I do not have a fenced yard so if boarding, I will need to walk your dog. I am right by a huge park so plenty of room to roam and sniff! I have a large livingroom so if crating is needed then no problem! I personally prefer against crating unless absolutely necessary. I like to treat them as if they are my own pet!
