About: I am an avid pet-loving Minnesota native who would love to watch your pet & house-sit while you are away. I moved to NM in August and can't wait to continue to meet new pets! I do exceptional dog walking, dog and cat sitting, and house sitting as needed at clients homes. I take great pride in my pet-sitting job and hold it to a high standard regarding time spent with pets, walks, and cuddles. Pet care has been a crucial part of my early twenties lifestyle. I have always been an animal lover, but cannot own a pet myself due to where I live. If I am able to watch someone's furry friends, it makes my day! I keep pets food schedules as close to what they are used to as possible, as well as stay overnight, play with them, and take them on walks. I love to explore my clients backyard when I am pet sitting, whether that be a trail to follow, a pond to walk around, or a neighborhood to admire. I am an avid walker, so we will certainty go on a long walk. I am always mindful of traffic and keep pets on their leash, unless specific directions are given. Safety is my top priority.

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs since I was 12. Ive helped friends potty train and crate train puppies. I cared for my senior dog for many years before he passed in 2024. Ive fostered animals through animal shelters as well as helped rehome friends and family pets when needed. Ive taken care of friends pets as well as family. If you have any further questions please dont hesitate to ask! (: I am a stay at home mom. We wake up early and I usually stay up late tidying and taking care of our other pets. We only leave for short periods during the day. Your pet and my children will not be left alone at anytime. I have a large fenced back yard. I also have a friendly medium sized dog named Halo who would love to keep your companion company. I can crate over night or during breaks as long as you bring an appropriate sized kennel for them. I may have one on hand if it is a weekly appointment.
“Sue was the PERFECT sitter for our pup. She’s sweet, kind, and professional. She’s easy to communicate with and took time for my dog to become comfortable. My dog seemed to love her time there, especially playing with the other sweet dog. We’re so thankful we found Sue to care for our dog.”

“Dawn was an incredible sitter. She made my normally anxious German Shepherd feel at ease and gave her a wonderful experience playing with other dogs. Would absolutely book her again.”

About: Been doing this a long time! Very experienced and welcoming to young and old. Plenty of space for your pup or your pack. Welcome to your dogs home away from home I’m retired home all day every day. I would be onsite to watch over your dog or your dog pack. Retired from public service, put in 30 years!! Fully fenced yard, doggy door, an acre to roam on. Inviting quiet neighborhood with references if needed. I’d welcome one and all to come stay with me
“Michelle was a very good companion for our dog. She sent us pictures and kept us informed during the day. Michelle played with our dog and made him comfortable in her beautiful and very clean home. I totally and completely recommend Michelle to anyone looking for help with their dog.”

We enjoy morning and evening walks around our pet-friendly apartment community, plenty of playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day to keep everyone happy and active. “We are only in Santa Fe for the weekend and Katie was willing to work with us with little notice. She clearly has a great deal of experience, was great at communicating, and our pup felt comfortable with her and her husband right away. Katie sent photos and gave us updates on how things were going throughout the day. Would happily wort with Katie again.”

“I am visiting Santa Fe from out of town, and Stephanie took care of my high-energy Labrador for the day. My dog came back to me clean and tired, and Stephanie sent me photos and updates throughout the day. I would definitely take Margot to her again!”

“My Chiweenie Bug practically jumps out of the window when we turn onto Melissa's street. Her 3 dogs are the cutest and took to my dog immediately. He comes home happy and tired, what more can you ask for? And she even gave me a recipe for the food she makes for her dogs, and Bug looooves it.”

About: I've had dogs and taken care of them since I was a young child. As an adult I’ve fostered dogs for over 5 years, taking care of all types of dogs. I have experience potty training, house breaking, bathing, and more. The dogs I have fostered came from all sorts of backgrounds; homeless, abusive households, neglected, seniors, disabled (blind, deaf, hard of hearing, missing limbs). I enjoy spending time with all animals and animals like to be around me. Currently working on my dog trainer certification I have a flexible schedule since I work from home most of the time. As a dog owner myself I spend a lot of time taking care of my dog. We go on walks 3 times a day, he gets treats, cuddles and play time all day long. On the weekends when the weather is nice we like to go for short hikes. Unfortunately I sustained a bad fall in 2024 and broke my back; so I am unable to care for any pet over 50lbs or any pet that is leash reactive or pulls on a leash. Since that would aggravate the injury and most definetely stop me from caring for pets all together; I hope you can understand! I have a small backyard where we go play fetch, we also love going to Frenchy’s or many of the other parks in the area for walks and off leash play when the weather is nice. Going for walks 2-3 times a day around the neighborhood as well
“Iosif was amazing! Great communication from start to finish sent me updates throughout the day with videos and pictures. Iosif was very careful and wanted to make sure that his dog and my dog got along and asked the appropriate questions I was traveling, but if I am in Santa Fe again, I need pet sitting he’ll be my first choice.”

About: I was very lucky to grow up in a house with many pets, including many dogs, cats, fish, and birds. I love all types of dogs from tiny shitzus, to the largest Rottweilers. I also love all cats, from the ultra-fluffy cuddlers to the lone-lions. I believe that all animals deserve loving homes and that they are essentially doing their best; and it is us as owners who can show them how to behave, communicate, and love in our hooman world. I have pet-sat for my family and friends many times over the years, and have experience in animal rehabilitation, including dogs and cats with medication needs and injuries. My partner and I have a sweet German Shepherd/Golden Retriever who we’ve raised and trained since she was a puppy, and we have a cuddly rescued turkish angora cat. They mean so much to us! I strive to give other pets the same level of love while their hoomans are away. I work remotely with a very flexible schedule. I’d be available to come feed, play, walk, and hang out with your furry friends at most hours of the day on any day of the week— and would be open to overnight stays as well! Sometimes I travel for work, in which I would let clients know in advance when I am not available. I am an excellent communicator and will be available for calls/texts and updates whenever appropriate. I will make sure to note all client details down so that I do not miss any important routines. If/when we offer boarding or day-care, we have a large fenced backyard for the pupps to play in (supervised). We ask that any dogs we board be cat-friendly, and non-aggressive.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
