“MacKenzie & Jacob own 4 cats (no dogs but they sometimes board them) and clearly love animals. My 2 sibling kittens were born feral on my farm and when Mama disappeared, I had to take them in. Did not intend to keep them but these kitties had different plans. I am in the process of training them to spend more time indoors, and interact with other humans and animals. How lucky that I found MacKenzie on Rover. My kitties had their own space (spare bedroom) where I set up their familiar bedding, litter box, food, scratch post, etc. I started with a 24 hour stay and will prob try a few more days before taking a longer trip later this year. MacKenzie sent me regular updates. One kitty was slightly braver, exploring her surrounding. They both allowed MacKenzie and Jacob to pet them (although they admit they were shaking, which is no surprise) and they ate (not much) and used the litter box, but barely left the bedroom. MacKenzie & Jacob put them in their carriers minutes before I arrived (the cats only slightly resisted they said) and brought them downstairs with all of their belongings & helped me load it all up. I am very much looking forward to having my kitties spend more time with these two wonderful cat sitters - even when I don’t need a sitter - bc I want them to get more human and kitty interaction and I believe MacKenzie and Jacob’s home is the ideal environment. They are lovely, kind-hearted sitters who will give my babies the love and patience they need to become less feral and become the 2 house cats I need them to be.”

About: I have been in love with cats and dogs for as long as I can remember! I grew up with 2 cats and 1 dog in my household as well as chickens, a bearded dragon, a turtle, fish, guinea pig, and a rabbit! Currently I have no animals but I still have the same amount of love for them! I have taken care of my friends and families animals and I’m always happy to meet some new animal friends!! 😍 I am currently a musician part time which means my schedule is flexible and I’m happy to visit your animals whenever is best for their schedule! I will happily send you picture and video updates for your animals! I love to play with them using their favorite toys and don’t mind spending some extra time for some snuggle sessions while I’m there :) I am a musician which means work comes and goes and I make my own schedule so I am extremely flexible and happy to visit whenever! We always had an "electric" fence for our dog which would gently vibrate her collar if she got out of the boundary. She was well trained and very attentive. Our cats were indoor cats and we made sure they knew they shouldn't try and get outside or on counters. The chickens and rabbit were fenced in outside in a giant chicken coop and since I was handling animals at a young age I am very familiar with how to gently care for them.
About: I’m Beth, I'm 28 years old and I have about ten years of experience caring for animals in the area. I also have three cats of my own. I've mainly provided care for cats, dogs, and fish. I also have experience caring for rabbits, lizards, birds, and guinea pigs. I am willing to learn to care for just about any pet. I have experience administering medication to cats and dogs as well, including insulin. I work with owners on what their pets needs are and do my very best to make my stay with your animals as close to if their owners were still home with them as I can! I look forward to working with you! i can do check ins before and after work as well as a bed time check in (unless I’m staying overnight) if your pets need an extra check in I can also do a stop on my lunch break. About: I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life. I first started with chickens when I was growing up and now I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, etc. around 4 years ago I first started a job as a kennel assistant where I would do feedings, lets outs, and even one-on-ones for the dogs/cats that were boarding. I’ve worked in daycare during my time as a kennel assistant as well where I had to determine demeanors and personalities of the dogs attending. 2 years ago I went into the medical side of animal care and became a Veterinary Assistant. I’m now in school to become a Veterinary Technician and eventually to become a Vet. I know how to tell when something is wrong with an animal and am able to do the things necessary to help I work full-time currently Monday-Wednesday, and I’m off on Thursdays. Then I work Fridays and am off weekends. On weekdays I have an hour break so I am able to do the let outs I need to during this time. If I am doing at my house care, the first thing I would do is have a meet and greet with my dogs and go from there to make sure they are compatible to stay at my home. If we are doing at my clients house, I would still like to do meet and greets beforehand so I can get to know your animal better. Once that is all done, I would like to know the rules and regulations for feeding times, let out times, and any medical needs that are needed. Dog walking I can only do Thursdays, and weekends but there are a few things I would like to know beforehand. Just the basics on how they do when other dogs are around, what to watch out for, and if there are any rules the dog needs to keep up with.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
