About: For years, I've walked the fields and trails along the Potomac River with a furry companion - most recently with Flannery, my family's Great Pyrenees who loved romping in Virginia Bluebell flowers and sinking her paws into mud. Animals have always been a part of my life. I've mucked stalls, herded ewes and lambs, evaded headbutting rams, cuddled pigs, milked goats, trimmed hooves, and named a farm dynasty of cats and kittens names like "Nefertiti" and "Isosceles" (after Egyptian royalty and geomotry terms). I live in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking. If additional space is needed for running and walking in the open countryside, I am also happy to take your dog on a "field trip" to my family's little farm.

My last job I worked at the an animal hospital for 10 years. I was also doing pet sittings and walkings on the side. I have experience with both young and senior fur babies. While we don’t have a fenced yard, safety is always my top priority, and dogs are kept on a leash at all times. If a dog is not dog-friendly, I take extra care to avoid high-traffic areas during walks. When a fenced yard is available at a client’s home, I always supervise outdoor time. I carefully follow all feeding instructions and take allergies seriously. I have experience administering oral medications but do not give injections.

I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding, walking, playtime, administering medication, or sticking to specific training habits. I always make sure their space stays clean, they get plenty of attention, and their needs are met exactly as instructed.

About: Have only had 9 months total of my life without a dog or a pack of them by my side. Your fur baby will be fostered as one of my own; their walk, run, or potty break is all about them! With guidance from you, we will move at their pace. If they want to go for a run... then we run! If they prefer to walk tree to tree and smell every flower, that's fine too! I am available early mornings and mid-days during the week. I also have availability nightly to check on the pups and make sure they're ready for bed. I look forward to meeting the needs of your family, if it be walking or running the dogs, or making sure they are comfortable in your home, just let me know. I am fortunate enough to have a remote role, so my schedule is usually set to my own dog's needs. I am by no means a gym rat or a marathon runner. Yet that doesn't stop me from getting in usually 2-6 miles a day, both walking and running. While my dog is crate trained, it would be great if yours is as well, for those few errands that may take me away for up to 4 hours at a time (a busy week would be 3 half days in the office)

About: I grew up around dogs, cats, horses, goats and chickens. I didn't help around the farm too much growing up, but I do a lot now. I'm currently working part time and needed an extra source of income to help pay my college tuition without getting student loans. Also it's something to occupy my days I can keep an eye on pets and can make sure they don't get into anything they are not supposed to like I do for my own pets.
