“Hannah was incredible! She has such a way with dogs. You can tell from the moment you meet her, that she is just the most warm and caring person, and that extends to all the furry friends, too. She was flexible, asked all the pertinent questions, sent daily updates, and I loved all the pictures she sent. I would absolutely trust her to take care of my dog again. Highly highly recommend!”

“Michael took great care of our sweet 11-yo dog, Jenny! This was our first time using Rover and Michael made it a great experience. Jenny was happy and we received many photos while we were gone. Thank you!”

“Leanne was wonderful with Ella! Ella loved having built in play buddies and lots of attention from Leanne. The communication was great and I felt confident my dog was well cared for during her stay. We will definitely use Leanne again!”

“Kyle did an amazing job with Merlin! He watched him for about a week during our family’s move, and with her to send pictures and videos to keep us updated while we missed him. Great communication! We highly recommend Kyle”

“We had a wonderful experience with Balaji. We needed a sitter for our two week international trip and were nervous because this was our one-year-old toy poodle's first time being away from us. From the very beginning, Balaji reassured us that our dog would be well cared for. He even offered a short trial stay at his home so our dog could become familiar with the environment before the boarding stay. During that two hour trial stay, Balaji sent us photos and videos, which gave us confidence that our dog was comfortable and in good hands. Throughout the two week boarding period, Balaji sent multiple photos and videos every day, allowing us to see that our dog was comfortable and receiving good care. He was also very responsive and replied to our messages very quickly. Knowing that our dog was in such caring hands made it much easier for us to enjoy our trip. We highly recommend Balaji to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!”

“Yamile and her family and her pets have just been amazing. Yamile is Extremely responsive, followed a special diet, took her for walks , gave me frequent updates and generally took great care of my little girl while we were away!!! In fact she seemed sad to leave when it was time for her to come home. We have already booked a follow up stay!! Thanks yamile - you have been a life saver:)”

“My puppy absolutely loved Cecilia! He’s very timid and never done well with overnight boarding kennels. This is the first time I’ve had total peace of mind leaving him at someone’s home. The updates went above and beyond! Thank you so much again Cecilia- Happy absolutely loves you and definitely will be coming back again soon! ?”

“If I could give six stars, I would. This is the first time we used Rover and Leigh and Richard could not have been more wonderful. I received daily pictures and updates on how my pup was doing and I don’t think he wanted to leave when I came to get him! I would highly recommend them.”

“Prithvi and Varun were truly great!! This was our first time using Rover, and we were unsure of the whole process. Prithvi walked us through everything, we had a great meet and greet, and they were so responsive. We just finished our booking and every day we got updates and pictures, and immediate responses. I felt so comfortable having my dog with them, and plan on using them again. Very positive and great experience!”

“Jean is caring and very attentive to my dog. She gave multiple updates throughout his time there and paid attention to his behavior and asked questions. Very highly recommended”

“Luciana took care of our 11 year old Beagle overnight and took extra special care of him. He enjoyed some yummy treats and a morning walk and plenty of yard time. We will definitely rebook again! Thank you!”

“Jae and her family were amazing to my sweet puppy. I could not have asked for a better family to take care of my dog; we felt absolutely blessed to have such a perfect home when we were gone. The entire family treated her like she was part of the family, and I always felt comforted on my vacation to receive pictures of my dog enjoying her days with her interim family. I will absolutely only use Jae now. And our dogs have become great friends too, so what an incredible bonus!”

“Michelle did a great job with Bailey. She is very reliable and has a good system in place for caring for dogs. I like that she doesn’t take in a lot of dogs at once. I received updates with lots of pictures of Bailey. We are grateful that Bailey could play with other dogs and be in a safe home while we were out of town for the weekend. We would definitely use Michelle again!”

About: Growing up, my mother would buy and sell dogs. It was quite traumatic. I vowed to be better than her. I've had my dog Odin for 8 years, and I will happily care for your pet as well. Fortunately, my trauma is your gain. I'm well versed on most dog breeds and I know how to research breeds if something comes up. You can sit back and relax because my care for your dog will be the best. My commute is only 15mins away. So I take care of the dogs in the morning, then I care for them again on my lunch break. Then again after work and throughout the night with my own dog, Odin. I have several dog beds and comfy spaces for them to rest. I have a zone in my home that is for dogs only. They can grab a toy from the toy box or they can look out the balcony window as shades are always open for your pupper!
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Long Grove is $50
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Long Grove
Kyle was great to work with! Our Goldendoodle had a great stay while we were out of town. She had a tendency to have a hard time settling in the first few days with a new sitter, but she settled right in with Kyle and his family. He sent pictures every day, and had a great house in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of places for nice walks. I’d definitely book with Kyle again in the future!

We couldn't have been happier with the care our two Shih Tzus received during their 9-day stay. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. One thing we especially appreciated was the regular updates. Yuliia sent adorable photos and videos almost every day, along with the sweetest comments about what the dogs were doing and how they were settling in. It meant so much to us while we were away and really helped us feel connected to them. It's clear that she genuinely loves dogs and treats them like family. Our pups were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. We would absolutely trust her with them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter.

Jessie and Jeeps (her dog) were fantastic! She was accommodating with our dogs routine and walked him many times each day. She was extremely communicative and sent many pictures which made me as a dog mama feel so much more comfortable using rover for the first time. Highly recommend Jessie to watch your pups!

Stephanie is the ABSOLUTE BEST! My pup is high anxiety and didn't do well at those fancy pet resorts. Stephanie made sure he was well cared for while we were out of the country for 2 weeks. She asked that I write down his daily routine so she can closely stick to his schedule. She also sent daily updates and photos to ease my mind knowing how tough it was for me to be away for a long period. Knowing she is studying to be a veterinary assistant was icing on the cake. My pup definitely loved spending time with her and was attached to her warm and caring personality from the very beginning. I highly recommend booking her for all of your pet sitting needs. I will definitely book her again!

This was Theodore’s first time staying with someone new, and Debi made it an excellent experience. She was caring, attentive, and kept us updated with photos and messages. Theodore came back happy and relaxed - clearly well cared for. We’ll definitely book with Debi again!
