“Joanne did an outstanding job saying with my dog Indigo! She was very dependable, kept me updated throughout my time away and gave Indigo excellent care. I highly recommend Joanne!”

About: I started taking care of neighbors' and friends' dogs, cats, fish, hamsters and birds when I was 14 years old. I love animals and wildlife of all kinds. I have been a cat and dog mom for 28 years and have had 2 leash and dog-reactive dogs (strong, 60 pound+ mutt and pit bull) so I am experienced in dealing with these situations. I have strong situational awareness with my head on a swivel when walking dogs. My senior kitty required specialized medical care at the end of her life with daily prescription medication and subcutaneous fluids. I have volunteered as a dog walker and cat snuggler at Friends of Homeless Animals rescue. I have been a social worker for 30 years and am nearing retirement from full-time employment. I would love to use my love of animals to continue working as a pet-sitter and dog walker. I am very organized, detail-oriented and will care for your pet as I care for my own. I would love to meet you and your pets to see how I can be of service. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday but am retiring at the end of September. My weekends are currently free. I have some flexibility in my weekday schedule so I may be available on a case-by-case basis for weekday dog walks that are in western Loudoun County and within a 10 minute drive of my home. I will care for your pet in your home so that they will be the most comfortable. I am available for overnight stays to keep your pet company and to provide close supervision, lots of TLC, food, water, potty breaks and anything else you may need. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. I am very detail-oriented, responsible and dependable. As a bit of an overprotective dog mom, I have needed to entrust my dog's care to a pet sitter. My dog is my world. So I know just how valuable trust, dependability and attention to detail are. What matters to you matters to me. I will follow your instructions down to the smallest detail. I will be diligent in communicating with you, sending regular updates and photos of your pet so that you know they are safe and happy in my care.
“Grace watched our French bulldog Otis for a week while we were on a family vacation. She provided exceptional care of Otis and our home. She followed our directions for Otis’s schedule and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy. They became best friends by the end of the week! I would recommend Grace to anyone who wants a responsible, kind and caring dog sitter!”

About: I grew up on a small farm and currently live with one sweet cat and two fun pups! I’ve house sat and worked with a wide range of animals- from dogs and cats to fish and farm animals- often caring for multiple pets at once. I’m flexible, dependable, and always willing to adapt to each pet’s routine and personality. I’ve just finished a work contract and have a flexible schedule for the next few months. I’m available most days and can easily adapt to your pet’s routine! I care for pets in their own home to keep them comfortable. I take great responsibility in respecting your home and space, follow routines closely, and provide dependable care with regular updates!
“Celina was the best! She took great care of Theo and kept me updated while I was overseas on my trip. Theo loved her, and he’ll definitely be seeing her again.”

“Lydia has been such a joy to work with. She truly loves animals and cares about your pet. She was eager to learn our boy Oscar’s personality and made sure he felt special. She frequently updated us and sent lots of great pics. She was also very respectful of our home. Lydia is kind enthusiastic and very professional. Your fur baby will be in good hands.”

About: Hi, I'm restarting my animal care business. I want to ensure a stimulated experience with a swift pace and consistent disciplined walking style of what I like to refer to as "nose to toes," where the dogs stay no further than my toe, to my sides, or behind me. I also have experience with aggressive dog behavior, so if a single walk is necessary, I can do that. I have been in the animal care business for as long as I can remember, and I know Fairlington very well since I grew up here. I now live in Harper's Ferry in West Virginia. I will be able to track my walks with a phone app that will track your dog's walking pace, distance traveled, and the route we take. I usually do pack walks of 3-5 dogs depending on size, but I can do singles if needed. I'm also able to cat-sit/dog-sit and care for exotics and birds (no insects). I'm flexible because I have my own cleaning/organizing/declutter business. I wake up however early dog might need be let out or pet given meds, and give at least 3 long 30min-hour walks depending on the energy level and few let outs throught the day if needed for young pups or older if bladder is sensitive. Plenty of loves and can work on training or stimulated play time with toys and puzzles. I will be professional and not have any guests over ever, and always keep doors locked when not there and if plants need care I can help with watering. I have 4 animals myself so it's pretty automatic to just add another pet cuz I've cared for multiple animals at a time or drop in visits when needed throughout my day. Whatever the fmaily requests for schedule when to feed, medicate(if needed), amount of walks and play time needed to make sure they're healthy and stimulated. Whenever they're ready for bed, crate if needed requested by parents, and make sure they go outside(dogs) to ensure no accidents throughout the night. I give them just as much love and attention and play as my own. And feed round same schedule unless instructed otherwise. Giving exercise and play time when needed. And kept to routine of crating if owners instruct.
About: My family has raised goats and chickens since I was around 10, and have had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! I've grown up around animals my whole life and I am accustomed to caring for goats, chickens, dogs, and cats! I'm currently home in Northern Virginia from college for the summer, so I have plenty of time to play with and care for all of your animals!! I have a fenced in yard for dogs as well as plenty of space to take them for walks! As well, I have litter boxes/safety measures set up for my 4 cats. I have 8 goats and 13 chickens so I'm used to making sure the outdoor animals are safe from predators and locked safely into their houses at night.
“Jennifer is wonderful with our pets and also very considerate, leaving our house cleaner than when we left. It's nice to be able to relax on vacation without worrying about how things are going at home. With Jennifer we know everything's fine. Highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old and have years of hands on experience caring for animals. I currently work at a kennel where I care for all kinds of dogs, with specialized experience in administering medication, cleaning and bathing, and safe, confident handling. In addition to dogs and cats, I also have experience caring for exotic pets, including birds and reptiles. I am currently working part-time, so I am available to drop in during most hours every day of the week. My flexible schedule allows me to easily accommodate last-minute requests, midday walks, or specific feeding times to ensure your pet stays perfectly on track with their usual routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines as closely as possible to keep pets comfortable and stress free. I make sure all feeding, walks, playtime, and litter box or cleanup needs are handled carefully, and I closely monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health. I also administer medications when needed and keep the home clean and secure, providing updates and photos so owners feel confident while they’re away.

I genuinely love spending time with animals and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I'm patient, responsible, and attentive to each pet's individual needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a calmer routine, I'm happy to provide the care and attention that works best for them. My schedule is completely open for anything you may need! When caring for pets, my top priorities are their safety, comfort, and routine. In a client's home, I make sure pets stay on their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and needs so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I always keep a close eye on pets during walks and outdoor time, make sure doors and gates are secure, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both pets and their families by providing dependable, loving care in a safe environment.
About: Ever since I was a child, I have loved animals and taking care of them has always come naturally to me. I give attentive, affectionate, and thorough care to all animals I am given the pleasure of working with! I have had a senior dog in the past, so administering medications to a pet is a task I am comfortable with and accustomed to. I am passionate about caring for and working with animals, dogs, cats, and otherwise, and I hope to be able to care for yours soon! I am a recent college graduate, so I have a decent amount of time during the day and evenings to watch, play, and take care of your pets! Weekends before 4:00pm and weekdays before 6:30 work best for me, but I am also available some other times depending on when you need me. I have had many dogs with various energy level and various health conditions. I am more than comfortable providing high energy walks, low energy snuggles, and administering various medications if necessary. I am also more than comfortable giving plenty of love, treats, and head scratchies to your pets on request!

I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. As an active person, I enjoy keeping dogs engaged through walks, exercise, and interactive play. I am reliable, communicative, and always provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. My goal is to treat every pet like family and provide the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I have availability throughout the week for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. During the summer and school breaks, I have even greater flexibility and can dedicate additional time to caring for pets. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, making dog walking and playtime something I genuinely look forward to. “We are so grateful that Anahita was able to help us with Boomer, even though it was a little last minute. She was very attentive and responsive. Very lucky to have her close by!!”

About: I have had a disabled dog of my own since I was 8, he has seizures frequently. I also have dog sat for my neighbor on multiple occasions, of which was very large, required medication, and emotional support for her anxiety. I work part time at a restaurant so I have more than enough time to provide high quality and detailed care to your furry family members. If I work, they're typically nights, so I am more available during the day or after I get off work to do some final check ins with the pets before bed. As the care would only happen in your home, I take great pride in leaving the home better than I found it and ensuring your pets health, comfortability, and safety with the information and materials provided to me.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Eubanks on Rover is $58.72 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 2,618 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Eubanks. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eubanks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eubanks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eubanks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eubanks. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
