About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. For the past 8 years, I’ve been the proud pet parent of two wonderful dogs who are a big part of my daily routine—I play with them, make sure they get plenty of exercise, feed them nutritious meals, and, most importantly, give them lots of love and attention. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also volunteered with a local rescue organization, helping homeless puppies find loving homes. I’ve fostered dogs and kittens in need, giving them a safe and nurturing environment while they wait for their forever families. This hands-on experience has taught me how to handle a wide range of temperaments and needs with patience and compassion. I’m available on weekends and most holidays, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pup, including visits to your home if needed. During the week, I work a regular 8–5 job, but I make time in my schedule to provide consistent care. I can stop by for potty breaks and walks in the morning before work, around lunchtime (around noon) if needed, and again in the evening after 5 PM. Your dog’s comfort and routine are important to me, and I’m happy to work with you to make sure they get the attention, exercise, and love they need throughout the day. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for any pet—whether it’s in my home or yours. In my own home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with secure spaces where dogs can play, relax, and feel comfortable. I’m always mindful of keeping anything unsafe (like cords, small objects, or toxic foods) out of reach, and I never leave pets unattended in risky situations. When caring for a client’s dog, I follow their routine closely and keep communication open with regular updates, photos, and messages so you always know how your pup is doing. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, needs, and boundaries to make sure they feel safe and loved. Whether we’re on a walk, having playtime, or just cuddling, your dog’s well-being is always my focus.

About: Hello, I’m Tom! I’m a retired mailman after 33 years of delivering mail and getting to know the wonderful people and pets in my community. Now that I’m retired, I’m looking for a fun way to stay active while doing something I truly love—spending time with dogs! One of my pit bulls is also a Certified Therapy Dog, and for three years, the two of us visited Marquette Elementary School in Machesney Park, where we loved spending time with the students and bringing a little extra joy to their day. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first when im caring for them in your home, follow your feeding, potty, and exercise routine so they feel secure and settled. If you don’t really have a route with pups and are a go with the flow person like I am I can provide, 8-10 potty’s breaks and lots of attention. For safety during walks in my neighborhood, there are no sidewalks so we walk against traffic so we can see oncoming cars with dogs on the right side of me farthest away from the road in grass. In the winter, I follow a cold-weather walking policy for safety: if it’s too cold for me in an t shirt it’s too cold for them! Usually requests winter weather gear like boots and coat but one can be provided(washed after every use with pet safe detergent). (Black puffer and no slip socks.) Night time walking- don’t worry about the days getting darker I’ve got it covered with my reflective gear, flashlight, collar light clips, and more. About: I have been taking care of animals for roughly 13 years. We always had pets growing up and I did a lot of dog sitting in high school. I grew up on a farm so I have experience taking care of all sorts of different animals I work for a school district so I have fairly short hours during the day and have weekends off. I also have summers off as well as several random days off and full weeks here and there. I work less than half the year so I am very flexible. My house is already pet proofed with locks and baby gates. We have a dog area that is fenced in and has a doggie door connected to our screened in porch that is shaded.

About: I have worked in vet med for almost 3 years now. I started work as a kennel technician and I am now currently a veterinary assistant. I have pet sat my family and friends pets throughout the years. My one pup at home is a special needs puppy so I have some special need care as well. I have taken care of a 1-year-old cat along with 3 other adult cats, including a cat who required at least 30 minutes of playtime and interaction every day. I have also cared for a large dog who ate home-cooked soup mixed with his food at specific feeding times, as well as a husky who stayed in an air-conditioned dog house unit and required daily vitamins and attentive care. I am good at following direction for the desired care you and your pet need. I work remotely and any activities I plan I would plan around a schedule if at all with the pet in mind. About: I've had a love/passion for dogs since I was born into this life. Growing up, I've always had a dog in the house, so it easily became the norm for me. I have experience with a wide variety of breeds, including doberman, pitbulls, great dane, labs, boxers, beagles, and mutts. I truly love them all. I'm open to taking care of all breeds. I don't discriminate! One thing I will note is that I specialize in high energy/working dogs and am very familiar with larger breeds. Just to give you a quick example, I raised a Doberman from a puppy which led to me learning A LOT throughout the process. Doberman are a working breed and require plenty of mental and physical stimulation & I think I cracked the code! I’ve developed a deep understanding of what high-energy dogs need to thrive. About: It all started out with my love for animals when I was younger. I started out my career in grooming than transferred over to a veterinarian assistant and became a veterinarian technician. About: Vet technician, worked with sheltered dogs, & police K9s. I will not turn down any pet of any medical or behavioral issues. I lean towards difficult cases (medical or behavioral) with my patients knowing some may require extra responsibilities that I’m fully confident in helping in anyway I can.
