About: I’ve had dogs of all kinds since I was born and haven’t known life without one by my side. In 2020 my lifelong golden retriever / corgi mix, Goldie, passed away, and since then I have been without a pet. In hopes to reconnect to animals I would like to channel my love into others’ pets. I believe there are countless invaluable lessons we can all learn from paying more attention towards animals. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design last June, I moved back home to Athens. My parents have a Great Pyrenees named Patch who I help care for, but other than that I have plenty of free time and consistent availability during the week/weekends. I am flexible and willing to adjust to your needs. I can easily adapt to any setup you may have at your home in which you would prefer your pet to stay. I understand the importance of routine and how that can keep your pets comfortable even if you are away. Unfortunately I do not yet have the space to host pets at my home.

“Wow! So thankful for you, Dena! You send incredible updates of the adventures/details of your visit with my puppy! He really appreciates the time you spend with him! We’re so thankful for the bones you left us, they’re saving my fingers :) I appreciate that you are so respectful of our space, and that you have been working on the training cues we’re learning from our trainer. I couldn’t be happier with your help, communication, and care for Klaus! We are so thankful that we found you!”

About: I grew up with doberman pinchers, my last dog was a cockapoo, and I've cared for every sized dog in between. I believe lots of exercise, praise, pets, and treats make happy dogs. I'm experienced in medication administration and I have a fully fenced yard. I work part-time (mostly) from home so I'll be able to play, go for walks, and be flexible to accommodate the needs of your dog. Whether your dog is high energy or laid back, they'll be content in my care. I do not currently have any pets but I have lots of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds to chase in my fully fenced back yard. I live in a great area for walks, and if they are the adventurous kind, we can even venture into the canyon! I have two kids who are usually in school from 8pm to 2:30pm. They are 4 and 8 years old and will play with any willing dog.

About: I adore animals, but as a single person and a renter, it hasn’t been the right time to have my own yet. Whatever the needs of your pets are, I can provide loving care for them in your home. I have cared for cats and dogs, young and old, and am comfortable administering medications. In terms of diet and exercise, I will adhere to whatever guidelines you say are best. In addition to caring for your pets, I am happy to look after your plants and garden as well. My goal is for both you and your pets to be at ease while you are separated. I am a good communicator and will keep you updated to the level of your liking during my stay. I spend my summers working in Alaska and have a flexible schedule while in Santa Fe. I enjoy exploring new neighborhoods and would love the company of your sweet pet 😊 I am calm, attentive, and will cater activities to suit your pet’s needs. If your pup likes walks or the park— great! If couch hangs and lap snuggles are more their speed— wonderful, I’ll bring a book!

About: That title quote was from a former employer, owner of a pet care company. She turned to me when all else failed. Best compliment, ever! (Traveling for clients now. Please get in touch for pricing.) I meet with first time clients to get the lay of the land. We go over everything from vet contact info, to the everyday things- food, exercise, the chasing of squirrels. :) Schedule is tailored to your munchkins needs. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to come and go when doing overnights. We can discuss. I do not do boarding. I only sit in my clients homes, where their pets are usually the happiest. Just like us! (Their own bed, blankie and bowl!)

About: I have taken care of my own pets and my neighbors pets ever since I was little and I can promise you I have lots of experience in taking care of pups and young pet adults. My daughter has had experience as well she has had rabbits, hamsters, a dog and cats as well, she grabbed her dog since he was 2 weeks old from a dumpster and cared for him. She taught him many important manners and tricks. I’m currently working at a part time job I will have time to play, feed, or petsit your pet and I will treat it like my own. I have a daughter who will work with me and will take care of your pets as well. Near my apartment there is a fenced, pet friendly park. I have a daughter that will help me and a friendly dog. I promise your pet will have fun and will be safe during our care service.

About: I'm a senior cat and dog adoptee, and I have worked with all types of special care including pills, raw diets, special litter, and disability care. I'm an online masters student in Applied Physics, so I am looking to fill in my time while I wait for internship matches for the next year. I'm willing to do upwards of 5 visits a day, especially if they're close to me. This will fit nicely into my routine as it will help me break from my work in a way that allows me to absorb and understand the material I'm learning. I'm a huge animal advocate, I've actually was a long term volunteer for my humane society before moving to Los Alamos, and I am very strict about my own cat's care. I want to be able to give your pets the same care I give mine. In my home, the senior animals are king. I definitely spoil my babies as needed, making sure to keep them as comfortable as possible. Plenty of space to play, climb, walk, etc. are all a vital part of my care.

About: Lifelong compassionate caregiver of all ages and sizes. Detail-oriented, patient homebody with time to care and land to roam. Queer folks and women first but all welcome! 🌈🐾 I work part-time remote. My schedule bends to the needs of your pets. I do not board pets from different households at the same time. Fenced, secure yard; dog-proof indoors; separate spaces if needed, otherwise plenty of clean, cozy common area. Frequent yard time and walks. Experienced with senior care, medications (including injections), patience for puppies, and love for all canines!

“Susan was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond in walking our dog this week. She’s even helping us to learn how to get him to pull less. It was so nice to know that our dog was in good hands.”

About: Ive taken care of dogs since I was 10. I’m a big dog lover and I’ve had three of my own at home and miss them dearly. I love to go on long walks or just play and chill. I’m a student but I’m basically free all week besides when I have class! I can also just hang out with your dog while I do homework. I have a front yard and a great space for taking dogs on a walk. I also have a room that fits a crate if that’s preferable!

About: I am an avid pet-loving Minnesota native who would love to watch your pet & house-sit while you are away. I just moved to NM and can't wait to meet new furry friends in a new state. I do dog walking, dog and cat sitting, and house sitting as needed at clients homes. Pet care has been a crucial part of my early twenties lifestyle. I have always been an animal lover, but cannot own a pet myself due to where I live. If I am able to watch someone's furry friends, it makes my day! I keep pets food schedules as close to what they are used to as possible, as well as stay overnight, play with them, and take them on walks. I love to explore my clients backyard when I am pet sitting, whether that be a trail to follow, a pond to walk around, or a neighborhood to admire. I am an active runner, so if your pet likes to run, we can certaintly hit the road and get out some energy! I am always mindful of traffic and keep pets on their leash, unless specific directions are given. We will go on a great adventure, but safety is my top priority.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life including Great Danes, cats, bunnies, gerbils, fish and have been dog and cat sitting professionally for three years. Recently I lived and worked on a thousand-acre farm caring for cows, horses and goats, doing everything from feeding, cleaning and even bottle feeding. Bottom line is I love pets, and would love to meet your four-legged family members!! I currently work from my computer so I am very mobile and happy to be flexible with scheduling, etc. I love spending time with all animals so I make it a priority to fit this kind of work in. *If you have multiple pets and my site is quoting a large number for your sitting request, please know I am happy to look closer and find a good price for all! If I am giving care at your home my number one priority is your animal’s safety. That’s best implemented by focusing on your (the owner’s) rules and daily routines. Once I establish that, I focus on creating a special bond with your pet—it’s like they’re getting a new friend. If I’m boarding at my house my number one priority is to create a new and special routine that reflects their home routine but with new special elements. I have a very large yard and a safe neighborhood to take pets on walks, and as long as they are happy sharing space with a cat we have a really good time!
