About: Hello! My name is Jacob and I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds for my whole life, and have always loved their company. I will strive to provide the best possible care for your pets and treat them as if they were my own. I’m here for their needs, whether it’s to wear out a young active pup or take a casual stroll around the block letting your senior dog stop as they need to. I’ve always had a lot of flexibility in my schedule and have enjoyed pet sitting as a side job for many years. I’m currently working part time in the early mornings so I have tons of time during the day to help care for your pets. If you need me to stay with your pets I’m usually only gone for a 3.5 hour shift so they won’t be left alone for very long! I will have your pets safety and comfort always in mind and make sure they have what they need to stay happy until you return.

I prefer to be at pet owners house with a fenced in yard.
“Lori B is awesome! Our crew loved her and became more obedient as well, drats. We recommend her without reservation and for us that is unusual. A testament to her skills and our dogs’ judgment of the right person for them.”

“We hired Shayna to walk our dogs while we were out of town for a week and my mom was house sitting. My mom said the dogs would wait for Shayna every day at the door. They have had past walkers they would hide from so that says everything! She was great at sending photos and communicating! Would def hire again!”

I have pet sat for friends and family plenty of times as I am known to be an animal lover and as someone who is trustworthy. I currently have 3 special needs dogs and 2 lizards who my wife and I cherish. While I don't have any sort of vet experience, I do have plenty of real life experience with dogs and cats that I have gathered over my lifetime of having all sorts of pets: CPR, senior care, slow feeding, cautionary actions/reactions, etc. I believe out pets deserve the world and I would love to meet you and your pet(s) and treat them as one of my own. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. For the last 15 years, I’ve owned very high energy hunting dogs, and love being able to take them on long walks, hiking in the mountains, or just play ball in the back yard. I’ll help with any kind of training/socialization a puppy or dog might need, you just have to let me know if there are behaviors you need help working on. I’m happy to drop in to check on dogs and cats of any size. If I can help out by taking a pup for a wash or anything extra like that, just ask. Willing to help transport, can come feed and medicate, as well as hang out and play for a while. I do have my own pups, and so I cannot do overnight stays at this time. Weekdays, I am only available after 6pm! I just moved back to the Grand Junction area and am working at settling into life back in the valley. I’d love to help you out with your animals! My pups are my family, they go every where with me (unless it’s to someone else’s house, of course). They get daily off leash runs in the north desert or at the family farm in Fruita. I’m not offering boarding at this time because of my own pups and lack of space.
About: I have 8 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I became a dog groomer at 16, and since then I’ve worked in both boarding and dog & cat daycare facilities. I’ve cared for large and small dogs, seniors, puppies, and even disabled pets who require extra patience and specialized attention. Caring for animals has always been my passion, and I’m committed to providing safe, loving, and reliable care for every pet I meet. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I own my own business, Harmonizing Beauty, which gives me a flexible and adjustable work routine. This allows me to easily make accommodations for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and boarding, and to work around each owner’s schedule. I’m able to provide reliable, consistent care without rushing, so every pet receives the time, attention, and love they deserve. Because I own my own business, Harmonizing Beauty, my schedule is flexible, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, feedings, boarding, and custom schedules for each pet parent. My home is safe, comfortable, and dog-friendly, with a large fenced-in yard perfect for running, playing, and exploring. I also have friendly, well-socialized, fully vaccinated dogs who love meeting new fur friends and are great companions as long as everyone is compatible. I also offer in-home visits, giving your dog one-on-one attention, playtime, walking, exercise, and whatever they need to feel calm, cared for, and happy in their own environment. Overall, I provide a loving, reliable, and enriched experience—whether your pet is staying with me or I’m coming to you.
“Dawna is wonderful and you should feel complete comfort in leaving you 4 legged fur babies with her. She goes out of her way to make sure the pup has fun while in her care and has lots of love to give. I would recommend her without question!”

About: I am a certified nursing assistant. Due to this I have worked in senior living and have helped patients do everyday activities. I also have my CPR certification. I have two dogs that are my whole world and I would want them to be cared for. I want to help other pets and pet owners because I know life can be difficult. Due to the fact that I have two dogs of my own, I take care of them daily. I feed them and let them outside but also cuddle and play with them when I can. I will care for pets in a client’s home just as I would with my own dogs. I will follow the client’s wishes and preferences.

About: I have been born and raised with animals through my entire life! I have many dogs of my own along with goats, rabbits, chickens, and cats. I have a strong passion for dogs and am currently a teacher for District 51. I have also volunteered at various animal shelters since I was 10 years old and am a very responsible individual who can’t wait to help you and your furry family members! I understand that life can get very busy and your pets will need someone to be there when they need to be let out and played with. This makes everything easier and everyone happier! You will not find another dog sitter/dog walker that will love your pets as much as I will! They deserve to be spoiled:) I am a teacher for District 51 and am flexible with my routine and hours! Summers are the most flexible. During the school year I am available in the evenings. I am currently not accepting dog boarding or doggy day care in my home. I have dog of my own and some that are not able to commingle.
About: I have hands on experience working in both dog boarding, dog daycare where I have cared for all temperaments, breeds, sizes and needs. I love keeping their training up, keeping routines in place, and of course leaving them to no energy to spare! I have a very strong understanding of dog body language, and i’m especially good with anxious dogs as one of my dogs is reactive. I always try to make all dogs feel safe and comfortable. I am experienced with oral medication the most and have limited experience with insulin. I treat every dog like how I would want mine treated. I am a current Colorado Mesa University student recieving my bachelors degree of biology to then move on to vet medical school. Until May 18th,2026 my schedule is open on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays, & sundays. Of course I am open to staying at the doggies house, and am open limited hours other days! I am only servicing in my clients home as my dogs are more people friendly than animal friendly. In my clients home whatever is needed I will do. Crating, watching body language, feeding, playing, running, walking, I am just happy to be around dogs! I understand some dogs don’t want to be touched at all! Those dogs are my favorite because I think of it as a goal, I am always wanting to learn how to be more respectful to dogs and teach them more!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
