“Dogs really enjoy themselves here! It’s an open, welcoming atmosphere where dogs can play and socialize with the other pups. I love a good environment that’s comfortable for both dogs and children, and this place fits right in. They have a big backyard for the dogs to run and burn off energy, and overall it seemed like a perfect fit for ours. They’re also very communicative and send pictures, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Patrick and Patricia were so great! They helped us out in a late cancel situation when they didn’t have to. Patrick and Patricia cared about them like their own dogs and gave them lots of attention and love. We are grateful for them and appreciated their care!”

“Dave was amazing! We left our 2 dogs with him over thanksgiving. He gave daily updates with photos and answered any questions super quickly. We have one dog selective dog and he made sure to make him comfortable and not have to interact with any. Our other dog is a flight risk and he made sure she never got out of his yard. I think the dogs enjoyed their vacation as much as we did. We will for sure use Dave anytime he has availability!”

“Anna did a great job with my standard poodle. He was introduced to her two dogs and they had a chance to get acquainted before another dog came later in the day. All of them got along well. I would use her again.”

“We have used Elizabeth and Erik multiple times now! They treat our dog like their own and he always comes home worn out from all the great playing and attention they offer him!”

“Our Willow was cared for and loved just as we would with Shana and her family. Willow even ate right away there (something she doesn’t do often when a little stressed) so she obviously didn’t miss a beat going there for boarding. We will definitely use Shana again if she is available!”

“Michelle was great. We weren't sure how our 14 year old dog would handle being separated from us for several days as he had never been anywhere without us in all those years. With Michelle it was a piece of cake. Stoney had super care and no issues. Would definitely have her care for our dog again.”

“We highly recommend Chee and Ju for all your pet sitting needs! From the start, they were very accommodating and kept us updated with photos throughout the four nights Bentley was with them. We appreciate everything they did for us and will definitely use them again. Bentley was well loved and got plenty of attention and exercise!”

“Jordon and Melisa are wonderful, and their kids are very sweet with our pup! First time finding sitters for our “new to us” golden and I knew she would have such a great time with this family. I think she’s bored at home now! Jordon and Melisa sent photos and updated multiple times and I know our sweet girl was in great hands.”

“Kyle took such good care of my baby Reba! Kyle had high communication with me regarding an ear infection that my pup was struggling with and even took her to the vet when she needed to be seen. My pup was at Kyle’s for over a week and had the happiest demeanor when I picked her up. It was clear to me that she was treated well and had a good time. I’ll definitely use Kyle again for Reba’s care.”

“Millie enjoyed her stay with David and I felt comfortable leaving her after meeting and talking with him. She got to socialize with his dogs which is good for her and she doesn't get to do often. David is very knowledgeable about how to acclimate dogs to new places and make them feel comfortable. We will definitely bring our Millie to him again.”

“Brody's first weekend with Brianna and her family was wonderful! We got lots of pics and videos (which we shared with some guests at our son's wedding - a big hit when people asked where Brody was staying!). Brody especially loves Brianna's daughter and follows her everywhere. We are so thankful we chose this family and will be using again!”

“Susie was great! Hank had a wonderful time playing with her dog, and another dog she was sitting. He came home wiped out from all the running around in her backyard.”

“Brenda and Alvin were great. They have a large fenced yard for my puppy to play in. I really appreciated the daily updates with pictures. Bailey was well taken care of.”

“Julie took wonderful care of our puppy and kept him busy. She went above and beyond, giving him delicious and nutritious dog-friendly treats, and even went out and got him a new collar when the buckle on his old one broke. She was very responsive and sent great photos/updates. Thanks, Julie!”

“Pamela goes above and beyond. Our dog developed a cough and she took him to the vet for care and administered his medicine. She is kind and loving and care deeply about the adjustment and well being of your pet. I was able to enjoy our vacation knowing he was in Pamela’s care. She keeps in communication with you and sends pictures. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable caring compassionate dog sitter and boarder.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lexington
Chelsea and her wonderful family were amazing! We've never been disappointed by a Rover sitter before, but our dog always acted off for a couple of days when we would get back. Chelsea is the first sitter where this did NOT happen in the slightest! Our dog didn't miss a beat and was as happy and herself as ever when we returned. She clearly not only had fun but felt secure and had a routine! Would definitely use again on our next trip to the area!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
