“First time using Rover and Allison was very helpful! She listened to all requests for the spoiled fur babies and asked great additional questions. She was an excellent sitter and left detailed notes on care and sent update photos. My kitties were well cared for and got to do a little bird watching and toy time. Very happy with my experience!”

“Abby did drop-in visits for our cat while we were away for a week and she was wonderful! She was so friendly from when we first met her, kept us updated, and took great care of our cat. Thank you Abby!!”

“Phyllis, AKA PJ, is awesome! We immediately liked her as soon as we met her. She’s so nice and personable and was great with our dogs. Willow, our goldendoodle, was immediately in love with her. She took great care of our 4 dogs and followed all instructions perfectly! We got photos and updates on time and knew that all our pets were well taken care of! We would 100% use PJ again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs ranging from 10 pounds to 160 pounds my entire life. I have owned chihuahua dachshund mix, akitas, huskies, and German shepherds; so I understand big breeds as well as smaller ones. I have helped family members and neighbors with their dogs growing up with house sitting and dog walking. I know how important furbabies are to families, and treat each and every one as I would my own. I currently work full time with every other Monday off. I go to work about 7 am and get home about 430 pm. I do have volleyball leagues on Monday Wednesday and Friday nights that I am gone for 2 hours between 6-11pm as it varies based on game time. I love to hike and be outside so taking the dogs for walks a non issue. I treat all furbabies as if they were my own. I adjust my schedule accordingly to accommodate the animals as best as I can. I have given insulin shots and medication to animals and am comfortable with it.
“Indiana was awesome! Great communication leading into the visits and throughout, nice pictures of the pets (which my kids really enjoyed), and the pets were well cared for. Plus her rate was very fair. I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting near Chester and look forward to having Indiana care for our pets again!”

“So sweet to my cat! He was well taken care of and I truly appreciated her presence in my absence. I could tell he really loved her and it truly put my mind at ease while I was out of town.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My oldest fur baby (cat) will be turning 20 this year. I also have two small dogs that are 15 and 11 years old. I love animals. I’m currently a full time student. So I can come and love on your fur babies for you while you are away on a trip or at work. Pets are welcomed in my home and are treated with respect. All animals deserve love and attention. I can love on them for you while you are at work or on a trip.
“Hana is amazing! She’s so flexible and understanding when it comes to schedules and demands of each animal in the home. She truly cares about our animals (she will leave our tv on for our dog so she isn’t lonely) and does enrichment treats without us even asking her to. I trust her with our babies 100%”

“We absolutely love how Tiffany takes great care of our little ones! She always updates us with fun & loving pictures. She is also very quick to respond with any questions or concerns & always on time!”

“Jessica has dropped by on my pupsters on two separate occasions, and I would trust her anytime I need some help. She always provides adorable updates and is communicative. The pups have a great time with her. I will book Jessica everytime if she's available!”

“Grace sent us lovely updates and pictures of our cats each day which made being away much easier. The cats were well played with and barely seemed to notice when we returned 🤣.”

“Jo is amazing!! My dogs are highly anxious and do not take well to strangers in my home but they absolutely love her! When I used to leave for work they would be depressed but now they aren’t, they actually start playing when I leave which is comforting as I am an anxious dog mom. I trust my dogs with a total of four people and Jo is one of them. She is always so polite and respectful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Michelle was great with my dog. We met ahead of time and I felt great about having her drop in while we were away. My dog got the break he needed and some playtime and treats as well. I would definitely recommend Michelle and would rebook next time I need someone.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Locust Grove
Darnell is exceptional and I can’t thank him enough for all the care and love he gave our cat babies. This was the first time we used this service, and we will definitely use this service again. Darnell sent us pictures every day, two times per day, and he went above and beyond. We also received a report card with cute little notes about our furry children. Thank you Darnell!

We had a great experience with Jessica and will definitely use her anytime we need a cat sitter. We were away for 5 days and she took excellent care of our 8 cats (including two 4 month old kittens). Jessica was very communicative and kept us informed if anything happened. After every visit, she sent photos of each cat and gave a summary of how the visit went. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about our babies and was attentive to their individual needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Locust Grove. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
