“I had a major plane delay and Olivia was able to help take care of Betty for another night which helped with my stress of getting back later. We love how much she cares for Betty!”

“Mariana did an amazing job yet again with our boys! They always have such a wonderful time playing and hanging out with her. Mariana will always be our go-to whenever we need someone to watch our pups ❤️”

“I’m so thankful to Mercedes and her family for taking care of my little Izzy. It was my first time using Rover and I greatly appreciated Mercedes’ communication and photos throughout the stay. I was at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. She was also very flexible when it came to schedule changes which was super helpful. Izzy and I will be happy to use her services again in the future 🐶”

“5 stars is not enough! Yan kept me updated at all times and my dogs were SO happy they didn’t want to get in the car to come home. They had so much fun and I had so much peace of mind, Yan is amazing!”

“KC had a great first overnight stay at Kyle’s house! On our trip, we got pictures of KC playing with Kyle’s dogs and relaxing around the house. It was nice knowing that KC was having a good time while we were out of town. We’ll definitely book with Kyle again!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past year, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience dog sitting and caring for dogs with all kinds of personalities, routines, and needs. From daily walks and playtime to meals, medications, cuddles, and overnight stays, I treat every dog like they’re my own. I love getting to know each dog individually and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether we’re out exploring, relaxing at home, or simply enjoying some extra attention, I’m happiest when I’m spending time with dogs. My goal is always for both the pups and their parents to feel happy, comfortable, and confident that they’re in good hands. I currently work a full-time job, so I’m typically away from home from 7-3 Monday through Thursday and home on Fridays and weekends. That said, I always make sure my pups are a priority and receive plenty of love, attention, and care. I have a secure, fenced-in yard and an 11-year-old dog named Maya who is friendly and would be happy to keep your pets company during their stay.
“Elizabeth was great with my dog Opal! She tried different techniques to help calm her down as Opal can be very anxious around other dogs — I felt very at ease while I was away on my trip and she made sure to update me on how she was doing.”

“I cannot get over how perfect they were! Especially for our two puppies, they treated them like they were their own and sent us constant updates! Will use them again for sure! So happy with them”

“Friendly, reliable, and communicative. They followed medication and feeding instructions, sent updates, and walked my pups. I felt confident in their care of my two dogs while I was out of the country.”

“Amber was the best dog sitter we have had to date! She took such great care of our high energy dog and was so flexible with our changing travel plans. She will be my go -to dog sitter from now on.”

“Shana and Steve are the absolute sweetest. This was our first Rover experience and our 3 senior dogs got the royal treatment at their home. I received daily updates and photos which was an added bonus. I’m so grateful we found them and will absolutely book again!”
“Sarah is great! She was communicative and took great care of my dog. I got daily updates and photos of them playing, lounging and snuggling. Knowing my dog was safe and being cared for while I was away was great peace of mind.”

“Jon and his partner were great! Very communicative and flexible. We’ve got a whole pack of dogs, each with their own personalities and medical cases, and they rolled with the punches no problem at all.”

“Bassam was really easy to work with, we usually struggle to find a good place for our high energy German/husky/malinois despite her great behavior. And this place seems to have hit the spot for her, Bassam kept us updated with daily photos which helped keep us at ease throughout our trip. Thanks again!”

“Michelle was so great with Bailey! Bailey is 14 years old and Michelle took great care of her while we were away which gave us peace to enjoy our trip. Michelle was quick to respond, which is great because when you’re away from your older dog. (Those with older dogs, you know.) When I picked up Bailey, Michelle already knew Bailey’s personality just from a few days, which was awesome, which made Bailey more comfortable while we were away. If you have an older dog, Michelle is a great choice and will be with your dog all the time. Her dog was great with Bailey too. No issues when meeting and shared space with each other well. Thanks again Michelle!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lytton Springs home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lytton Springs.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lytton Springs sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
