About: I am very passionate about working with animals and especially dogs. I've owned many pets over the years including dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, fish, goats, etc. and used to live on a ranch. About: I have had a variety of animals always in my life. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and rodents. (All of which I've had at some point) I have also worked for a rescue charity for 7+ years which resulted in having earned basic and emergency care, as well as administration of medication. I have much experience in babysitting - I have been regularly been CPR and first aid certified. I love volunteering and work regularly with the elderly/retired community, mostly as a companion (crafting, reading, conversing). I am retired and looking to fill my time with love and cuddles. About: I’ve been taking care of cats for 35 years. Growing up, we always had at least 2-4 cats as pets. Some were rescues and some adopted us. I’ve been Pet sitting other people’s cats and dogs, and house sitting since 2013. I’m open to caring for other animal species, though I don’t have experience with them. I currently care for an elderly black lab for a couple weekends out of the month. I feed him, we play, take walks, and I give him lots of ear scratches and massages. My experience with dogs has been taking care of other people’s dogs; friends, friends of friends, and roommates’ dogs. I see pets, particularly dogs, as teachers of unconditional love. It amazes me that they seem to instantly love you the moment they meet you and forgive with ease. How I care for my own pet My current kitty and family member is Buddy (King Buddy his Royal Sweetness). I’ve had him since 2020. I’m unsure of his age because he was a rescue. I provide him a nourishing environment with his special rugs, and hiding places. I make him a fort cave in the bed everyday. We have Lots of play time and he has a big backyard to play and sunbathe. He gets Plenty of cuddles throughout the day, and I feed him a high quality diet. I strive to understand his behaviors and communications to the best of my abilities. Through research, close attention, and noticing patterns, I feel confident in understanding his needs in the moment and why he behaves the way he does. I’m interested and open minded to finding ways I can make his life even more enjoyable. I work part time from home so my schedule is very flexible. I am available anytime, everyday. For 1-2 weekends of the month I am out of town, but which weekends I leave is also flexible. I will update my calendar regularly. For these first few months I am keeping my rates low to start off. My first few clients will stay at these lower rates, after I raise them. Care includes; feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up pet messes, cuddles and sending you photos. I am currently unavailable to walk large dogs under one year if they are not well trained. I am open to giving medication, though my only experience with it is putting it on food. I offer additional support such as plant watering, putting out the weekly trash, and mail retrieval. I love and appreciate all animals. I will care for your pet/s as you would care for them. About: I've had dogs my whole life. All different sizes and breeds. Were an active family and love dogs. We love going on walks and the dog park! I'm currently a stay at home mom and have tons of flexibility in my schedule. I have a few times a week when I need to be out of the house but only for a few hours at a time. We have a large fenced backyard but it is a short fence. Some dogs respect it, and if some are motivated they may be able to jump it. We have two cats that primarily live upstairs. We do have a baby gate on our stairs. I'm comfortable crating dogs and own an xl crate.
