“Whitney was the best choice I could’ve ever made or had for watching my sweet Charlie. I hadn’t ever used Rover so I was a bit nervous. Whitney kept in contact with me, sent me pics of my sweet Charlie, and went above and beyond. I couldn’t sing her praises enough! I already told her I want to rebook with her in a few months when I go out of town again. Absolutely recommend her!!”

“As always Laurie is dependable, kind with the dogs and attentive to anything unusual going on in the household or neighborhood. Great peace of mind when we're away.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life! I have grown up around dogs my whole life and I am extremely comfortable and confident around your babies! I have 8+ years of experience walking dogs as well as pet sitting! I have experience with special needs dogs as I have my own, I don’t mind cleaning cages and have experience giving oral medication. I am comfortable around all dogs no matter the size and can quickly adapt to their needs, I know what to do in stressful situations and know how to navigate situations calmly, efficiently and safely. I cannot wait to meet you guys! I am currently working a part time job and around 4-5 days a week lasting 4-5 hours, I have plenty of time to spend with your babies! I have a completely fenced in yard, as well as one very friendly dog and one friendly cat! Both of my animals are great around other animals and I take them both out in the morning, night, and usually I’ll wake up and have to take my dog out!
“Luca was amazing! We had a last minute trip and he was incredibly responsive and was able to meet up for a meet and greet very quickly. He took amazing care of our pup and our home for a few days while we were out of town. He sent frequent updates and pictures and overall was very communicative. Our dog was happy and our house was cleaner than we left it! 15/10, we will absolutely be using Luca again in the future and I recommend you do too!”

“Martina stayed in our home with our dog for a few days and took incredible care of him. Our dog had recently had TPLO knee surgery and was also recovering from an infection that was in his suture area. She gave him his daily medications, applied warm compresses on his leg each day, kept him leashed for daily backyard walks as directed by our vet so that he wouldn’t run or jump on his new knee, sent us updates and photos, and stayed near him while he had to continue wearing an e-collar. She gave him supervised time so he didn’t have to wear the “cone of shame” 24/7. We had incredible peace of mind while we were away knowing he was in such good hands. The house was as clean or cleaner than we had left it.”

“Excellent care of my pet and he was so happy. She kept my fresh as well Sent daily pictures and made my Digs tail wag. I will use every time I need a sitter. Beautiful person.”

“Amber took good care of our pets. This was our first time using rover and a non family member to take care of our pets while away. Amber made me feel at ease and was really sweet and patient with our pets.”

“Alicia was amazing. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the day and helped us out with a last minute trip. The dogs seemed to love her and they were well taken care of.”

“Michelle did an excellent job of caring for our Labrador and two cats in our home. She was very communicative and kept in touch with us the whole 10 days we were gone. She sent photos and little updates. She made sure the dog got regular walks, even taking him hiking one day! She also left the house spotless. She really went above and beyond! She clearly loves and cares for animals! Trustworthy , dependable and she’s great to work with! I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, giving me firsthand experience with their unique personalities, needs, and proper care. More recently, I was a member on another pet sitting website when I was a student at a university in Paris,France, where I had experience taking care of dogs and cats in my own apartment for a few different families for a period of time. The best part about watching pets is the pleasure I get from being able to give them love while their owners were away. I’ll be home in New Mexico for a few months before I return to Paris so my availability is completely open. I can watch pets any day and any hour. I’ll closely follow a pets routine, providing fresh water, food as instructed, exercise/playtime, medication if needed, a safe environment, and of course lots of love and affection.
“Lorie was great with our two standard poodles. She let us tell her all about thier weird needs and didn't judge us. We felt very comfortable and we're able to really enjoy ourselves without worrying about our boys.”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love and respect for animals of all kinds. Caring for them isn’t just a job to me—it’s something I truly enjoy and take seriously. I have extensive experience around dogs through my father, who breeds and trains dogs for protection sports, so I’m comfortable and confident handling dogs of all sizes, including large and high-drive breeds. I’m patient, attentive, and always focused on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m also passionate about learning more about canine behavior and training, with the long-term goal of becoming a certified dog trainer and participating in dog shows. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, some extra attention, or simply a calm and caring companion, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and am available most days and times. I’m happy to work around your routine and accommodate your pet’s needs. I am really good at communicating any schedule changes. I care for every pet with patience, attention, and respect for their individual personality and routine. In my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, exercise, affection, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, walks, playtime, and any special routines. My goal is to give pets the same love, structure, and attention they receive from their own family.
About: I'm a Vet tech assistant for Internal Med! I've been working with animals professionally for the last 4 years. I'm not shy about helping if your pet has special considerations. I work full time in a vet clinic and I'm looking to spend my extra time outside of my daughter and work to help out. Weekends tend to be the best for me but if other times are needed I fan be flexible. Tbisbis case specific. Depending on the needs of the pet itbcan be crating, walking feeding, and interacting with them. If there special medical needs then I would ask that to be disclosed and I can accommodate. If there's behavioral issue that can be discussed on how best to help. I dont feel there's a 100 percent catchall approach other than to be patient and alert with our (usually) furry friends.
“Mariah was amazing! Lots of communication and pictures. Kept the dogs and chicks well watered, fed and happy. Took amazing care of the house while staying here in our home. We will use her always if we can! Highly recommend Mariah! We love her and so did our pets❤️”

“Sierra stayed at our house to watch our dog. She took great care of him while we were away. Our home was just as we left it and our dog was fed and happy when we returned. Thank you!”

“Juan did a great job with our boy. We got updates and pictures and he was very responsive to any messages we sent while we were away. Took great care of the house as well!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 625 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Santa Ana Pueblo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Santa Ana Pueblo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Santa Ana Pueblo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Santa Ana Pueblo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Santa Ana Pueblo. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 91% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
