About: As a life long pet owner, I have had great report with animals of all sizes. I have trained and enjoyed a kennel free environment. All my dogs have had happy lives and great disposition with kids and other animals. I will provide a safe and loving home for your dog where they will receive a ton of love and petting. I love that my dog will follow me around and look for any moment to get petting and affection; even will force my bathroom door open, knowing I am a captive audience. I look forward to doing the same for your pooch. I have walked dogs both short and long distances. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to meeting your family member (dog).
“Victoria took excellent care of our pug, Doug, for a day of daycare! She has an incredible back yard and keeps a close eye on the dogs playing with each other. I had no concerns while he was in her care, and she sent us great updates throughout the day! We will definitely use her again.”

About: I wanted a dog my whole life but my parents weren't pet people. I finally got my own dog as an adult when I also had two toddlers. It was way more work than I thought it would be, but training my puppy and watching him grow and teaching my kids about caring for a dog was so incredibly fulfilling! I loved learning about training and dog behavior and psychology and learned so much! I love all animals and especially love dogs and would love to share that love with your dog too!! I am a full time stay at home mom so my schedule is very flexible. Two of my kids are in school all day and I have a 2 year old who is home with me all day. I spend most of my time at home, with the occasional outings and errand running. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can fit your dog's schedule easily into mine. I can do potty breaks and walks whenever necessary and I live near a couple parks with dog runs that I like to take my dog to, so I could easily bring your dog as well. Though I am busy with 3 kids, I'm never too busy to love and care for extra pets! I have a fenced yard where your dog can go out for potty breaks. It is not a huge yard, but it is safe with rocks and turf where my dog uses the bathroom. My dog is inside for pretty much the whole day so your dog would be with him inside as well. I do have 3 kids, so your dog needs to be ok with small children, but they have all grown up with a dog and know how to be kind and respectful to dogs.

“Christina is a very thoughtful sitter! She has a great set up. Extra dog crates, a gate before the door so no one runs out, covered couch she lets the dogs up on, and a good little yard. My dog had a blast playing with her and other dog she was watching. We were delayed in our travels and she was very flexible! Told me not to rush and sent a ton of pictures letting me know Lyra was having a good time. She even let me book last minute with a quick meet and greet the night before. Thanks Christina!”

“What an amazing peace of mind!! My dog came back happy and so well taken care of! Will be booking again!! Thank you so much for your love and care to animals!”

“First time using a pup sitter, so definitely first time using Rover. It went great, especially since it was a last minute needed booking. Michael was just great with Rio! Thank you, Michael”

“Lisa was absolutely lovely and my shy little dog was instantly comfortable with her. Lisa is very responsive given that I had a last-minute need for doggy daycare on an on a weekend day and she got back to me very quickly which I was grateful for. She has a kind, gentle demeanor, and from the videos she sent me, I got to see her adorable little poodle socializing with my pup. Maisie, my girl, clearly enjoyed it because het tail was wagging madly when they were together in the pictures and video. I’m so glad to have found Lisa and know that there’s someone really good in the New Rochelle Mamaroneck area”

“I had such peace of mind leaving my dog with Charles for doggy daycare. Charles updated me regularly with photos and accommodated my variable drop off and pick up times. I will definitely utilize Charles again!”
“Stella loves going to see Kimberly and her new doggie friends. She is so excited to go there and cannot wait to hang out and play with her buddies.”

“I was visiting town and needed a last-minute dog daycare option, and she was fantastic. She was very responsive and took the time to meet me and my pup beforehand, which made me feel comfortable right away. My pup was tired from the day and all the activities, but she handled her with both care and confidence. She quickly became part of the pack, played with the other dogs, and came back happily exhausted. She also sent photos and text updates, which I really appreciated. I especially liked how attentive she was with my pup’s prescribed medication. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was safe, cared for, and having a great time while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“Holly was great with Loki! She picked up on his occasional anti-social attitude toward other dogs and let him stay close to her where he is more comfortable. He seemed happy when I picked him up. They were very responsive with communication and easy to make an appointment with!”

“Daycare with James was awesome! My dog Addie was very comfortable at his house and I could tell she really enjoyed being around him. James was quick to respond to any of my questions and I will definitely be booking him for daycare again soon!”

“Celeste was warm, friendly, and kind with Oreo, who is still getting used to doggy daycare. She made sure Oreo felt comfortable. Her dog Murphy was as gentle and welcoming, which really helped Oreo adjust. I’m super grateful for the care and looking forward to having Oreo stay with Celeste and Murphy again. Thank you!”

About: Caring, reliable, and experienced pet parent of a happy and lively 13-year-old male Papillon (retired champion show dog!). I have open availability in my schedule throughout the week. I would love to start taking care of new clients in Albuquerque. I especially love taking my furry friends for fun-filled long walks or having an impromptu photo shoot at your home to show off your pet. I'm comfortable with young, active pups and kittens as well as senior dogs and cats who require medication or other extra care for individual needs. I believe in creating a personalized experience for each animal, based on their preferences, activity level, and health. When I housesit, I am happy to include additional services beyond pet care, such as bringing in the mail and packages, watering plants, bringing the garbage and recycling cans around, and alternating lights to ensure it looks like someone is around while you are out of town. I have many years of experience walking dogs and pet-sitting overnight in my former hometown of Austin, TX, as well as in the Washington, DC area, with many highly satisfied repeat clients. I would be happy to have a meet and greet with you and your dog or cat (or rabbit or birds) to discuss more details! I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I have a flexible schedule. I am available throughout the day and on weekends and holidays. If you'd like me to provide some socialization for your small dog while I'm walking them, we can see if our pets get along first. I only care for one household's pets at a time. Let me know the pet rules for your home (if fur babies can sit on the bed or what else might be off limits to them). I am very careful to properly harness dogs when taking them outside. Your pet will never be left unattended while in my care.
“Brain was one of the most amazing dog sitters I’ve ever encountered. I’m a travel nurse and have a crazy work schedule and he was so easy to work with. I don’t trust my dog with many people and I would trust her with him for a month. He is incredible with the dogs and half the time my puppy didn’t even want to leave him! She absolutely loved him and I am so grateful I found him. Book him for all your needs!!!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
