About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life, so I know how to take care of pets. I help take care of our current pets, a 17 year old dog and a cat with medicine. I’m a big animal lover (I have a degree in Animal Ecology) so I’ll be happy to sit for your pet! I usually work 2-6:30 around 4 times a week, sometimes working the full day (which I mark on my schedule). Outside of this timeframe I am available! I’m not able to keep pets at my house, unfortunately, but I am able to visit with your pet at your home and take care of them there.

This was our first time working with Olivia. While we have four cats she checked on, the main client for her was a disabled foster dog who’s been through a lot and can be difficult (because of her disabilities). She handled putting her harness on like a champ (which is even difficult for us) and gave her plenty of snuggles and had marvelous patience. When you book time with her for your pets she makes sure to use it all which we appreciated. The cats didn't need attention this time around but our foster dog needed it covers much and watching them interact showed me that our dog was also comfortable with Olivia and that’s very important to us.

We had an amazing experience! She took wonderful care of our guinea pigs and tropical frog while we were on vacation, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly reliable, friendly, and communicated with us throughout our trip, sending updates and pictures so we knew our pets were happy and well cared for. It was clear she genuinely cared about them, and we came home to healthy, happy pets. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our little animals!

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and spent most of high school and college as the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets and animals so nothing phases me! Now that I have a bit more flexibility in my schedule, I’m excited to get back to it. As a dog and cat mom myself, I know how stressful it is to leave your babies behind. Whether it's a quick walk, popping in for a welfare check, or house-sitting while you're on vacation, I promise to treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m also more than happy to accommodate quirky routines. For example, one of my own cats insists on playing a round of fetch every single night before letting us go to bed. Whatever your pets specific quirks are, I've got them covered! I'm currently working part-time so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to pet care. I'm available most of the day and all week (including weekends) Even if your house has a fenced in yard I am always present and alert when if comes to letting pets out and playing with them.

Sam communicated clearly and showed up (for a meet and greet) when she said she would, and best of all, my kind-of-high-strung dog was calm and happy with her here! He liked her and she liked him, and I’m excited for her to take care of him because I feel confident he’ll be in caring and competent hands!

About: Prices are negotiable. I understand when having multiple dogs it racks up to a lot. I am willing to work with you on prices. I’ve had a dog since I was 8 years old. My love for dogs is never ending. I have been taking care of other peoples dogs since I was 19. I’m available to stay with your dog. I am not available to bring your dog to my house. I believe dogs do best in their own environment with all their toys and their own area. I currently work full time for a daycare in Polk City. I work 10hr days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On the weekends I like to take my sister’s dog for a walk unless I am watching someone else dog I will take that dog on a walk if able to. Majority of the dogs I watch stay at home because they know that area better. Anxiety is very common in dogs that get boarded or are away from home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 832 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Linden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Linden stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Linden. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
