About: For years, I've walked the fields and trails along the Potomac River with a furry companion - most recently with Flannery, my family's Great Pyrenees who loved romping in Virginia Bluebell flowers and sinking her paws into mud. Animals have always been a part of my life. I've mucked stalls, herded ewes and lambs, evaded headbutting rams, cuddled pigs, milked goats, trimmed hooves, and named a farm dynasty of cats and kittens names like "Nefertiti" and "Isosceles" (after Egyptian royalty and geomotry terms). Animals and their personalities are a source of endless interest for me. “If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.” ~James Herriot I have a flexible work schedule at home and welcome an excuse to enjoy fresh air and exercise together with your pet. I'm available for daycare and dog-walking every day except for Sunday mornings. Your dog can stay indoor in my apartment or outdoor in the fenced-in yard, as needed. I live in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking. If additional space is needed for running and walking in the open countryside, I am also happy to take your dog on a "field trip" to my family's little farm.
“I highly recommend Jaida. She took such wonderful care of my dogs. Sora, who is usually shy and territorial, was very comfortable, and Yuki, who is playful and full of energy, absolutely loved her. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. Thank you for treating them like your own! She was very trustworthy, kept me updated, and even left my house spotless. Highly recommended”

“Thomas was great. Our dog is really low key unless he’s by himself so he just needs someone to stay here with him. Thomas was gracious to take on the boring gig. But Butcher was happy and calm when we got home which is fantastic.”

“Emelyn is the best! The house was left exactly as it was when we left for our trip. Our dog ate all his meals during her stay, which is huge because he usually hunger strikes when we’re not around. We could tell our boy was very comfortable with Emelyn. Will definitely book again!”
“Joanne took such great care of my cat, Frankie, and my home. Frankie can be a little skittish and she warmed up to her very fast, she’s the cat whisperer! I received lots of photos and videos with regular updates. Will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Judith stayed with our two dogs over the Thanksgiving holiday. She came to meet the dogs beforehand and they were immediately comfortable with her. She came by to pick up the house key and it was obvious that both dogs remembered her and were happy to see her. She was easy to reach throughout our time away and communicated regularly. We give Judith a hearty five stars and would love for her to stay with Rooney and Ellie again in the future.”

About: Have only had 9 months total of my life without a dog or a pack of them by my side. Your fur baby will be fostered as one of my own; their walk, run, or potty break is all about them! With guidance from you, we will move at their pace. If they want to go for a run... then we run! If they prefer to walk tree to tree and smell every flower, that's fine too! I am available early mornings and mid-days during the week. I also have availability nightly to check on the pups and make sure they're ready for bed. I look forward to meeting the needs of your family, if it be walking or running the dogs, or making sure they are comfortable in your home, just let me know. I am fortunate enough to have a remote role, so my schedule is usually set to my own dog's needs. I am by no means a gym rat or a marathon runner. Yet that doesn't stop me from getting in usually 2-6 miles a day, both walking and running. While my dog is crate trained, it would be great if yours is as well, for those few errands that may take me away for up to 4 hours at a time (a busy week would be 3 half days in the office)
“Lydia has been such a joy to work with. She truly loves animals and cares about your pet. She was eager to learn our boy Oscar’s personality and made sure he felt special. She frequently updated us and sent lots of great pics. She was also very respectful of our home. Lydia is kind enthusiastic and very professional. Your fur baby will be in good hands.”

“Celina was great with our two pugs! One of them is very people shy, and she had him snuggling with her in no time! She kept us informed as to how our fur babies were doing throughout the weekend. Will definitely use her again!”

About: With a vet-tech mom, I grew up surrounded by animals of every kind. From a young age I learned the real responsibilities of caring for pets, helping her rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats, assisting with grooming, daily care, and even giving medications when needed. Animals have always been a part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally — it’s truly what I love to do Pet care is a normal part of my everyday routine because I have pets of my own, so things like feeding, walking, grooming, and giving extra attention are already built into my day. I also live very close to town, which makes it easy for me to pop over for walks, check-ins, or last-minute visits. With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to accommodate a variety of needs and make sure pets get consistent, reliable care whenever it’s needed. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding, walking, playtime, administering medication, or sticking to specific training habits. I always make sure their space stays clean, they get plenty of attention, and their needs are met exactly as instructed.
“Alex did a great job watching our pups. She was patient with our dog Odie, who has major stranger danger, and was willing to work through those issues. She has been very responsive to messages and took the dogs out frequently. We would highly recommend!”

“Camille was an angel taking care of our babies! She was in constant communication with us and sent tons of photos and videos!! She left the home even cleaner than the way we left it and are so thankful for her. We hope to use her again in the future, our dogs love Camille!!”

“Day was truly a blessing! She took such great care of my senior dog Zeus and my home while I was away. I appreciated her communication and all of the photos she sent. So grateful I found her!”

“We are so grateful that Anahita was able to help us with Boomer, even though it was a little last minute. She was very attentive and responsive. Very lucky to have her close by!!”
