About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember, starting with Ginger, my family's German shepherd and husky mix, four cats, fish, and pet rodents growing up. I later spent about two years volunteering at my local SPCA, working hands-on with dogs of every size and temperament, from bouncy puppies to nervous rescues. I've also had cats of my own as an adult, including two rescues, and fostered kittens before I started traveling. Since then I've cared for pets through farm stays and housesits across Costa Rica, Panama, Spain, and Canada — dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, a donkey, as well as an adult pet rabbit. 😊 I'm comfortable administering medication, working with anxious or senior animals, and managing multi-pet households. I'm calm, attentive, and treat every home and animal I look after like my own. I'm currently transitioning to the San Mateo County area temporarily starting early November and building my schedule around pet care full-time, so I have plenty of flexibility for house sits, and daily visits, including extended or last-minute stays. I don't currently have a conflicting 9-to-5, which means I can commit fully to a pet's normal routine for the length of a booking rather than fitting care in around other work. Since I focus on house sitting, I stay at your home rather than asking your pet to adjust to a new environment. I follow feeding, medication, and walking routines exactly as instructed, keep the house clean and secure, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I don't bring other pets into the home, so your animal gets my full attention for the whole stay.

About: Hi folks, I’m Hannah. My pets are a part of my chosen family. They each have their own quirks, preferences, attitudes, and personalities. I’d be honored to bring your furry family member into our lives! I’ve had many different pets over the last 20 years: parakeets (Lucy and Ricky), gerbils (Louis and Clark), dogs (Lilly, Iggy, Olive, Stella, Dexter, Pearl), and cats (Charlie, Baby Boy). We love to walk and hike throughout the bay area, run the beach, teach tricks, sunbathe in the yard, play with the very many (too many!) toys strewn about our house, and cuddle in front of the fire pit. I’d love to know more about your pet to ensure they are safe and happy and that I’m providing the best kind of care catered to them. Are they shy? Friendly? Aloof? Nervous? Mischievous? Do they need a little more love to make sure they are comfortable? How many daily walks is ideal for their energy level? Do they get specific meals and meds to protect their health? We have a lovely fenced yard for our pups to run around and frolic in, as well as a doggy door so they can go out at their leisure. I like to take my dog on 2 walks a day (gotta check their pee-mails!) and there is a dog park within walking distance of our house should your pup prefer to run around freely. I worked as a dog sitter and walker in NYC for five years, raised my own puppy from 8 weeks old. Then traveled to the West, housesitting my way across the country from VA to CA, OR and CO. I provide daily photo and video updates of your pets and can make framed prints available to order. I have had pets in the home since I was a child, including birds and hamsters as well as cats, kittens and dogs. I am currently looking for summer work, having worked as a Ski Instructor all winter in Arapahoe Basin. When housesitting, it is my principal job and priority. I do not currently offer care for a pet in my home, unless of course, they are happy living and traveling in my Class C motorhome.
