About: As a career animal welfare professional, I'm ready to bring my decades of experience in animal care, veterinary care and animal handling to you and your home to ensure you have total peace of mind and your pets are cared for and safe while you're away. My entire professional career has been in the animal welfare field. I've worked as a cruelty investigator in both major metropolitan as well as rural agricultural regions. I've worked on farm animal sanctuaries as well as in city shelters. I'm still very involved in animal rescue through disaster response as well as large scale animal cruelty case deployments. Currently, I work for/co-founded an organization which provides low-cost veterinary care services to underserved areas in the region. As someone who utilizes Rover heavily for pet sitting services while traveling for work, I know just how important it is to have a service like this available as well as what a trusting, reliable sitter can do for peace of mind while out of town and away from you pets. I currently work from home (when not traveling for work) which allows me to devote full days to pet care while sitting nearby in my home office. I have a large, fully fenced yard. Your dogs will be able to spend as much, or as little, time outside as they desire. I have two resident dogs who are very welcoming of all four-legged (and two-legged) visitors and will be more than happy to share all their favorite toys and most comfortable spots on the couch.

About: I've had or have been around pets my entire life. I have had dogs (all sizes) and even a cat in my younger days. I have pet sat for friends and family plenty of times as I am known to be an animal lover and as someone who is trustworthy. I currently have 3 special needs dogs and 2 lizards who my wife and I cherish. While I don't have any sort of vet experience, I do have plenty of real life experience with dogs and cats that I have gathered over my lifetime of having all sorts of pets: CPR, senior care, slow feeding, cautionary actions/reactions, etc. I believe out pets deserve the world and I would love to meet you and your pet(s) and treat them as one of my own. I work in a remote capacity for my families business, therefore I have ultimate flexibility in my schedule. I can be available at just about any time as long as I have a heads up. For the last 15 years, I’ve owned very high energy hunting dogs, and love being able to take them on long walks, hiking in the mountains, or just play ball in the back yard. I’ll help with any kind of training/socialization a puppy or dog might need, you just have to let me know if there are behaviors you need help working on. I’m happy to drop in to check on dogs and cats of any size. If I can help out by taking a pup for a wash or anything extra like that, just ask. Willing to help transport, can come feed and medicate, as well as hang out and play for a while. I do have my own pups, and so I cannot do overnight stays at this time. Weekdays, I am only available after 6pm! I just moved back to the Grand Junction area and am working at settling into life back in the valley. I’d love to help you out with your animals! My pups are my family, they go every where with me (unless it’s to someone else’s house, of course). They get daily off leash runs in the north desert or at the family farm in Fruita. I’m not offering boarding at this time because of my own pups and lack of space.
