They were incredibly communicative and responsive, and sent daily photos and updates that gave me so much peace of mind. About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was young. I grew up with them, have fostered them and been a cat owner. I love cats and understand that you have to earn their trust and affection and that some would prefer their space while others can be cuddly and want attention. I also know some can be a little playful with their claws and am pretty good at reading their cues and can handle a scratch or two.
“Michelle was lovely! Looked after our sweet cat while we were gone for the holiday. We came back and Juni was happy and fed which is all I care about! She also left the house super clean and locked up when she left. Definitely will be rebooking!”

About: I grew up with high-energy large hunting dogs. My own dog passed away this past Fall, but I love to give affection and care to other’s furry friends. Whether your dog needs to be walked 10 miles a day or is just a couch potato, I’ve got you covered! I currently work part time as a Tax Preparer and rarely have shifts for more than 4 hrs. Please let me know your dog’s needs and I’ll be happy to discuss the dates you are requesting! Lots of love for your furry friend, I’m great at keeping a schedule, and keeping all house rules/cleanliness. Ask me anything, I’m happy to accommodate!

About: I've always had multiple cats in the home since my mother was a veterinarian growing up! I learned the basics from her, but really honed my skills being the Team Lead for 9 Tails Pet Care LLC in Virginia. While taking care of other's babies, I was also providing life saving care to my own at home. At 10years old, my orange baby Peaches was diagnosed with heart failure at a terrifying hospital visit. With incredible guidance and my own paranoid vigilance, she lived another happy 10 months! Having to pill her twice per day and keep a close eye, I became something of a pro. No small detail will get past me. When I'm with your babies, they're treated as my own!
About: I am an avid animal lover who has seven dogs and two cats of her own. I love taking care of all animals and giving them the best life they can possibly have. All of my animals have had different personalities, so I know how to deal with all different types of animals and adjust to their needs. I’ve also fostered a number of dogs and am patient working with dogs that come from a variety of backgrounds and quirks! I am currently working remotely full-time, so I have the ability to hang out and play with the animals all day! I can keep an eye on all of them throughout the day and bring them outside to play or hang out in the fenced yard! I have a fenced yard, a gate to cover any stairs in case the animal cannot be near stairs, plenty of animal beds, food bowls, water, toys, etc. I also have three large dog crates if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of cats of every kind and at high quantities. I have a very thorough background in understanding cat behavior and adjusting my own to fit their needs. In general, I’ve found that my favorite thing about cats is their peaceful nature but I see something endearing in the wild ones as well. Overall, my confidence in taking care or any animal weather it’s fluffy, scaly or prickly is very high as I have been in the vet industry for nearly my entire adult life. Life has seemed to find a way to take me out of that industry and I am grateful to get the opportunity to potentially be able to work with your fur baby as I do miss it.
“Kaleigh was wonderful to my kitty! Sending me pictures of him, cleaning up his litter box, to even leaving some movies on the tv for him to watch! She was so affectionate and detailed oriented. I loved having her as my cat sitter while I was away! Much love 💜”

About: I’ve been taking care of family members cats since I was young. Now, I personally have 3 cats (4 year old, 3 year old, and a 10 month) along with my 2 dogs! Cats are so misunderstood - the love of a cat is unmatched!

“Having Marsha care for our pets has been a god send. She is attentive, reliable, and patient. It was a great peace of mind knowing our babies were in good hands while we were away. Will definitely be contacting again the next time we are away.”

“Tamara did a great job feeding our three cats, including a high maintenance one. Sent pics and everything was clean and cats did great. Relieved to know we can depend on her in the future, thanks!”

“Sydney did a great job taking care of our cats and our home. Our cats require a bit more TLC than what’s probably typical, and Sydney was very receptive when discussing their needs. Expect lots of pictures!!!”

“Katherine was amazing with my kitties. This was our first time ever using someone with Rover or any other service vs someone we know personally. Super worth it and I felt at ease the entire time! She was very thorough and is so kind and funny and takes great pictures. You can tell when people have a way with animals. :) I'll be partnering with Katherine again for trips in the future!”

About: I have taken care of other pets since elementary school. Neighbors and friends, even farm animals like sheep and goats. I can take care of it all! I currently work part time and I’m just looking to make some more money over the summer. I have some extra free time while I’m on break form school so why not make some extra cash to save. I currently live in an apartment but there are multiple dog parks close by and plenty of space for nice long walks. It’s only me and my dog I’m my apartment right now but she is very well mannered and mellow.

“If you are searching for someone to look after your fur babies book Norman! We had a family emergency that required short notice travel that coincided with Thanksgiving week, and we are brand new to Austin. Enter Norman. We picked him because he has been verified and had good reviews. He was very responsive, available for our pets on very short notice, answered all my questions and scheduled a phone call with us to go over pet specifics. Norman is very professional. He checked in every day, sent pictures of the cats, and followed all the instructions perfectly. We highly recommend him and will book him next time we are out of town.”

“Brianna took great care of our two Goldens for a whole week! It was our first time hiring a pet sitter so we were really nervous to have someone come to our home and care for our babies but after meeting Brianna, we immediately knew we were in good hands. We got daily pictures and updates, she was always on schedule and we didn't have to worry about a thing. It was clear that they were very well loved and cared for while we were away. I am so glad we found Brianna - we will definitely work with her again! Thank you, Brianna!!”

“Kyle was very friendly and professional when I dropped my dog off to him, he was flexible with my work schedule. I highly recommend him. I could tell that my dog had a good time when I picked him up. I for sure will use him in the future. Thank you Kyle!”

“Super -duper pet sitter w/ such a great approach for our little traumatized pound puppy. He has a natural talent for animals, but the fact he's a certified vet tech just adds a bonus. It's rare to meet someone that is so compassionate, but also has skills to deal w) a pet that needs additional medical care or attention. Justin was great about sharing updates and photos while our Bonnie was in his care. After some initial apprehension, we relaxed realizing she was comfortable and happy with him. It's easy to recommend Justin for an excellent care giver. His rates are very reasonable, also. If there were more than 5 stars, we'd add more as well as rate him as outstanding! Thanks so much for helping us enjoy our trip away!”

About: Hi there! I’m a Minnesota born, Bastrop-based dog lover and I’m glad you’ve found my profile. I've been around dogs my entire life and believe a dog makes a house a home. My own fur baby, Milou, is a 5 year old lab mix who loves other dogs and people. He will gladly accept a pal to join us on walks, or chase around the backyard. I have 5+ years experience volunteering with various animal shelters and a plethora of nights & weekends spent house/dog sitting for friends and family. I love to explore new trails, parks, & hikes so your pup's stay will be an active one! I am also a runner and will gladly take your dog along to burn off some extra energy. I took a couple years off from Rover as my family relocated several times. Now that we are settled in the Austin area, I am ready to get back to dog sitting/walking/boarding, and hope to meet you soon! I work from home so I am around to provide company, potty breaks, and perhaps even a lunchtime trip to the dog park! Canine coworkers are my favorite. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space to roam safely. My dog loves hanging out back there and would enjoy a teammate to help him put the neighborhood squirrels in their place ;)

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Hope! Booking last-minute was stressful, but she was so understanding and flexible with our schedule. Not only did she accommodate our late pick-up, but she also went above and beyond by sending us regular updates and adorable photos, which truly put our minds at ease. Her communication was exceptional, and it was clear that our dog was in the best hands. Whiskey came back happy and relaxed, and we couldn’t ask for more. I am currently operating my own micro-farm growing organic vegetables and flowers in South Austin which allows my schedule to be very flexible. I am available for boarding, house-sitting, pet walking and drop-in visits to feed and play with cats and dogs (and other animals on a case by case basis). I am happy to visit and care for a variety of pets by feeding and playing with them as well as helping with any household tasks including plant watering, checking the mail and throwing out trash/recycling. I am currently living in a tiny home on my own on a large plot of land with plenty of access to unfenced outdoor space if you are interested in boarding your pets. I am also very happy to come to your home for drop-in visits and/or to stay overnight if you and your pets would be more comfortable with that option. For dogs, I am happy to spend time indoors with them playing with toys and giving them good belly scratches as well as take them outdoors either into the backyard and/or on walks. I have experience both with big dogs including a German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees lab mix, Australian Shepherds, and shelter dogs as well as smaller dogs including a Teacup Pomeranian and an Iggie. I’m very active, so if your dog has a lot of energy and likes to go on runs, I am happy to run with them as well. For cats, I am happy to match their energy levels - if they are playful and energetic, I engage with them and encourage play. If they prefer to sleep or rest or are more shy, I am happy to just be around and pet them/brush them if they would like or just give them space. I am happy to care for other pets if requested and I am comfortable with the care instructions. I have previously cared for a tortoise, which mainly consisted of feeding him and giving him water.
About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for everything from tiny Chihuahuas to gentle Great Pyrenees, raised puppies from birth, loved senior dogs through their golden years, and cared for rescue dogs with unique personalities and needs. My own family includes four spoiled pups: a 12-year-old Chihuahua, a 12-year-old rescue, and two playful French Bulldog puppies who keep me on my toes every day. They are my babies, and I know that’s exactly how you feel about yours. I understand that hiring a sitter means trusting someone with a member of your family. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own, while respecting their routine, personality, and all the little things that help them feel happy and secure. I am taking the summer off before returning to school three days a week this fall. That means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. My own daily routine already revolves around caring for my two dogs, so adding walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or overnight care fits naturally into my day. I carefully plan my schedule so every pet receives the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve rather than feeling rushed between appointments. I treat every pet as if they were my own: with patience, kindness, and respect for their individual personalities and routines. I know that every animal is different, so I take the time to learn their habits, preferences, and any special instructions you provide. Whether that’s medication, feeding schedules, favorite walking routes, or bedtime routines, I believe consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m attentive to details, keep a clean environment, and always prioritize your pet’s safety. You’ll also receive regular photo updates and messages so you can relax knowing your furbaby is happy and well cared for.

About: Growing up with a veterinarian mother, we always had multiple pets in the home! When I was 22 I adopted my soulmate, Peaches. Five years later, she was diagnosed with heart failure at a terrifying hospital visit. My quick reaction, and the incredible Dr's, saved her life. She lived another happy 10 months with vigilance and guidance. Having to pill her twice a day, and keep a close eye, I became a pro! At the same time, I was taking care of clients pets, never missing a beat. Special skills include giving medications, insulin, incredible patience and attention to detail. When your babies are with me, they're treated as my own. I won't miss a thing! I am available, and used to, a full time pet care schedule! Having just moved from my last position in Virginia, I'm ready to establish an incredible client base here in Bastrop. I have a large fenced yard at home, on a quiet street. Pets will never be left unattended, and will always be on leash when leaving the home. Pets will always be handled gently and with care, while maintaining a strong grip on the leash! Water bowls will be clean and filled at every visit, every time. In home cameras are welcome to keep a close eye on your baby! I will also be snapping pictures for you to follow along on our adventures.
About: I have had a few dogs from friends and families that I have taken care of over the years for free. I have my own dog that I have had since he was a puppy that is very well trained would love to meet other dogs and experience new fur friends. I work at home and I take breaks very very often. I go to my backyard and even parks just to walk. I would love to take them for walks as well. I have a fenced in backyard and my dogs go out often. Morning, Afternoon, and 2 times in the evening. Just to make sure dogs use the bathroom and get that energy out before they fall asleep.
About: I’ve been a huge dog lover since I was ten years old! Growing up, I pet-sat for neighbors, family, and friends, so I’m very comfortable with feeding, walking, and keeping pups entertained. I’ve owned three dogs throughout my life and am currently a proud Shih Tzu owner, so I definitely know my way around a big 'lion dog' personality! I also enjoy training; I’ve taught my dogs everything from basic sits and paw-shakes to 'wait' commands for meals and even some fun moves like dancing. I truly just love being around dogs! I'm currently a full time college student but I still have lots of time to play and take care of your dogs! My availability is usually in the afternoon on weekdays and mostly open throughout the day on weekends. Just send me a message and I'll coordinate as best with your times! When sitting in your home, my priority is maintaining your dog's familiar routine to keep them stress free. I stick to your established feeding, walking, and medication schedules! And I make sure to have fun with them :)
About: I love high energy breeds and puppies! I’m good with long visits and I am willing to run with your pup, if you’d like! Very reliable and responsible. Been doing this for a while and I love it! I have a lot of free time until the end of August when I start school. Even then, I still want to care for pets 💗 I’m very respectful of clients' homes and spaces. I treat them like it's my own space and my focus is always on your pet and all the love I can give them 💗
About: I have lots of experience with different types of animals. We have three inside kitties that were rescued when they were still bottle feeding. Two years ago we lost our 19 year old Labrador to old age. And the year before that we lost our 16 year old chow chow to old age. I will feed, water, walk and clean up after the babies. I am a full time convenience store manager for TXB. I Rover on the side to help my youngest daughter pay for college. She is currently earning her masters degree and I want to be able to help as much as possible. I am available most evenings after 6p. During the summer I am available all day Friday and Saturday. During the winter I am available all day Saturday and Sunday. I do not wish to care for anyone’s fur babies in my home. It would stress my kitties and I will not put them through any stress. I will take very good care of your fur babies in your home. I will follow all instructions given for their care and do my best to make the visit as comfortable as possible for the babies.

“She was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, she made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She kept me updated often with messages, pictures, and little moments throughout the day, which truly gave me peace of mind. It was clear my dog was not only well taken care of, but genuinely loved while I was away. I really appreciated how attentive, communicative, and thoughtful she was the entire time. You can tell she truly cares about the pets she watches. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“Aine was absolutely fantastic. From the start and meeting her at first, she asked questions to make sure she understood Ralph’s needs and how best to care for him. She sent daily updates and the CUTEST photos. I can’t recommend her enough and would absolutely use her again. Thank you Aine!!”

“We left our dog Stanley with Edwin and his wonderful family for a 9-day stay, and they did a fantastic job! Edwin kept us updated with photos and messages, showing Stanley eating, getting brushed, going on walks, and settling in. Anytime I checked in, Edwin was quick to respond and always communicative. We had a great feeling about the stay after a meet-and-greet with Edwin and his family a week before our trip. From the moment we arrived, Edwin took the leash and was confidently in control of Stanley. We’ve done meet-and-greets before where the sitter gives your dog a few pats and focuses more on chatting with you. This was more like a test drive, where Edwin paid close attention to how Stanley handled the new environment. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they took the responsibility seriously and that Stanley would be well cared for while we were away. Stanley is pretty easy going... until it thunders. Then he becomes very anxious. Unfortunately, there were a few storms while we were away. We left medication to help, but it takes awhile to kick in and it sometimes only takes the edge off. If you have a dog like this, you feel pretty helpless during these storms. There is no magic fix. You make them as comfortable as possible, but the only way "out" is getting through the storm. Edwin was proactive with the medication, and along with his family, helped Stanley ride out those storms as well as we could have ourselves. We’re grateful to Edwin and his family for taking such great care of Stanley and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Sarah was great to our pup! She shared sweet photos and updates throughout the visit. I learned from Sarah about a different style of leash that is much more comfortable for our pup!”

“Hope and her husband were great! I couldn’t ask for a better people to take care of my pup and give me that peace of mind! They took her on a walk, hung out outside, played and relaxed inside and overall just genuinely took care of mine like it was her own! Highly recommend!”

“Jon was great way beyond my expectation. Easy to communicate with. I knew when my dogs were in great hands when I dropped them off. The best part of dropping them off was Roxy (Jon’s dog). Probably the coolest dog I’ve ever met.”

“Jade is so sweet! She had our 4 month old puppy for 4 nights and was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. My dog loved playing with her dog Hiccup and they did lots of fun activities together. Will be booking again!”
