’m pretty flexible. I prefer waking up early to being out late- but can and will accommodate. My pets are spoiled rotten. Constant truck rides and walks, and you can always find a ball or toy that belongs to the girls(dogs). And endless twig sticks and cardboard boxes inside with some windows equipped with bird feeders for the boys(cats). The girls have all day everyday access to fenced backyard and climate controlled garage included with the best neighbors and then to the comfy couch at night. The boys indulge in a cool environment while not moving much from one spot of the couch. Extras include opened curtain scenic views along with nature noises from the tv.

About: I have been taking care of various sized animals for the past several years. I am comfortable giving medications if need be and following any special instructions you may have for your four-legged babies! I am currently in college classes full time Monday-Thursday, however after 1pm I am fully available! This is not a hindrance at all when caring for your pets in your home. I prefer to stay in your home if watching your animals for an extended period of time, but if you are not comfortable with that I certainly understand and am happy to visit your house throughout the day as needed to attend to your furry loved ones!

About: My family includes 2 sweet dogs and 2 beautiful cats. I have experience with fostering and training dogs. I am an active person who would love to walk your dog, with mine or without, but I'm also no stranger to just enjoying time with animals! I have a fenced-in back yard and a walkable neighborhood. I am available to walk, play, feed, or administer medicine to your animals. I have experience giving insulin to a family dog twice daily for several years. I take my time to ensure all animals feel safe with me before asking them to walk with me. I work in an office every weekday from 8-5, but am available most evenings and weekends to cater to your family's specific pet care needs. I have a large, fenced-in back yard and walkable neighborhood. I have two dogs at home, one of whom is a 1 year old cockapoo who loves to play.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was a kid. Growing up we had dogs and cats but also reptiles, avians, and aquatics. I've also been working in Veterinary medicine for over 13 years. I work full time and a Veterinary clinic and part time at an Emergency Veterinary clinic. I am normally at home before and after each shift. I can adjust timing to help accommodate your pets needs. I follow all directions given step by step. And communication is key to making sure your pet is comfortable. And special needs pets are no problem!

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and started helping with their care at age 10. Though the last 12 years have truly deepened my experience and love for animal care. Currently, I share my home with four cats and a German Shepherd/Husky puppy! Over the years, I’ve had the honor of caring for pets with special needs, both my own and those of friends and loved ones. My puppy and I have completed two 6-week training courses with Canine Initiative – and yes, we still practice those skills daily (with varying levels of success depending on how many squirrels we’ve seen that day). One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my border collie, Nina, after a serious injury. She needed help walking with a harness, regular cleaning, medications, vet visits, and lots of love. After 2.5 months of dedicated care, she was back on her feet, and we were lucky to share two more wonderful years together. I also cared for her through a late-in-life diabetes diagnosis, which included daily insulin and increased mobility support. I’ve administered medications to dogs including insulin, ear drops, and oral meds, and I’m especially mindful about keeping pets calm and comfortable during care routines. I’m always happy to learn your exact process — whether through an in-person tutorial or a video — to keep your dog’s stress to a minimum. I’m open to caring for dogs with medical or physical needs, with the understanding that for mobility support using a harness, I’m most experienced with dogs 45 lbs. or less. That said, I’m absolutely comfortable walking and caring for dogs over 50 lbs. as long as they are well-mannered on a leash. While I may not be the strongest person physically, I’m confident with larger dogs who don’t pull or lunge too much. If your pup is a gentle giant, we’ll get along just fine on walks! My youngest (age 12) and I work great together playing and giving positive attention to dogs. She has attended most of the dog training classes with me and shown an interest in attending more. If you would prefer myself only, I completely understand! Should your animal need urgent care and I am able to take them to the vet, we are very familiar and close with Morton Animal Hospital and Banfield Pet Hospital. I cannot recommend them enough! If more assistance is needed than the general care/dog walking, I will adjust the rate and will be happy to discuss this with you. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! I am currently off for the summer and will have various appointments and activities to do with my children and animals. I am able to adjust my schedule at this time but will let you know if I have anything scheduled during the days needed. I understand sometimes extra or unexpected trips are needed to check on your pet. At this time, I am off for the summer and am able to provide care throughout the day for my own pets. Depending on your dogs activity level, I would prefer to care for your dog at your home due to my dogs young and energetic puppy self, as well as my four indoor cats. Should it work out with bringing your dog to my home and remaining outside with me, I do live on a busy street in town and do experience unsafe, fast driving cars at times (Idlewood). With that said, our yard is completely fenced in, though our back and front fence is 5 ft. in height. Larger, escape artist dogs may have the ability to hop the fence and if that is a concern, I would rather not risk bringing your dog to my home.

I have several years of experience as a professional pet sitter, as well as having pets of my own. I offer very low rates and I will never charge extra to watch a puppy as I have one of my own and I know how tough it can be to keep your doggo entertained! Worried your pup will be lonely? Don't be! Your dog will never be lonely as I'm home full time with my 6 month old puppy, Archie, who loves to play! Archie is fully vaccinated and wears his rabies tag everywhere we go. Archie is very friendly with other dogs and would love a friend to run with and play tug-of-war but my apartment is large enough to house other pets separate from my puppy if that is your preference. Does your dog need special treatment or medicine administered? I've got you covered! I'm a third year student doctor currently on virtual rotations (studying/working from home) due to coronavirus and I'd love to treat your dog (or other pet) to some treats! I may be in school to treat humans, but I'm comfortable administering medications and I have experience doing so for everything from ferrets to dogs to pigs. I have owned guinea pigs, ferrets, cats, and dogs so I am comfortable caring for a wide range of pets. Does your pet require a lot of exercise? You're in luck. Mine does too! I take my puppy to the community dog park everyday for at least an hour. In addition my apartment is right across from Lake Michigan and a walking trail that my dog and I frequent in the evenings. If your dog needs more exercise I have a dog park inside my apartment complex where I can take your pup to stretch his legs and play as often as you'd like. I have personal and professional dog sitting experience, medical training, tons of space, and will update you as often as you like with pictures and videos of your pup having a blast with Archie and I.
