I'll care for your pet like my own.
I started taking care of neighbors' and friends' dogs, cats, fish, hamsters and birds when I was 14 years old. I love animals and wildlife of all kinds. I have been a cat and dog mom for 28 years and have had 2 leash and dog-reactive dogs (strong, 60 pound+ mutt and pit bull) so I am experienced in dealing with these situations. I have strong situational awareness with my head on a swivel when walking dogs. My senior kitty required specialized medical care at the end of her life with daily prescription medication and subcutaneous fluids. I have volunteered as a dog walker and cat snuggler at Friends of Homeless Animals rescue. I have been a social worker for 30 years and am nearing retirement from full-time employment. I would love to use my love of animals to continue working as a pet-sitter and dog walker. I am very organized, detail-oriented and will care for your pet as I care for my own. I would love to meet you and your pets to see how I can be of service.

Safety, trust & environment
I will care for your pet in your home so that they will be the most comfortable. I am available for overnight stays to keep your pet company and to provide close supervision, lots of TLC, food, water, potty breaks and anything else you may need. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. I am very detail-oriented, responsible and dependable. As a bit of an overprotective dog mom, I have needed to entrust my dog's care to a pet sitter. My dog is my world. So I know just how valuable trust, dependability and attention to detail are. What matters to you matters to me. I will follow your instructions down to the smallest detail. I will be diligent in communicating with you, sending regular updates and photos of your pet so that you know they are safe and happy in my care.

Kim’s the best! She showed up on time and let me know as soon as she got there. She spent an hour with my pups and gave them so much love and attention. She kept in touch during her visit and sent a lot of pics. I would use her again and again!

Kim is an amazing caregiver for my dogs & cats - she is reliable, easy to communicate with, and cares for my pets as if they were her own. When I urgently needed help due to a change of family circumstances, Kim responded immediately to coordinate pet visits and made me feel a lot better about the whole situation also, since I could stop worrying about my animals. Schedule
I am semi-retired after working for 30+ years in the Human Services field. My weekends are currently free. I have some flexibility in my weekday schedule so I may be available on a case-by-case basis for weekday dog walks and pet drop-in visits that are in western Loudoun County and within a 10 minute drive of my home.
