“Jasmine was wonderful!! We’ve used Rover several times and have been fortunate to have some really great sitters, but Jasmine was truly a step above. She sent us photos and updates every day, left our home even cleaner than we left it, and most importantly, spent so much time loving on and caring for our boys. ❤️ It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Jasmine to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets and their home. We will definitely be using her again! 🐾❤️”

“Serenity was wonderful. So communicative and there for my animals around the clock. I had a friend drop out at the last minute and was unable to take care of our animals but serenity was ready to take care of them the second I reached out. She has done a great job of taking care of my dog pets needs and making me feel secure in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would love to use her services in the future!”

“Tia was fantastic. Her response time and communication was top-of-the-line. She was very attentive to all of Jack’s needs and treated him like her own. I definitely enjoyed all the wonderful pictures she sent during her time. When I arrived home, my house was in perfect condition. Jack was happy and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend her as one of my top choices.”

“Kristin did a great job! She gave lots of updates and sent plenty of pictures so I never had to worry about my pets while I was gone! Will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Sienna is great! She is awesome at communicating and very loving to our Buddy. She spent lots of time with him and left the house exactly as we left it. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Caryl is a caring, responsible, and dedicated caregiver. We are extremely grateful for her support and commitment to the care of our animals. Lots of pics and update during her stay!!”

“Jackson was fantastic! He did everything as I asked and followed my “rules”.. I received updates everyday. I never had to worry about my girls. When I got home, they both were very happy. I normally can tell if they have had a bad few days and they definitely did NOT with Jackson!”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and animals my entire life and have had over 12 years of daily hands on experience caring for my own dog. I’ve also helped friends and neighbors with walking, feeding, potty breaks, and drop in care. I currently work with children, so I’m responsible, patient, dependable, and comfortable handling different personalities and needs. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I would want for my own. I work part time Monday through Friday in the afternoons from 2 pm to 6 pm. I’ll start working full time in the summer. However, until June I can conduct my services in mornings. I’ll always be available evenings after 7:00 PM I greet the pets by petting them as soon as I enter the clients home. I will then let them out and will wait until they are by the door to let them in. I also actively supervise the animals and don’t let them leave my sight while being on the clients property. I make sure they are inside the clients home and their cages if one is required before leaving the clients property.
“Danni has the sweetest spirt and immediately took to our Gracie Gracie Girl and Indie Boy. She was happy to stay with our Gracie for the day (we SO appreciate that!). When we are gone, Gracie won't eat or go outside (she gets depressed). Imagine our joy and surprise when Danni let us know that Gracie ate all of her dinner and went outside for her!! Danni sent photos and kept us apprised of how the day was going. She has great respect for our home and our wishes for Gracie and we would highly recommend her. Thank you Danni!”

“Maya took great care of our dog Audrey and our cat Cali while we were out of town. This was our first time having someone stay at our house with the pets. Cali is a pretty easy cat. Audrey can be a lot sometimes but Maya took it in stride and seemed unphased Audrey's specific needs, demands for attention, and separation anxiety. Every picture Maya sent showed Audrey and Cali looking cozy or happy. They seemed to enjoy her company. When we arrived home, Audrey especially seemed unstressed by the weekend without us. I would recommend Maya to anyone looking for a caring and conscientious individual to watch their pets.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with cats and have spent the last several years loving my own Aussiedoodle, Scout. We recently lost our cat, and I truly miss those kitty cuddles, so I’d be thrilled to spend time caring for yours. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply giving your pet companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family. I’m active, dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly as you prefer. I’ll also send plenty of photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I work for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet check-ins. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, a long walk, or some extra love while you’re away, I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule and keep your furry family member happy, exercised, and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine, so I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I believe in earning both your trust and your pet’s trust through patience, consistency, and kindness. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during each visit, and I’ll always treat your home with the same respect I’d expect someone to show mine.
“Tarah was amazing with our four pets! We have two cats and two dogs and she made sure they were loved on while we were away. She even got our most anxious kitty to come snuggle with her ? we got lots of pictures. Very responsive and communicative. We will absolutely use Tarah again in the future!!”

“This was the first time I used a pet sitter and was a little apprehensive. That disappeared when I met Jennifer and watched her interact with our pet that is a 75 lb Boxer, German Shepherd mix that is a little rambunctious. She gave me priceless peace of mind while we were away on our trip. She is very experienced, providing many photos and updates on how things were going. BTW she also has two cats to care for! To top it off she left our house in better condition than how she found it. I would highly recommend Jennifer for your house sitting needs.”

“Abby was wonderful watching our 2 German Shepherds. Our 1 year old can be very active, mouthy and demanding and we appreciated her honesty regarding some of his poor manners while we were gone. He is also on heart meds 3x per day and she was very conscientious about notifying me and following up with any issues. Great job keeping the house picked up too. Wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lytle walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lytle maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lytle choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lytle. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
