About: Hey there! My name is Camryn and I’ve been petsitting since I was 15 years old. I grew up in small town Illinois and throughout the years I built up my own clientele, as well as working as a dog walker and at a grooming shop. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I believe my job is 1) to treat your pets as if they were my own and 2) to help your pets adjust to their time away from you as easily as possible! As mentioned, my job is to make your pet’s transition to you being away as easy and smooth as possible. Every dog and cat I have met has unique needs, habits, and personalities; my job is to meet the animal where they are as opposed to them adjusting for me. I love all dogs and cats, but I also love taking care of senior dogs and animals that are shy, anxious, and have their own special quirks. Growing up, my family often took in sick or abused animals. Few things are more satisfying than earning the trust of an animal. I recently got my Bachelor's Degree in Communication, and I'm getting a creative writing certificate online. I’m a huge advocate for overnight stays. With permission, I often pack a little suitcase and live at my clients’ home to take care of their pets. However, every client is different, so we can work on a schedule together! I'm attending Glendale Community College to get a creative writing certificate, and I love to travel here and there. When the calendar says I'm available, my routine allows me to stay at your home or check in on them throughout the day. My goal is to change your pet's routine as little as possible. Safety is the most important part of pet-sitting. It's my job to assure you feel safe with me in your home, to take care of your pets, and to create an environment that will reduce their stress as much as possible; there's no point in going away if you're going to be worried the whole time! Growing up with sick pets, I've been to the vet more times than I can count. It taught me a lot about pet care, signs to look out for, and what to do. Having a pet with extra needs is not new to me- whether they are physical or emotional.

My goal is to keep your pet comfortable by maintaining their normal routine in the environment they know best. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special requests.

“SaMya did a great job checking in on my cats while I was away. She communicated well throughout the visit, sent photos to keep me updated, and gave me peace of mind knowing they were being cared for. Everything went smoothly, and I really appreciated her reliability. I’ve already referred her to a friend, and I would absolutely book her again in the future!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Savanah. We were away for a few weeks, and she took such incredible care of our four cats—it gave us complete peace of mind the entire time. When we got back, they were all happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. She even handled one of my cat's oral medication with such care and attention, which meant so much to us. Savanah kept us updated with regular messages and photos, stayed in great communication, and was always punctual and professional. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pets, but she truly went above and beyond. We’re so grateful to have found her—she’ll absolutely be our go-to pet sitter for future bookings if she’s available!”

“Cristen did a fantastic job caring for our Luna girl even going the extra mile when Luna developed stomach issues on the last day by making one more visit to ensure she was ok. I would highly recommend Cristen!!!”

“Isabel did a wonderful job dropping in to take care of our Lacy! Her feedback and communication with me was outstanding. And she shared photos of Lacy reassuring us that she was happy and doing great while we were gone. We will definitely use Isabel again with future visits.”

“Maddie's awesome! My kitties aren't too friendly, they like to hide, but they loved her! She cleaned litter boxes and even got them a new toy! I'll definitely book with her again!”
About: I have had the privilege of having pets around me my whole life. I grew up with dogs (German Shepherds, Terriers, Dachshunds, Golden Retrievers, and Golden Doodles) as well as cats. As a teacher, I had classroom pets that included birds, hamsters, rabbits, and much more. If I hadn't become a teacher, I would have definitely found myself in a profession involving animals. I am a compassionate and caring person who you can trust to take care of your pets needs. I currently have only one dog, an 18-year-old Norwich Terrier named Cooper. He loves to go on walks, but thinks he can handle more than he should, so I alternate walking him and pushing him in a stroller so that he can enjoy a couple of hours outside smelling, meeting other dogs, and satisfying his curiosity while getting a little exercise I prepare his meals, play and snuggle with him, and try to keep him cognitively challenged by filling his Kong with frozen treats and using his textured mats to provide him with his favorite Buddy Butter. I am currently a resigned teacher and have a flexible schedule. Adding in caring for additional pets is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but didn't have a schedule that allowed me to do this. Depending on what has been needed by my clients, I have been in charge of feeding pets, administering medications, playing and spending time with pets, and taking pets on walks (even if that means taking them on a stroller ride to get some fresh air).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
