About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 11 years, starting when I adopted my first pup. Since then, I’ve welcomed multiple rescue dogs into my home, each with their own unique personality and needs. Today, I share life with 3 wonderful dogs — two of them seniors — along with 3 cats and a pair of friendly rats, so I’m experienced in multi-pet households. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments — from energetic puppies who need training reinforcement to senior dogs who move at a gentler pace. I’m comfortable with large and small breeds, administering medications, and following specific feeding and care routines. Whether your dog needs daily walks, drop-in visits, or in-home pet sitting, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for. My goal is to give you peace of mind while providing your dog with the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy dog sitter and walker, I’d love to meet your pup and become their new favorite friend. I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can easily accommodate your pet’s routine. Whether your dog needs a midday walk, your cat prefers morning playtime, or your senior pet requires multiple short visits throughout the day, I can be there when they need me. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, regular check-ins, and care tailored to your pet’s specific needs. Weekdays, weekends, and even last-minute requests are often possible — just reach out and I’ll do my best to make it work. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow your instructions closely to maintain their normal routine and minimize stress. I’ll make sure doors, gates, and enclosures are secure at all times, keep a close eye during walks or play, and ensure fresh water and a safe environment before I leave. I respect your home as much as I respect your pets — I’m mindful of cleanliness, careful with your belongings, and always lock up securely when I go. I’m comfortable handling keys, access codes, and any special instructions for alarms or entry. With years of hands-on experience and a deep love for animals, you can feel confident that your pets are in safe, caring, and trustworthy hands while you’re away.
“Amanda has been such a gem while taking care of my cat Mochi! They give great updates each visit and communications with them is a breeze. I would recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone who is attentive, caring, and very responsible. I felt great leaving my kitty in Amanda’s care!”

“Kaya was an amazing find!! We had family in town and booked with her about two weeks ahead of time. We ended up changing plans and she was so accommodating to switching times. I sooo appreciate her and would definitely use her again!!”

“Isabella has done an excellent job. She showed up on time, followed our feeding instructions precisely, and spent great quality time with our boys (dogs). They love it when she drops by for a visit and some outdoor playtime. We are very appreciative and fortunate to have had Isabella's help. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a sitter or walker.”
“Patrick took the time to meet our dogs and learn their routine. He arrived as scheduled and gave the dogs a much needed afternoon break outside. We will definitely use him again.”

About: I have taken care of many animals in my life. From cats and dogs, all the way to being able to work on horses, cattle, and even small animals. I currently work in a vet clinic. I do work 12 hours days some days of the week, but love taking care of all pets. So if your pet needs specific meds you can count on me to give them properly and on time! I enjoy being to love on pets inside and outside the clinic! I am in school full time. But I only have half days so I can take your kids out in the morning and I’m back by 1. And I do work a full day Tuesday. Since I am in an apartment building I don’t have a yard, but I will gladly take your kids on a walk through old town or to the close parks.
“We needed a drop in last minute. Madeline came the morning of to meet everyone then returned in the evening to take care of our dogs. She went above and beyond and did a great job. We have a special needs dog and she was able to meet her needs which was amazing. Highly recommend Madeline if you need care for your pets.”

“Jeni was a huge help! We need someone who could visit twice a day to put ointment in our cat’s eye and Jeni was available. She came over that night to meet our cat and took over the next day. She shared pictures of our cat every visit so we could track the infection. We wholeheartedly recommend Jeni!”

About: I have been dog sitting since I was 14, and I absolutely love it! I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages and sizes- though I am biased to senior pups (I love their powdered sugar faces!) I have experience caring for dogs with health conditions and mobility challenges too. I love animals and I always go above and beyond in my care of pets. I am currently working full time, though my job is flexible and I am often able to work remotely. I can check on pets in the morning, midday, evening, and before bed. When caring for pets in a clients home, I believe that I am also caring for your home! I make sure to keep the home clean and tidy while caring for your pet. When caring for pets in a clients home, I make sure to follow any house rules (even if it pains me not to let pups on the sofa) and make sure to adhere to your pets routine. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure that they are safe and comfortable being in a new space. I’ll make sure they have their toys, blankets, and treats so that they feel as relaxed as possible for their stay. I’ll also make sure that I accommodate any specific routines that your pet has.
“Outstanding pet sitter. I have an incredibly timid cat and Taylor was able to coax her out for cuddles. He even managed to give her some medication while I was gone. Great communication and pictures of my baby! Above and beyond!”

About: I am very passionate about animals. So much so that I’m even studying to be a zoologist! I’ve had pets since I was 9 and have petsit since I was 11. I’ve owned a dog, cats, lizards, amphibians, and fish! I’m happy to petsit for any animal. I’m currently on summer break so I am basically free whenever you need me! Although, once I start school in mid August, I will only be available on weekends or nights. My goal is to have a safe, happy, healthy, tired, and full pet by the end of our playtime! When I’m petsitting my attention is 100% focused on your pet. I like to send photo updates too!🐱🐶🦎

About: Hi, I'm 21 and I've spent the last 8+ years working with kids and families—most recently as an Assistant Program Director at a YMCA summer camp. That job taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and caring for living things that can't always tell you what they need. That mindset carries right over to how I care for animals. I grew up with pets and have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cats with big personalities, and a few small critters too. I'm comfortable with walking, feeding, medication schedules, and handling the occasional mess or emergency without panicking. When I'm watching your pet, I treat your home with the same respect I'd want someone to treat mine. I'm happy to bring in mail, water plants, and leave the place cleaner than I found it—it's just part of the deal for me. I'm currently visiting family in Cincinnati with a wide-open schedule before a summer road trip, so I'm especially available for short-term sits, weekend care, and last-minute needs. I'll send you photos and updates so you never have to wonder how things are going back home. Let me know if your pet has any quirks, routines, or special needs—I'd love to meet them and make sure they feel safe and loved while you're away. Right now I'm between jobs and visiting family in Cincinnati, so my schedule is completely open. Pet care is my main focus—I'm available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights, weekdays and weekends. I can build my day around your pet's routine instead of trying to squeeze them into a busy calendar. Walks, feedings, playtime, and just hanging out so they're not lonely—whatever rhythm your pet is used to, that's the rhythm I'll follow. I provide care exclusively in my client's home, where pets feel most comfortable and secure. I follow your instructions closely—feeding schedules, medication, leash protocols, doors and gates kept secure—and I treat your home with total respect. I'll send regular photo updates so you always know your pet is safe and happy. If anything seems off with your pet's behavior or health, I'll reach out immediately. Your pet's well-being and your trust are the most important things to me.
“Richard did a wonderful job on the drop-in visits. He proved himself to be a real neighbor, spending time with my senior dogs and making sure they eat their meals. When thunderstorms came through, knowing how jittery they get, he made sure they were safe and in the house until the storms blew through. Thank you, Richard! You helped out in so many ways, all the reviews I’ve read about you were all true! Looking forward to letting you take care of my girls the next time!”

“Hailey has been so great with our new puppy! We have used her regularly for the past 3 months to check in on the pup during our longer work days. He is noticeably more tired and well-behaved on the days she comes as she helps relieve some of his energy. I don't feel bad stopping at the gym after work instead of rushing home when she checks on him. Thanks Hailey!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for over thirteen years. Experienced in giving medication, in training, going on walks, giving baths, playing, and cuddles. I have availability for any pet care needs Sunday- Saturday. I am willing to stay overnights for a safer more relaxed boarding experience for pets. I currently work 6 hours Monday-Friday, at Pups on the Poudre Grooming. I am able to take off any time with enough notice I have pet watched for family, friends, and clients for thirteen years. Each stay is different depending on the pets needs and energy. However, for all visits we do go on one on one walks for quality outside time, and an hour outside play time. Plenty of treats for good behavior and training purposes. As well as watching my friends dogs, I also take care of my roommates two cats and one dog at home that love to cuddle, play, and explore the fenced in back yard.
About: As a sitter, what sets me apart from others is my extensive experience in the field, having spent four years in boarding facilities. I take pride in my ability to cater to the unique needs of senior dogs and cats and special-needs pets, ensuring they receive the utmost care and attention. My expertise extends to all breeds of dogs and cats, making me well-equipped to handle any furry friend that comes my way. Most importantly, I approach every animal I care for with an unwavering commitment to treat them as if they were my very own, showering them with love and affection throughout their stay. Your beloved pets will be in caring and capable hands with me as their sitter. I do have a part-time job, but I never work more than 7 hours and in the afternoon. I do not work Saturday-Tuesday! If you think we’d be a good fit message me! I have two kittens of my own! They each have their own space and their own care provider. We have a fenced in yard that the kittens like to go outside in!

As of August 2026, there are 811 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Livermore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Livermore. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
