“Caroline was great to work with once again! She always makes sure to do extra to make sure the house is in good order while we’re away and spends lots of time snuggling and playing with the kittens. They were so happy to see her.”

“Our dog and cat loved Aubri! It was so nice to leave for the weekend knowing they were so well taken care of! She sent us so many nice pictures and updates so we didn't have to worry at all! She went above and beyond to play with our dog and get his energy out. We will definitely be rebooking!!”

“This was our first time working with Olivia. While we have four cats she checked on, the main client for her was a disabled foster dog who’s been through a lot and can be difficult (because of her disabilities). She handled putting her harness on like a champ (which is even difficult for us) and gave her plenty of snuggles and had marvelous patience. When you book time with her for your pets she makes sure to use it all which we appreciated. The cats didn't need attention this time around but our foster dog needed it covers much and watching them interact showed me that our dog was also comfortable with Olivia and that’s very important to us.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs but more recently have been watching friends and families dogs (including a young lab puppy). Tell me everything about them so I can make them feel more comfortable! No detail is too small. My weekdays and weekends are very flexible for walks and/or check-ins. Please see my schedule for booking—multiple visits per day is no problem for me. I cannot provide home boarding, but I can be flexible enough to spend as much time as you want with your fur baby at your place!
“We had an amazing experience! She took wonderful care of our guinea pigs and tropical frog while we were on vacation, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly reliable, friendly, and communicated with us throughout our trip, sending updates and pictures so we knew our pets were happy and well cared for. It was clear she genuinely cared about them, and we came home to healthy, happy pets. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our little animals!”

“Christina is truly caring and patient with our cat Spaghettio. She was so kind and made even such a shy cat warm up to her right away. She replies right away and always has your pets interest in mind. I highly recommend Christina!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life, so I know how to take care of pets. I help take care of our current pets, a 17 year old dog and a cat with medicine. I’m a big animal lover (I have a degree in Animal Ecology) so I’ll be happy to sit for your pet! I usually work 2-6:30 around 4 times a week, sometimes working the full day (which I mark on my schedule). Outside of this timeframe I am available! I’m not able to keep pets at my house, unfortunately, but I am able to visit with your pet at your home and take care of them there.
About: My mother runs my hometown's animal shelter; I built it with her from the ground up when I was eight. Ever since then I have continued to help when I visit home. I have worked with all personality types, breeds, and exceptional cases. I've done hands-on work with elderly pets to newborn puppies and kittens. In addition, I have house-sat for owners with many cats to one, a variety of dogs, and many with specific needs throughout the day. I myself have a dog and it's my top priority to give your pet everything it needs to be happy and healthy as if it were my own. I work weekdays from 9-5:30 pm but my calendar will be updated biweekly on weekends I’m available at this time. Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding scheduling! I always ask for a very detailed list of where the food and treats are kept, special medication, things they can and cannot have, etc. I also want to know their favorite toys, what their personality is like, do they like to play fetch, go on walks, or just to have some company indoors. If the animal has any health conditions I ask if I should be aware of anything other than medication when it comes to their health. If you pet is shy around strangers I ask to be shown the best way to approach them in your experience during the first meeting to ensure your pet feels safe.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong pet owner and true dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. From energetic walks and playtime to calm cuddles and gentle care, I have lots of love, patience, and attention to give. Your dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness always come first—and I can’t wait to meet your pup! 🐶💛 I'm currently working part-time Monday-Friday. I'm available every afternoon and weekends. If your fur baby can be in a kennel, or fenced in area inside the home for 1/2 day, then I would be available any day of the week. your home or mine, I can insure safety and love of your fur baby. My dogs have full roam of my home, I have indoor fencing if/when needed, take them on lots of walks and they have lots of toys available. Though I don't have any formal training, I love to teach them new tricks. I can provide the same kind of care I would want for my dogs.
About: I have experience with owning my own dog and also taking care of relatives/friends dogs when needed. My dog is a high energy GSP with separation anxiety. I understands the need for exercise and attention. It is me and my 6 year old GSP. I understand what it takes having a high energy breed and make sure she gets taken care of on the daily with playing ball, walks, and cuddles. I can easily add one more pup into the mix during our daily routines. I do not have a fenced in yard. I live next to a park where I run my dog almost daily. If we aren't doing that, we are going on walks around the neighborhood.

About: I usually like animals more than people and treat them with the greatest love and respect I can. My pets and the ones I care for get 5 star service. I have a flexible work schedule as well as free nights and weekends. I can make most anything work and do my best to fit whatever you need into my schedule I have always had pets and I currently have one high energy dog and two high energy cats! I put so much time and effort to make sure my animals are living their healthiest and happiest life. I also have volunteered at the ARL for years, animals have always been one of my biggest passions.

“Alok did a great job in taking care of Zeus! He made sure he played with Zeus, sent pictures and videos and fed him on time. I was surprised how fast Zeus got used to him. Really happy with the services and would hire him again. Thanks Alok?”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and absolutely love being around animals! I grew up with a Lab, two Boxers, and a Morkie, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve also pet sat for many coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family over the years. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets and in your home. My goal is to make your pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Whether they need a long walk, some playtime and attention, a quick potty break, or just a little company, I’m happy to help! I currently offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I’ll also make sure your home is treated with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your pets and give you peace of mind while you’re away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
