“Gracie was one of Grant's many "foster" dogs that we adopted in December 2020 from the Foothill Dog Rescue organization in Shingle Springs. Grant told us he enjoys it when he has the change to care for dogs he had previously fostered. This was Gracie's fourth stay with Grant and we can tell she picks up the familiar "out in the country" scent as soon as we turn onto the main road on the way to Grant's house. From the photos of videos that he sent during her stay, we could tell she enjoyed getting to romp with other dogs, run long distances outside and taking naps and relaxing. Grant's price is extremely reasonable given the value of providing a "woodland" area for the dogs to enjoy, instead of just a backyard in the city! We always know Grant will treat Gracie just like we do, a part of the family. We’ve raised dogs of our own, fostered and helped rescue dogs, and now provide pet sitting and boarding for local families. What makes our care different is that pet sitting truly is a family effort. Your pup isn’t simply dropped off with a sitter—they become part of our household while they’re here. We also only board one family’s pets at a time, allowing us to give them plenty of individual attention, affection, supervision, and a more comfortable home-away-from-home experience. Pet care fits naturally into our family’s daily routine. Since there are several of us helping, there is typically someone home with the pups throughout the day, giving them lots of companionship, potty breaks, playtime, attention, and supervision. We work together to make sure feeding schedules, walks, medications, bedtime routines, and any special instructions are followed as closely as possible. Having multiple family members involved also gives us flexibility and allows your fur babies to receive consistent care rather than spending long stretches of time alone. We want every pet parent to feel completely comfortable leaving their fur babies with our family. Before a stay, we learn as much as possible about each pup’s personality, feeding schedule, potty routine, medications, sleeping preferences, behavior around other dogs, and anything else that helps them feel safe and comfortable. We have two friendly small Goldendoodles of our own, a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and potty breaks, and only board one client families pups at a time, so our home never feels like a crowded boarding facility. We offer meet-and-greets beforehand and require pets staying with us to be up to date on vaccinations. We can also accommodate crate-trained dogs and follow each family’s preferred routine as closely as possible. Everyone in our family understands that every dog is different, so we adjust our care to each pup’s individual needs. We recently adopted another bully mix, Ophelia, who is a little less outgoing socially. I was worried she would take some time to warm up to a new setting, but with the help of her buddy Art making her brave and Kelsey and Alexis being so awesome, she adjusted to her settings and had the best time!! I am so happy to have found Sarah and her lovely family. The second time they hosted Beverly, she jumped out of the car and ran into their home, excited to see them all. There's no better feeling than knowing that your baby is happy while you're traveling. Sarah sent photos and updates, went above and beyond, and clearly cared for Beverly as if she was her own. I can't recommend her highly enough!
Tracy was a great option for boarding our small dog. She coordinated a time to visit with her prior to the dates so we could meet her and for our dog to meet her dog. Throughout the stay Tracy sent us many photos and had great communication. We will use Tracy again soon.
Kandra service was excellent!!! She is a kind caring person who my boy instantly liked. The property was clean with large yards for big dogs. She kept me informed on how he was doing with pictures. Capone bonded with her family as her children also helped care for him while playing ball. Capone is a 110lb pitbull mastiff bread. Hes a rescue, who rescued me. He’s a very big dog and was well taken care of. Kandra cared for him as if he were her own and that means the world to me.
