Jessica helped manage her allergies and was in contact with me everyday with updates, pictures, and videos. Would definitely book with her again. Cant thank her enough for taking care of my baby girl.”

“Rosie was happy when I picked her up. The next morning she was back to her usual self. With some other sitters, it can take one to three days for her to be back to her usual self. So just from that I’d say Alyssa did a nice job.”

“Kaitlyn was great! She was so caring and helpful in responding to my concerns and questions. Also so prompt in all my communications. It is a big plus to know that she is a vet tech and knows what to do! She keeps her home and pet areas so clean and I love all the puzzles she did with our dogs. She sent pictures with the dog’s activities from each day. I will definitely use Kaitlyn again! She is GREAT!!”

About: I’ve covered private care, dog walking, training, vet settings and grooming over the past 20 years. Currently I’m the lead groomer at a local doggie daycare specializing in behavioral rehabilitation. This means dogs in my care get folded into my pack and taken along for our day. We have a 1/3 of an acre to relax on and can reinforce training or loose leash pack walks during their stay. As I work with dogs full time, we can easily fold 1-2 dogs into our daily routine. Structured feed times, crate rotation, daily training and lots of playing in the yard are already a part of our day. Dogs can come to work with me if necessary where they will have yard access for potty breaks and a private area indoors, or stay home with my older girl who prefers the peace and quiet of sun bathing, and midday breaks for walks or time in the yard. We have a large home and yard to accommodate everyone, employ structured meal times and crate and rotate when necessary so everyone has 1-1 time at home.
“Thomas & Emily are the best pet sitters ever. The love & attention given to Abbey was exceptional. Abbey loved playing with Monster & she was treated like their own which made it so much easier to be away. We loved the updates, photos & video. Meds were also given morning & night. We highly recommend Thomas & Emily. We will definitely use them again. Thank you both so much.”

“Holly & Ana Maria were absolutely wonderful with our dog! He stayed with them for about a week and had the time of his life with their friendly dogs and cat. Holly & Ana Maria are kind and patient and were attentive to our dog’s needs (feeding schedule, walks, potty breaks, sleeping arrangement). They kept updating us about his meals, demeanor, and walks with cute pictures and messages. Our dog was very comfortable and happy with them for that week. We will definitely book them next time we are out of town. We entrusted them with our dog and they certainly delivered. We highly recommend them! 💙 Thank you Holly & Ana Maria for giving our dog love and care. He had a great time with his new human caretakers and animal friends!”

About: Animals have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember—from growing up around my family’s German Shepherd breeding and training work, to years of rescuing and fostering both dogs and cats. I can provide continuous supervision, regular potty and play breaks, and plenty of outdoor exercise tailored to each dog's energy level and temperament. My home currently includes one calm, dog-friendly resident cat, making for a peaceful, low-stress environment where guest dogs receive focused care and affection. I have worked with senior dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens. I am experienced with administering medications and experienced with disabled dogs. I work remotely and am home full-time with a flexible work schedule. I can provide 24/7 care for your dog or cat. I am also available for walks throughout the day and week. While boarding in my home, I am able to be available for feeding or potty breaks as needed. I am able to watch the dog or cat to see what they need when. If I am providing drop in visits or walks, my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and evenings.

“Brad was really great with communication and flexible. Cass seemed to have fit in well with his pack and made herself right at home in his place. I would definitely let Brad watch my doggo again :)”

“Just… WOW! Words cannot describe how pleased we are to have finally found such amazing people like Perrin and Carrie to watch after our dogs while we were away. For years we’ve tried every type of boarding center and other dog sitters on Rover, but the Sanderson Ranch truly takes the cake. Not only is their property a true dog haven but you can trust them to keep your pets safe, exercised, and entertained for days on end. We received lots of updates, honest feedback, and a full report card upon our return so you know they take their dog-sitting duties seriously. If you’re looking for someone who will open their hearts to your pets and care for them as much as you do, look no further.”

“Al and Hannah were phenomenal! They were very responsive and sent a lot of updates through my dog's stay. It made me feel very comfortable leaving Cas with them, and I absolutely will again if the need arises. Highly recommend!”

“Sofi took incredible care of our girl! She was always responsive and sent us frequent updates where I could see how happy Kiwi was. She is very knowledgeable about pet care and I would trust her with Kiwi anytime! Thank you again for giving so much love to Kiwi!!”

“Beatrice did a great job watching over Chopa :) She sent messages and pictures to provide updates during the boarding which was great! I would definitely reach out to her again when we need boarding service again”

About: My husband and I have both taken care of cats and dogs for most of our lives and grew up with a household of pets. We regularly watch both large and small dogs for extended family when they travel out of town. We would be happy to care for your dogs or cats and give them the same love and attention we give our own pets. Our family currently has a 6-year-old chihuahua mix (who hasn’t met a person or pup she doesn’t like). We have a fenced yard with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. We’d love to help out with your pets! You can be sure they’ll get plenty of attention! I work from home, so I am available to stop over for dog walking during the day or just to check on and play with your dog or cat when you’re away. We are also available for dog boarding or daytime care at our house. I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood and one small dog that would be happy to keep your dog company. If your dog is accustomed to crating at night, I’m familiar with crate training as our dogs were trained in this way.
“Becky and Judd have treated Neko so well and if he was there own! They have worked with us on short notice stays, and always keep me updated on how well he’s doing! Neko loves going over there to be watched by their family!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of November 2026, there are 477 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Leyden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Leyden can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Leyden home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Leyden.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Leyden sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
