“Rita took care of my cat, Penny, twice a day while I was away on vacation. She did a great job, sent me pictures on each visit, and monitored her food intake since my cat has pancreatitis. I appreciated the time she spent with my cat to pet her and put her at ease. Would definitely recommend Rita!”

“Ashley was a wonderful sitter for our 3 cats. She quickly learned what each one liked and appealed to each one's sensibilities. Ashley also shared many great photos, and generally went an extra step in every regard to make sure our pets were taking care of and our home remained tidy. Highly recommend!”

“I’m always freaked out when I have to go out of town and leave my Winnie behind. But Emily is awesome with my skittish little cat and the pictures show me that Winnie is doing really well- eating, drinking water, enjoying getting brushed! I’m truly grateful to Emily for loving my baby girl so well!”

About: Since childhood, I've been trusted to look after other people's pets. I grew up with dogs of my own, as well as animals of all kinds, so I have a lot of experience with pets of all personalities and temperaments. I also worked with a vet for three years, have a biology degree with an emphasis on animal science, and have a special needs pet myself, so I'm confident giving medications, maintaining any recovery care, or whatever else your dog may need. I'd love to be friends with your pup! I am self-employed and currently work from home most of the week, so I have some flexibility when it comes to scheduling! I am available for drop-in visits or walks Monday-Friday. As all of my services will take place in the client's home, I will follow any instructions that the client gives me in regards to pet care. It is my goal that your pet's routine is as uninterrupted as possible.

About: Since I was young, I've been very drawn to caring for pets of all nature and have a very deep connection with dogs. From my experiences with having 2 dogs of my own to being the best aunt to my sisters’ poodles, I know that a dog really is a human's best friend. I'd love the opportunity to help others care for their best friends too! Currently, I have reduced my hours at my hospital job to an average of around 20 hours a week, thus have a lot more flexibility in my schedule and can change my work availability as needed. For the remainder of the summer, I am preparing myself to start graduate school in the fall, when I will be enrolled at GWU and living in Alexandria. As such, I am available to take on any and all services necessary to offer help in any way that I can! Though I would not be looking to house any pets in my home, I do prefer fenced yards for client's homes so that outside play can ensure safety for the pet as while as myself. If this is not feasible, I will gladly resort to playing inside (with permission from the owners), as well as traditional dog sitting indoors and frequent neighborhood walks.

“Thanks Phoenix. Reliable, got the job done well and a caring person to trust with my cat visits. I appreciate you watching my kitty kid and will be in contact again for your great services ASAP.”

“Madison was incredible! Very communicative, arrived on time and stayed the entirety of her booking, and sent me photos every day. My cat is very shy but Madison was patient with her. She was also flexible and that allowed me to extend my vacation knowing my kitty was in good hands.”

“Wenda is the best sitter we’ve used with Rover. She is my go-to for checking in on my cat when we’re out of town, and for walking our German Shepherd when we’re working late. She sends photos and detailed updates and goes above and beyond with taking care of our pets. 10/10 recommend!”

I work in Annapolis Monday through Friday and am available to help with walks, potty breaks, or drop-in visits after 4:30 PM in that area. With my knowledge of the vet field and background in animal care, I will do everything I can to make your pet comfortable and happy <3 I am working as a vet assistant to get oriented in the field and I am also writing my vet school applications this summer. I work Monday-Wednesday and every other Thursday. Occasionally I have half days on Saturday. Every day is filled with pet care for me, and I have extensive experience in the field. I would love to give the best care I can to your pet! If boarding: I have a dog named Jane who gets along with other dogs and loves people! “Jeff was perfect for us! He came by to meet our cat and us beforehand, and then fed her every day we were gone. He posted a picture every day of a fat and happy cat! He also very kindly collected our mail, and handled two food deliveries we thought were cancelled. If you are in the Shady Side area, Jeffrey should be your choice of pet sitters.”

Molly S.
“Molly watched my Lab and Labradoodle, one being a tripaw who requires assistance navigating stairs. This was my first time leaving Winston since his surgery. Molly sent me pictures and videos, which brought a smile to my face and instilled confidence that my boys were in capable hands. I can attest that Molly genuinely cares for animals and treats them with the same affection as if they were her own. Anyone who meets Molly is immediately drawn to her warm demeanor, almost as much as my dogs are. I intend to utilize Molly's services again and can assure you that your pet will receive exceptional care and affection.”
