About: Growing up with dogs means dog-sitting comes naturally! We love all dogs and promise to treat them just like family. From nightly belly rubs to outdoor walks, we cover it all! With a cozy home and walkable community, your pets will feel right at home. We’re very comfortable providing medications or making other accommodations for your pet’s needs. With a work from home schedule, one, or often both of us, are home most of the day! Your fur baby will receive constant attention, supervision, 1-on-1 attention, and a low-stress home for your dog 🐶 We know how important your pets are to you because we feel the same way about ours. Leaving your furry family member with someone else can be stressful, so our goal is to make the experience as comfortable and worry-free as possible for both you and your pet. Your pet will be cared for in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where they can relax, play, and feel right at home. We take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they receive plenty of love, attention, and care throughout their stay. We believe trust starts with communication. We’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can see how your pet is doing and know they’re happy and well cared for. Whether your pet loves to cuddle, play, explore, or simply relax nearby, we’re happy to give them the attention and affection they need. Most importantly, we want every pet in our care to feel like part of the family. ❤️ Our home is a place where pets can feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their families are away.
“Tired pups means happy pups! We’ve had our two chihuahua mixes stay with Chris and Dan twice now for extended day care and they eagerly run right into their house which is always a good sign. They have a fun, exhausting, day running their large yard with their German shepherds!”

About: With years of hands-on experience in pet care. I would love to expand on that through the app. I provide professional and reliable services to ensure your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I understand their need for comfort, routine, and playtime. Having a deep passion for animals, with extensive experience walking, training, and administering medication. My goal is to create a positive, energetic environment for each dog I care for. Hi my name is Shelly🐚 and I love dedicating my free time to animals. Any kind of animals as well! I have a bunny myself and she's 4 years old. I put her away if I have dogs/cats board with me. I currently live on the border of Plymouth and Canton. It has beautiful walking trails and big open fields that are within walking distance from my apartment, where I love to stay active by!🏃🏽♀️

About: Get ready for your dog to be spoiled! I am the owner of a 7 acre mini Farm home! Your dogs will absolutely love it here! There are lots of trees around and beautiful grass for them to run around in here. I have always been a natural when it comes to pets, but specifically I love dogs, especially really big dogs! I have had dogs my entire life and I now have a small Shepherd Lab mix at home. I make it a priority to make sure that your dogs are well taken care of, well fed, have lots of fun, and get lots of exercise! So it's more than just a regular boarding/walking experience. Also I am a bit of a photographer so plan on getting lots of beautiful pictures of your dog on the farm from me during their visit. I also have two older daughters who are absolute animal lovers and will play and pet your pups consistently while they are here. I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets, I an usually always home unless I am on a call for thr fire station. My land is not fully fenced off so If need be I will have to walk pups on a leash which is not a problem at all.
“Excellent communicator. Loving dog sitter. Alyssa had my pup for daycare and she put me right at ease by listening carefully to my instructions and sending lots of pix. We have already booked again! Thank you for taking great care of my baby!”
About: I currently have two small dogs who I take care of full time. I’ve had them for 5 years now. I love playing with dogs, rubbing their tummy, or just hanging out with them. If your dog has separation anxiety that will not be a problem. One of my dogs is the same way and I wouldn’t mind being there full time for your dog. Pet care fits into my schedule perfectly because most of my days consist of being home taking care of my two small dogs. I’m also a nursing student so it helps that I have a lot of time after studying to play with the dogs/puppies. I have a fenced yard. It is pretty big. In order to keep my dogs safe I always make sure doors are closed before letting them out and as a special precaution I like to add an AirTag to their collars in case anything happens (has not happened yet but it’s better to be safe than sorry).
About: I've been a dog owner for 20 years. Over the last 10 years, friends, family and neighbors have entrusted me with taking care of their dogs. 2 years ago, I took on the venture of fostering dogs in my home. My experience with them has been with puppies through adult dogs. Special needs dogs are welcome too, as I have experience with dogs with seizure disorder and other chronic issues. During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My pets (and fosters) stay in my office with me when I working. I am able to care for your pets during my breaks, lunchtime and after hours. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. My dogs have their own room to offer a safe space for them. The dogs are never left unattended to ensure they don't get into something they are not suppose to. If watching the dog in your home, I will follow any instructions that you give to ensure your dog's safety and happiness.
“Emily treats your fur babies like her own! My girls absolutely love spending the day at doggie daycare with her and her sweet pup, Gertie. I get the cutest playtime videos throughout the day, which gives me total peace of mind knowing they're safe, loved, and having an absolute blast while I'm away.”

About: I had a golden-lab for 6 years until we lost him to cancer earlier this year. My kiddos and I miss him a ton and would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby until we are ready to get another dog of our own. I work fully from home so I have a lot of flexibility all week and any weekends we are home/available as well. I am confident your pet would have LOTS of love and attention! I have a nice fenced in yard and great neighborhood available for daily walks. We have a great safe space to care for your pet!
About: We currently foster a variety of different dogs through out the year. We are used to quirky behaviors, shy pups, and just getting dogs to become comfortable with us and our home. We are very adjustable to different dog personalities and requirements, and will be flexible with your needs, and how the dog reacts to us in our home or yours. We have owned many pets in our lifetime, including dogs (as well as fostering). We are well versed in activity, playtime, and training. We love to play fun activities with our dogs such as obstacles, finding treats, water playtime and more! *We will never have a foster dog at the same time we are dog sitting in our home. I work part time from home, and my husband works from home as well. A dog staying in our care will have many walks through out the day, and will be able to go outside every few hours. We have very flexible schedules and outside of a random weekday activity, your pet will be our primary responsibility. In our home, we will tailor set up and activity based on the pet's needs. We are open to using crates, beds, free roaming based on what the pet is used to and comfortable with. We have kids in the home who are very used to working with new animals, especially animals who have come for traumatic environments so they know what to do around new animals-- slow introductions if needed, calm environment, playing in separate rooms etc. We will work with the personality of your dog!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I have also had a small private pet/house sitting business for the past 12 years. I have a lot of experience feeding pets with strict/special diets using oils, powders, crushed up supplements etc. and administering medicine including insulin injections. I’ve cared for dogs with disabilities and senior pets and puppies too. I love playing, walking, and just hanging out with them and giving lots of cuddles. I am a Nanny during the week, but have a somewhat flexible schedule. I generally can work the pet sitting routine into my work schedule so they are always well cared for and get plenty of attention. For boarding, my husband is home during the day and can take great care of your pets too. I am available to drop in or walk early mornings, evenings and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday’s. Pet sitting in your home - I basically “move in” for the time you are away. I follow your routine and house rules and spend most of my time in your home making sure your pets needs are met. This is especially good if there are separation anxiety issues. Boarding - I provide all loving care in my home making sure pets are comfortable, safe, and happy. Drop in- I will stop at your home and let dogs out, feed & water, play, etc. for no less than 20 minutes. I can also care for cats if you have them. Walks- I will come by, whether you are home or away, and take the dog(s) for a walk. I can feed and water too.
About: My dog passed away a few years ago and I miss him every day, but my family is not in a place to have a full time dog right now. However, I work from home and I’d love to have a doggie “coworker” who needs a buddy during the day. I have provided care to multiple dogs and can provide references if you need them. As mentioned, I currently work full time from home. Both of my children are in school all day so it’s just me in the house. I do have drop off and pick up to work around but we can discuss. I work out of a home office and can have the dog in the office with me all day. They can be in a dog bed or sitting on my lap if they’re small enough. I’ll take them on frequent walks and make sure they get adequate exercise. We have a gazebo and I'd be happy to sit outside with your dog so they get fresh air too (weather permitting).

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Argyle commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
