“First time using a pup sitter, so definitely first time using Rover. It went great, especially since it was a last minute needed booking. Michael was just great with Rio! Thank you, Michael”

About: I wanted a dog my whole life but my parents weren't pet people. I finally got my own dog as an adult when I also had two toddlers. It was way more work than I thought it would be, but training my puppy and watching him grow and teaching my kids about caring for a dog was so incredibly fulfilling! I loved learning about training and dog behavior and psychology and learned so much! I love all animals and especially love dogs and would love to share that love with your dog too!! I am a full time stay at home mom so my schedule is very flexible. Two of my kids are in school all day and I have a 2 year old who is home with me all day. I spend most of my time at home, with the occasional outings and errand running. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can fit your dog's schedule easily into mine. I can do potty breaks and walks whenever necessary and I live near a couple parks with dog runs that I like to take my dog to, so I could easily bring your dog as well. Though I am busy with 3 kids, I'm never too busy to love and care for extra pets! I have a fenced yard where your dog can go out for potty breaks. It is not a huge yard, but it is safe with rocks and turf where my dog uses the bathroom. My dog is inside for pretty much the whole day so your dog would be with him inside as well. I do have 3 kids, so your dog needs to be ok with small children, but they have all grown up with a dog and know how to be kind and respectful to dogs.
“Brian took care of our dogs for the day at his home. He sent pictures and updates. He was very kind, respectful, and knowledgeable about dogs. He was understanding and patient with one of our dogs that was timid. We will definitely use Brian’s doggy day care service next time we’re in ABQ!”

“Victoria took excellent care of our pug, Doug, for a day of daycare! She has an incredible back yard and keeps a close eye on the dogs playing with each other. I had no concerns while he was in her care, and she sent us great updates throughout the day! We will definitely use her again.”

About: As a life long pet owner, I have had great report with animals of all sizes. I have trained and enjoyed a kennel free environment. All my dogs have had happy lives and great disposition with kids and other animals. I will provide a safe and loving home for your dog where they will receive a ton of love and petting. I love that my dog will follow me around and look for any moment to get petting and affection; even will force my bathroom door open, knowing I am a captive audience. I look forward to doing the same for your pooch. I have walked dogs both short and long distances. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to meeting your family member (dog).

“Madelyn was fantastic. She was flexible and easy to communicate with, and she took great care of our pup. If we're in Santa Fe again we won't hesitate to book her again! Thanks Madelyn!”

“Brandi is so nice and caring with her dogs and was the same with my dog, Buttercup. She helped make the introductions between Buttercup and her dogs go smoothly by slowly letting them meet each other. She sends pictures and updates throughout the day to keep you updated on the fun times your dog is having. Buttercup had a great time playing with Charlie and Jasmine. I was very reassured when I dropped Buttercup off and was very happy when I picked her up and saw how happy she was. Would definitely recommend Brandi to anyone looking for a safe, fun dog sitting experience.”

“Remy had so much fun at doggy day care with Venise! She is so sweet and loving with the pups and has a nice spacious home & yard for them to play. We are so happy we found Venise and will definitely be booking with her again!!”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs, and I have trained puppies to learn basic obedience along with tricks. I have pet-sat for family members before, and I love taking dogs for walks. I am home for the summer, from college, so I will have plenty of time to walk dogs and take care of them at home. I have a fenced in yard, and 3 friendly dogs that can keep your dog company. We have a dog door that leads from the inside of our house to the backyard, so they are free to go outside whenever they want.
“Arysta was wonderful! She helped our puppy relax and enjoy her time with other dogs, and helped me relax ? on my trip without the worry of what my fur baby was doing. Thank you, Arysta.”

“Shell is the sweetest and has helped us so much to socialize our wild puppy! She always keeps open lines of communication and is the most trustworthy dog sitter we have found. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: For more than 30 years, I have cared for my own as well as my children's pets and loved every minute of it. I am retired and I try not to take dogs from more than one family at a time. In addition, I do not currently have any pets of my own. This allows me to provide individualized and specialized care, love and attention to your pet, rather than sharing my time and attention with many pets. Your pet will be a part of the family, in a home away from home, rather than being in a small confined space while you are gone. This is one unique aspect of my pet care services that differs from many pet sitters, boarders and kennels. I own a good size ranch style home with a large fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. Before retiring, I worked as a licensed nurse for 43 years and raised two amazing successful children, during which we welcomed dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and fish into our home. I have cared for pets of friends, family, and love being a pet sitter. I am also licensed by the City of Rio Rancho to provide Dog Boarding and Pet Sitting services. I would love to care for your pets and provide them with love and companionship as if they were my own.

About: Dogs of all ages are welcome here! My wife Mandi and I are lifelong dog lovers who provide a safe, fun, and loving home for your furry family member. What sets us apart is our experience caring for dogs through every stage of life. Last year, we said goodbye to our beloved 17-year-old black Labrador, Bella. Caring for her in her senior years taught us patience, compassion, and the importance of individualized care. We are comfortable caring for puppies, active adult dogs, and seniors who may need medication, extra potty breaks, or a slower pace. We are also Airbnb Superhosts and understand the importance of trust, communication, and providing exceptional care. In addition to caring for our own dogs, we've been pet sitting for friends and family for years and genuinely love welcoming animals into our home. We share our home with our two friendly dogs, Holly and Philbert. To ensure everyone's safety and comfort, all guest dogs must be friendly and non-aggressive. We require a meet and greet to make sure all dogs are a good fit and comfortable together. You can expect plenty of love, attention, updates, and photos during your dog's stay. Our goal is simple: treat every dog like family and give you peace of mind while you're away. Pet care is already a big part of our daily life! I am home full-time, so dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and affection throughout the day. My wife Amanda and I take our dogs, Holly and Philbert, on daily walks and make sure they get lots of exercise and affection. On weekends, we love taking them on adventures such as hikes, trips to the park, dog-friendly outings, and play dates. If your dog enjoys being active, we'll do our best to keep them engaged while also respecting their individual energy level and routine. Whether your pup is an energetic explorer or a laid-back couch companion, we'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. Dogs staying in our home have plenty of space to relax, play, and feel like part of the family. We have a dedicated dog room equipped with a dog door that provides access to a secure outdoor dog run, as well as a fully fenced backyard for supervised play and exercise. For cleanliness and safety, guest dogs have access to the tiled areas of our home, including the dedicated dog space and common areas, which are easy to keep clean and comfortable for everyone. My wife Amanda and I are experienced dog owners, and I am home full-time, so dogs receive plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and exercise throughout the day. We follow each dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, crate routines, and any special care instructions. For everyone's safety, all dogs are required to complete a meet-and-greet to ensure they are a good fit with our dogs, Holly and Philbert, and our home environment. We do not leave dogs unattended for extended periods. The only exceptions would be brief errands when necessary, and dogs will always be safely secured and comfortable during that time. We provide regular updates and photos throughout your dog's stay so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, loved, and well cared for.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 238 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Santa Ana Pueblo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Santa Ana Pueblo commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
