“Kelle was so thoughtful and caring toward our kitty while we were away for the week. She sent the most thorough updates and so many pictures that we looked forward to every day! We are so grateful to know Smelly Cat had the absolute best staycation while we were away. Kelle was also so generous in her willingness to water some of our seedlings during her check-ins. We will hire her again in a heartbeat! Thanks Kelle!”

14. Kristine T.
“Kristine took care of our two cats in our home south of Santa Fe. Just before the sit started our Nikki ate some almonds and they got stuck in her small intestine that required surgery to remove. Kristine took it in stride and monitored the incision sending us photos so we knew that Nikki was doing well. I certainly intend to invite Kristine back. She was very easy to deal with and did all she said she would.”

About: If you have a pet that you wish you could get more exercise, I can help with that. I’ll take your dog for 15 minutes. I’ll take your dog for 4 hours! I grew up in Los Alamos so I know the area very well. I am a nursing student who has a relatively flexible schedule and loves excused to procrastinate. I grew up with both dogs and cats and have experience house sitting for surrounding neighbors. I have experience with oral medication for both dogs and cats, and I can even give your pet a bath! I know my schedule a good amount before hand so feel free to reach out about services whenever! I can walk morning afternoon or evening. I am very detail oriented and follow instructions great! I am caring and patient with animals. Animals typically warm up to me quickly. My goal is to make you and your pet make the most out of these beautiful sunny New Mexico days!
17. Jess C.

About: I currently have 3 dogs (pitbull, red healer, chihuahua). Professionally worked at a doggie daycare and I just have a very sensitive heart for dogs/cats. I have another gig job ( I deliever for Amazon) so I can be very flexible. I really enjoy the freedoms of making my own schedules. My home sits on a state highway, so I am very vigilant about secure fencing. I do not allow my own dogs to be outside unless I am home.

About: For the majority of my life, I had wanted to become a veterinarian, and it is only in the past few years that I changed my career choice. I have a 15 year-old pug-beagle mix named Luna and I also had two guinea pigs for 5 of those years. Starting around age 10, I also took care of neighbors’ and friends’ cats and dogs, including walking, feeding, petting, and playing with them. I'm temporarily living with my family due to COVID, but my dog is very old and I can't take her on long walks anymore. I am very active, so I can take on rambunctious animals, but as I said, my dog is very old, so I am also experienced with older, slower animals as well. I am currently filling out paperwork and doing onboarding tasks for my new position with the BLM beginning in March. Until then, I have nearly no plans and would like to spend some time with animals and make a little money on the side. I live in a House with a large backyard, well suited for most pets. I am also a very active person, so walking and/or running is a normal activity for me that I would love to have the company of a dog for.
