Kim is also very responsive and nice, and she follows instructions carefully. About: I’ve had cats my whole life(21 years) and taken care of them. I have also walked my family and friends’ dogs and fed and taken care of them. I’m very capable of taking care of any size dog big or small as long as they are well trained. I can look after any kind of cat or kitten. I have a pretty flexible schedule at the moment because I am home most of the day throughout the week and weekend! If my availability changes I will update my calendar so you are aware. I make sure to provide my cat with all the love and safety that he needs. I spend a lot of time everyday playing with him and making sure he gets his exercise in. While I’m pet sitting at your home, I will give your pets lots of love and attention and make sure they are fed and able to go to the bathroom and/or go on walks if needed.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’m a lifelong dog owner and an experienced equestrian, so I’m very comfortable being responsible for animals of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I understand that every pet has their own routine, quirks, and needs, and I’m happy to follow whatever makes them feel most comfortable while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, feeding, keeping up with a specific schedule, or simply giving them plenty of attention and company, I treat every animal like they’re my own. My experience working professionally with horses has also made me extremely attentive to animal behavior and the little changes that can indicate when something isn’t quite right. I’m dependable, patient, active, and comfortable with everything from energetic pets who need plenty of exercise to animals who just want someone calm to hang out with. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable while they’re with me — and I’m always happy to send plenty of photos and updates along the way! I’m currently home with my mom in Leesburg while taking a break from competitive professional horse showing, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. After years of having my daily routine revolve around horses and animals, pet care fits very naturally into my life. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks and drop-ins, as well as longer visits, weekends, and overnight care when needed. I’m also happy to work around your pet’s established routine to keep things as consistent and comfortable as possible while you’re away. Safety, trust, and making each pet feel comfortable are always my top priorities. With years of professional experience caring for horses and animals, I’m very accustomed to following detailed routines, reading animal behavior, and noticing when something seems out of the ordinary. For dogs boarding with me, I want my home to feel like a comfortable home away from home. I’ll follow their normal feeding, walking, exercise, and sleeping routines as closely as possible while giving them plenty of attention, affection, and activity. I’m also available to stay in a client’s home when that’s where their pet is most comfortable. I’m very respectful of someone else’s space and will keep your pet’s routine and home environment as consistent as possible while you’re away. For walks and drop-in visits, I follow all instructions closely and am careful with doors, gates, leashes, feeding, and any other specific needs. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m coming to them, I’m happy to provide plenty of photos and updates so you can feel confident that they’re safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Celina was excellent! There was a miscommunication on my part, but Celina handled it with so much understanding and she did a wonderful job with our very hyper Aussie. She sent us photos and updates at every check-in. I would highly recommend her for drop in visits.”

“Anum quickly became loved by our 4 dogs and 2 cats. She easily remembered all the details of their feeding and schedule. She fed the entire crew and kept them all happy during a long Easter Weekend. Our emotionally needy GSP and barky Aussie became good friends with Anum. Even our very shy dog came out of her shell !”

“Colleen did an excellent job dropping in on our dog while we were away for the weekend. The text updates on how our dog was doing and what she did during the visits was much appreciated! Colleen is a true dog lover!”

Reagan was amazing with Pepper! 💕 She was always punctual, responsible, and so caring. Pepper absolutely loved her! 🐶❤️ I’m so glad we met her, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets. Thank you so much for everything, Reagan! You’re the best!

Nicole was amazing with our 2 dogs and kitty. We were on a 2 week international vacation and I really appreciated her detailed check-in notes and photos. We have one dog who is skittish and Nicole came over for a meet and greet and a practice visit before we left just to make sure our dog would be comfortable and our dog warmed up to her on the first meet and greet! She kept everything tidy, used up our treats (which I hoped she would with our spoiled girls!) and everyone seemed happy to see us but definitely not lonely. We will try to use her for every trip from here on out and highly recommend for pet drop ins and dog walking!

We had a wonderful experience with Lea! She took perfect care of our two cats, sent updates and photos after each visit and kept their food and litter box areas as neat as a pin. She also brought in our mail and packages so I never had to worry about Amazon deliveries sitting outside. Lea helped us really relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing everything was being taken care of at home. We would definitely recommend her and would not hesitate to book with her again!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
