About: I’ve had cats and dogs for most of my life and caring for animals is something I truly love. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routines, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I have experience caring for senior pets and those with special needs, including administering medications, supporting mobility challenges, and providing a calm, patient environment. I know how important consistency and gentle care are, especially for pets who need a little extra attention. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they’re happy, healthy, and loved every step of the way. I currently have cats of my own but they are used to other pets in the home, including dogs. Additionally, I offer complimentary meet and greets prior to petting your pet, to see if it’s a good fit. I work from home and my schedule is flexible, so I’m able to interact with and love on your fur baby all day. I can also pick up and drop off your little one if need be. I do have a few cats of my own, so if you have a kitty needing care, it may be best for me to care for them in their own environment. My cats are used to other pets though, including dogs, so they are more than welcome in my home. I also have a fenced-in yard with a lot of room for your dog to run around and live in a neighborhood conducive to walks.
“Michelle is beyond amazing! She came through last minute to assist with my pets! I felt very comfortable with her and she assured me that everything would be fine. I would definitely use her services again!”

“I 100% recommend Ivana for your pet needs!! We are a complicated household of special needs pets and some sibling rivalry that requires us following certain protocols to avoid any issues. Ivana made time to get to know our pets prior to pet sitting for us and walked through our typical routine. When doing her drop-in stop, she did a great job of following all rules and maintaining us updated throughout the way. She was also very punctual - which is crucial for us, given that our pets need medication at specific times.”

“Hella did such an amazing job with my sweet baby Peach! It was my first time using Rover so admittedly I was nervous, but Hella put my mind at ease with her check ins and photos. Peach absolutely loves her and I will definitely be booking again!”

About: Just relocated to TX from Salt Lake City where I owned a very successful pet sitting business since 2011 and was the sole full-time pet sitter for it for over 10 years. I am conscientious, joyful, observant, and above all attuned to the language of animals (e.g., their behavior). One of my inner whys is getting to watch the pets I care for experience a sense of trust and safety and am fully invested in seeing they do. When family is away, it can be a vulnerable time but when pets can relax and have fun it feels like the world finally makes sense. Our pets deserve a happy, attentive sitter who worries as much about them as their family and gets joy from being in their presence, and that is 100% what I’m about. This is my full-time gig! I will most likely be working part-time in education come fall requiring daytime hours between 9 and 2 Monday through Friday. I can only do drop-in visits rather than boarding because my resident dogs aren't so keen on other canines, if you catch my drift. Wouldn't be a good fit, so to speak.
About: I love high energy breeds and puppies! I’m good with long visits and I am willing to run with your pup, if you’d like! Very reliable and responsible. Been doing this for a while and I love it! I have a lot of free time until the end of August when I start school. Even then, I still want to care for pets 💗 I’m very respectful of clients' homes and spaces. I treat them like it's my own space and my focus is always on your pet and all the love I can give them 💗
About: I am a cat owner and dog owner. I help take of my friends dogs when they are away. I love going for walks and playing fetch. I'm currently working from home and need to get out and stretch my legs! I am currently available anyday of the week from 7am to 6pm. I am not currently taking pets in my home since our senior dog doesnt get along with some dogs. I'm sorry for that. Maybe in the near future.
About: From growing up with my childhood dog, and multiple dogs at my grandmothers house, I’ve had experience with dogs since a very young age. I currently have three sweethearts. An American cocker spaniel, a rescue pup, and a rescue kitten. I have watched countless friends dogs and cats as well, and will never say no. I’m absolutely in love with any and all kinds of animals. Your babies will be treated just like mine! Just like family🩷! I currently am self employed and pick my own schedule. I usually work early am around 3 am to around 8 am. My evening shifts are around 3-4 hours long as well. My schedule is always available to be changed for your pet needs. All care instructions will be followed. Pets are also allowed on the furniture, and crates are also available. Daily play and walks are also provided

“Absolutely amazing. I had so much peace of mind thanks to Sydney, and my cats seemed quite happy with her too! Plenty of pat pats given, playing some, and clean food/water/box. Will definitely be contacting her again for future pet sitting.”

“Rebekah was absolutely amazing! Her communication was fantastic, she really took care of my babies like they were her own! I recommend booking her, you won’t be disappointed! I will be booking her in the future!”

“Kay dropped in to check on our dogs while we were out of town for the night. She came to meet them beforehand and sent updates every time she checked on them. Everything went smoothly and we'll definitely be using her again!”

About: I have grown up around dogs since a child and have a passion for taking care of them. I have my own dog who loves playing with others and she would love the company! I have Sundays & Mondays off and I have a pup who is 7 years old that wouldn't hurt a fly. We would love company & play time on my days off :) I allow pets to roam freely and they are allowed on furniture. I have a porch that is fenced in and give walks around my complex frequently. I have toys and treats but feel free to bring their fav :) I pay attention and make sure they are not in harms way and treated with love and care.
“Melinda did a fantastic job for taking care of my sick fur puppy. I felt comfortable and at ease with Melinda looking after Coco and she kept me updated with photos every visit. Would happily have her look after CoCo again. I would highly recommend Melinda.”

“Christina was amazing, I needed a last minute pet sitter and she was available. Christina communication was very good and she kept me updated about everything she did with Roxiee. I could not have asked for a better person to watch my pup. I would definitely use her again in the future”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
