About: I've had a dog since I was 9 years old, and now help care for him in his senior doggy years! I've helped to dog-sit and cat-sit for friends over the years and am excited to help our your best bud! I work part-time, so my schedule is very flexible for me to check up on your furry friends or take them for their daily walks! My schedule varies, so some days I am available all day while other days I am only available after 2PM. I am very observant both in and out of the home, and will keep a close eye on your furry friend whether it be in the house or on a walk.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10, and it’s something that has always come naturally to me. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and look after their pets, and I love being that reliable person they can count on. Each pet has their own personality, and I really enjoy figuring out what makes them feel happy and comfortable — whether it’s a puppy who needs extra playtime or a senior dog who just wants calm companionship. Alongside my pet care experience, I’m CPR-certified for animals and also work as an EMT (for humans, though!), which has given me strong skills in responsibility, patience, and staying calm in any situation. I bring that same level of care and attentiveness to every pet I look after, making sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the family while their people are away. I work part-time as an EMT and full days as a medical assistant on Mondays and Tuesdays (and some weekends), which leaves me with a flexible schedule the rest of the week. Spending time with pets is honestly a perfect balance to my medical work — it feels like a little getaway, and I’ve really missed being around animals. Caring for pets lets me combine something I love with helping out families who need reliable support. I believe pets are happiest in their own familiar space, so I prefer to care for them in their home where they feel most comfortable. I follow each family’s routines closely — walks, meals, medication, and beyond to make sure pets feel safe and secure. With my healthcare background and pet CPR certification, I bring an extra level of attentiveness and responsibility. My goal is to make your pets feel loved and cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands!

About: I've had dogs my whole life and worked at Northshore Animal League for awhile. Seeing these dogs thrive once you put your care and love onto them is one of my favorite things about working with them. They each have their own personality that makes them shine in every way. About: This time in my Life is the first time, I have not had a dog of my own. I have had a dog since I was about 8 yrs old. I love dogs, all dogs and for some reason, I have yet to meet a dog who doesn't like me. I will always treat your dog like my own. At this time in my life.. I want to Love everyone else's dogs. I am retired and home almost all days, and if I am not home and watching someone's dog, I would more than likely take them with me. I enjoy going to dog park with my Nephew Dogs and basically just love hanging out with dogs. I live in an apartment and have no pets. I would make all dogs feel comfortable and I allow Pets on furniture and have toys and treats always in the house. I would take them for walks and dog park. Just talking about it, makes me happy.

About: Hi there! I’m Bryan, new here, but a lifelong animal lover and proud pet parent to my 7 year old rescue pitbull-terrier mix. I have always had a natural bond with animals of all types. I’m especially experienced with skittish or shy rescue dogs. Love cats as well! Offering walks, drop ins, and sittings in LI. Preferably only overnight sittings in NYC due to distance, LI sittings are fine for me to go back and forth to. For walks & drop in’s, I’m in Nassau county so wherever I can get quickly is best. Mostly available on weekdays but potentially some weekends. I can’t offer sittings at my home due to my dog, but more than happy to sit at yours. I love clear instructions on how to care for your pet so I can be sure to follow them for the pets diet, routine, and needs. Safety is a top priority, I’d be sure to keep any doors or gates closed and always be on the look out for any hazards. I would treat your home and pet the way I would mine. About: I’m passionate about dog care. I rescued my own dog about 6 years ago, at the beginning of COVID. I crate trained him and taught him basic commands. I love giving dogs the most perfect day by going on walks at different places and giving all the belly rubs! I have dog sat for friends in the past, my dog gets along great with new friends. I currently work in a hybrid role so I am flexible with the days I can work from home. I am mostly available Friday - Sunday for walks and checks in. During the week I am available in the evenings for walks. I closely pay attention to detail and instructions left so your pet is cared for the way you would! I am very respectful of your animal as well as your time and home. I will treat your pet as my own.

About: I have a German shepherd who gets treated like royalty; from her cozy bedding for her afternoon naps, to her healthy-quality treats, and even me changing up the route of her walk so she doesn't get bored, are a few things I do for her that keeps her energy and mood up. I have a huge heart and just genuinely care about living things because they have feelings too. Generally, I am a pretty reliable person; I don't have children and Rover Pet Care seems like the perfect position to supplement my schedule with emotional rewards. While caring for pets, I always keep an eye on them at all times (they can get into things that they aren't supposed to sometimes), when walking my dog, I never let her be in control and is trained to walk by my side with obedience. Treats should be given sparingly and after they have listened to a command. Lastly, discipline is important, especially at puppy stages in order for them to know what is right and wrong.

About: I first worked with a Husky and fell in love. Since then, I have become expert at doggy needs and wants. My true calling indeed! I can never find myself not gravitating towards dogs and connecting right away. I treat your dogs as if they’re my own! I never shy away from giving them exactly what they need and deserve and my happy and hopeful positive energy always serves as a reminder that your pets won’t be disappointed around me! When I care for dogs I make them my number one priority, with reflexes like no other and making sure they’re never in harms way. I am diligent and always apply that to my efforts when taking care of these amazing furry pals. Never do I fail to succeed or disappoint (both the pet, and the pet owner)! You can trust and believe that your pet will have the best of times with me. I love being outdoors or inside relaxing on the weekends, but I love being accompanied, especially by dogs and their bolting energies and different personalities. I know pet care will slide smoothly into my weekend routine and feel just right to spend the weekend doing something I love while contributing to helping someone else! For pet care I always try to get to understand a pets boundaries first so as not to become distrustful in any way. I always find it a good idea to try to learn about pets and their personality types first from owners and ease in to owning their trust, friendship and most importantly, safety. Some things I do consist of making sure their fed and have the adequate amount needed for their size and weight. On going out occasions I always make sure to keep them out of harms way and once again, recall their boundaries in case something happens outside out of my control. Safety and comfort is my number one priority first and this is applied to any service. On dog walks, I make sure to have everything they’ll need and come prepared for any mishaps that may occur along the way. My preparation and dedication to the comfort I wish to bring to my furry friends is all that has mattered to me always.

“Kristen watched our two mini-Aussies this past weekend. It was out first time using a house-sitter, and first time working with Kristen, so we were a bit trepidatious. What we didn’t k work but we’re overjoyed to find out is that Kristen literally elevated dog/house sitting to an art form.
