Theresa was very nice and very accommodating. She sent pictures of our Goshi and I am sure Goshi had a great time as he was all pooped out when we got home. Thank you Theresa for taking care of Goshi!

It’s always a little nerve wracking to leave your animals with a sitter, especially when you own two little chihuahua mixes and the sitters have two large German shepherds! But Chris and Dan were wonderful and we agreed to a “meet and greet” prior to our booking. All dogs got along and I received photo/video updates on their shenanigans from running the backyard to being cuddled up on the couch! Now I have two VERY tired out pups and peace of mind knowing I can book more fun for them in the future!

About: Hi there! My name is Angelina, and I am a dedicated and experienced pet sitter with a passion for caring for cats and dogs of all ages. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and behaviors of our furry friends. I have worked with a wide variety of breeds and personalities. From energetic puppies to seniors, I have experience providing the love, attention, and care that each pet deserves. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of the animals under my care. I am committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for them and I understand the importance of maintaining their routines and providing them with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. I believe in building trust and forming a bond with each pet, ensuring that they feel loved and cared for while their owners are away. I understand the importance of clear communication with pet owners and am always available to provide updates and answer any questions or concerns. If you are looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter who will treat your furry friends as if they were my own, I would be honored to be considered. I am confident that my experience, dedication, and love for animals make me the perfect choice to care for your beloved pets. I work from home so I will always be home and able to provide potty breaks as often as needed. Just let me know if your fur baby has any specific needs and I’ll work to accommodate them. I have a large fenced yard and my own dogs to keep your dog company. I have a large doggie playpen and crates if you prefer your fur baby to be crated or separated from my fur babies. I have baby gates to keep dogs in or out of specific areas of the house while I am working (from home) and I use pet cameras to keep an eye on them while working in my home office. I’m happy to send pictures or video updates of your fur babies while you are away so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your vacation or time away while knowing your babies are in a safe environment. My dogs are small/medium, friendly, and not aggressive.

Let me start off by saying that Ella was absolutely amazing!!! I mean from start to finish she is phenomenal, her energy is amazing and she took care of my dog so so well!! She communicated the entire time and sent pictures and my dog looked replaced and happy! My dog is usually anxious in the car but for some reason when I picked her up she was relaxed and calmed which ensured she was comfortable and is beginning to recognize that I will always come back got her. Ella you are truly an angel and I look forward to future visits

Abigail took care of my dog multiple times while my parents were out of town and I was at work. He was there for long periods of times and he loved every minute. I was nervous to send him in the beginning because he’s very high energy, but she provided pictures so I felt at ease and he was having a great time with the other dogs. He was exhaust at the end of the day and excited to go back!

Lauren was so good to our dog who is shy but super friendly. She made him feel at home and played his favorite game of fetch. He was tired when he came home and he slept the entire night. We will definitely use Lauren again. She even sent a little video of him to us.

Jennifer is amazing we have recurring visits for doggy day care and the dogs love going there. She took adorable photos with the witch costumes I sent them with. She even clipped my one dogs nails today. She’s an amazing sitter and your pets will be so well taken care of if they go here. You can’t find a better sitter. Lots of love and lots of care and so many photos and videos. It’s the best solution if your babies need someone to care or they while your away. I can’t say enough great stuff about her.

About: I’ve taken care of my sweet 70 lb pit bull for 4 years now in my home with a fully fenced backyard, downstairs dog play area, private room and crate for your dog, and eufy camera access to the private room. My dog has esophageal dysmotility so I understand medically complicated dogs. My home is ideal for a dog that is lower energy and enjoys calm and quiet environments. I work remote so I am home throughout the day other than the occasional doctor appointment. On average when I leave the home, it’s usually only about 2 hours and the max is about 4 hours. I also take my dog to a home groomer every other week so I can coordinate with you to take your dog to my groomer when my dog goes for grooming for an extra cost plus you paying the groomer separately. The most important thing is that your dog and my dog get along and/or are neutral. When I leave for brief periods your dog will be crated in their private room with the door closed and my dog will be loose but without access to your dog. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys! I work fully remote so your dog will be with me at all times (unless I have an appointment or errand to run) either in my office, their own private room with a crate, or in the living room. I typically wake up around 6 am and pet care happens whenever my dog needs so I can do the same for your dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding and play time. I am typically in bed by 8 pm but will get up if needed to take my dog out to the bathroom as well. Safety is my main priority. I require that our dogs get along/are neutral to one another to prevent any sort of altercation. If there ever is an altercation, you would be informed immediately and the dogs can easily be separated for the rest of the day/boarding booking. I have a very quiet and calm home and live in a quiet neighborhood as well. I take breaks during work to get on the couch and spend time with my dog and will do the same for yours! Your dog must be crate trained and will be put in a crate for any time I must leave the home (max 4 hours at a time). Your dog will also have to be either in their crate or in their private room with the door closed while I sleep. Them being able to be in their private room with the door closed while I sleep will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high of a safety risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys!

About: In the last year I have gained experience with dogs by helping to care for my girlfriend's dogs, which includes walking, feeding, and hanging out with them. I have also done a dog sitting job and helped walk her neighbor's dogs, making sure they were safe and comfortable. I'm currently working as an independent contractor, which means that my schedule is pretty flexible in terms of accommodating pet care in my time. When I’m caring for pets, I just try to keep things as normal as possible for them. I stick to their routine for feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and make sure they always have water. I also spend time hanging out with them, playing a bit, and making sure they’re not stressed or lonely. If I’m in a client’s home, I follow any instructions they leave and respect their space. I just try to make sure the pet feels safe, comfortable, and taken care of while their owner is away.

About: I've been a dog owner for 20 years. Over the last 10 years, friends, family and neighbors have entrusted me with taking care of their dogs. 2 years ago, I took on the venture of fostering dogs in my home. My experience with them has been with puppies through adult dogs. Special needs dogs are welcome too, as I have experience with dogs with seizure disorder and other chronic issues. During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My pets (and fosters) stay in my office with me when I working. I am able to care for your pets during my breaks, lunchtime and after hours. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. My dogs have their own room to offer a safe space for them. The dogs are never left unattended to ensure they don't get into something they are not suppose to. If watching the dog in your home, I will follow any instructions that you give to ensure your dog's safety and happiness.

I currently have the most experience in dogs. I’m actively an apprentice with a local dog trainer to be a positive reinforcement force free trainer. I am also studying canine behavior. I have experience in doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming. I have administered medications ranging from oral medicine to injections (subq and intermuscular). I’m available most days for play dates, walks, boarding, grooming, and more! I have a large fenced in yard. I also have so so many dog toys. I have two dogs as well so your baby can make friends! I can offer crates when we leave or at night if you prefer! I have plenty of house for them to be in as well, also plenty of people to love on them! Your baby will never be alone!

About: Hi! My family has had dogs my whole life and I currently have a dog myself, she is 4 years old. While i’m newer to pet sitting, I’m responsible, patient, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable. I already take daily walks as part of my routine, so caring for pets fits in very naturally. I enjoy having a dog join me—it makes the time more enjoyable while ensuring they get consistent, relaxed exercise. For dog walks, I make sure they get safe, relaxed exercise during my daily walking time. I pay attention to their pace, energy level, and comfort, and I always keep them on a secure leash. At my home, I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely spend time outside for potty breaks and fresh air. I make sure they are always supervised and safe while outdoors.

About: I am a certified veterinary technician with an additional certification in massage and rehab therapy. I have been working in the animal care industry since 2012 and have worked with and trained dogs for a long as I can remember. I offer expert level care for medically complex cases and a fear free approach for anxious pets. I have experience working with anxious and aggressive dogs as well as competition trained dogs. Being crate trained is a must for overnight stays. I do have 1 large crate here but encourage you to bring your pet's crate from home if able. Self- employed with a flexible schedule, I have all day availability and can also do early morning and late evening drop ins. I only take 1 client at a time so that I can give your pet the care and attention they deserve. Because I only take one client at a time, I can offer a stress free stay for animal aggressive pets. About: I’ve always lived with animals and loved them, but have worked at 2 animal shelters and 2 doggy daycares. I truly enjoy being with animals of all shapes and sizes. I’m very reliable and will accommodate whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable. Since I know pet CPR and pet first aid I know the steps to take in case of an emergency. Your baby will always be in safe hands when I’m looking after them! I’m home full time and have four dogs myself, cats, as well as a 8 year old daughter and 2 year old son so pet care and child care is a full time staple in my home anyways. I’m never away from home long unless I’m going to run errands. I have four friendly dogs of varying ages, so I’m very experienced caring for pets with different needs and personalities. I always follow any routines and rules you set for your pet, including potty breaks whenever they need them. Safety is very important to me, and when it’s time to come inside, I make sure the environment is free of anything your pet could get into or accidentally choke on.

Ella was so kind and thoughtful! We were in a bit of a pinch and needed to find a sitter in a couple days and I am so glad we chose Ella! Her home was clean and well kept. Our Ollie girl seemed to feel so welcomed and well cared for! Ella sent plenty of pictures throughout her visit and even gave Ollie a few toys that she was enjoying while she was there! We will certainly book with Ella again!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Loves Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Loves Park on Rover is $29.97 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 139 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Loves Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Loves Park commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 139 sitters in Loves Park, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
